When I saw your posting I thought you were referring to the Dicks in Pattaya meeting that encourages those from the outter provinces to bring their sexiest boys to Pattaya for low season. I guess you missed that meeting at Corner Bar last week. There was even an amendment to pay extras for the larger appendages. That amendment did not pass but there were some other ones that did. Please see the minutes of the meeting for actual details.

I was under the impression that they did this anyway. The hotels I stayed at always said it was a requirement.

I agree with you WowPow. Tonight we saw Le Reve at the new Wynn hotel. It is a great show full of acrobats. Part of the way through, I thought of the Future Boys fuck show with them guys on the swings. If only the hotel had incorporated a bit of that into their show, perhaps it would have added a little flare. I have enjoyed the city a great deal and had a lot of fun here. The shopping is great and the gay boys are everywhere. I just hate that in order to get to the shows, you have to walk through the slot machines and poker tables and I end up loosing more money than I spend in Thailand in a week in about 40 minutes.

The new forum software was a much needed change. DCForum stopped supporting its software and there was no way to add or get support for it. After a year, we decided that this board was the way to go but only if we were able to get all the forum topics converted over. We have now done this and we hope you get used to the change. There are many differences and many improvemenets. We will also be adding blogs, and galleries to the forum area. Play around the forums and test things out. Another comparison. Most of the movie theatres are in the casinos. You have to walk through all the eye candy of the slots to get to the theatre. In Pattaya, is the the same, you have to walk through all the eye candy of the hot guys cruising the malls or working the stores to get to the movie.

I am currently in Las Vegas. I have always enjoyed Las Vegas and it is always referred to as Sin City. But, it does not even compare to Pattaya. The boys here are charging 225 US for an hour and around 1,000 for overnight. The selection of boys are few and far between. Most of them work on the Internet. Years ago, there was an area of town to go and pick up on the street but that seems to have disappeared. The new mall, the largest in Vegas is fantastic and I spent most of the day there yesterday. It has some of my favorite stores plus a wide variety of gay boys to chat with and talk to. There are many gays in Vegas and they have several clubs and discos and they are much better than the old Hollywood but it is missing a bit of the charm. I was in San Francisco last week and I will say I think it has more Asians there than Asia does and it is easy to pick up hot boys from the bars and from the Castro. However, all in all, you guys in Pattaya have it made. Keep enjoying the great selection of boys and bars! You win when it comes to sin.

Russia and Thailand seem to be moving toward more open Visa regulations. It is now very easy for Thai's to get into Russia and vice versa. Thailand seems very comfortable with this Katoy and gay residents. Gay Pride parades are in every city and seem to be well embraced. A recent Russia protest really disappointed me. I have had friends who have gone to Russia on a few occassions and said the boys there are hot and sexy but everything is very underground. Not true in Thailand. What happens is that you can chat with any guy on the Flirt for free. You are in a Public room and you can see the guys in their underwear and chat to them. There is NO cost for that. When you want to see more than that, you can opt to take them into a private room and tell them what you want them to do and they do it with no clothes on. JO, Play, etc. If you get a couple on there, they will actually perform for you. It is not everyone's cup of tea as those of you living in Thailand have the live thing nightly, but many enjoy the chat and the flirting. Having been to MORE than my fair share of girl bars, they were permitted. There was nothing left to the imagination. All the shows in Pattayaland and many of the more well attended shows had not only full nudity but vagina games. Permitted? Not sure. Happening? Yes.

I appreciate all the attention to our site on the issue of the Virus from our friends at Bath-Stop. It is nice to know that one of their most popular threads is dedicated to GayThailand.com. GayButtton, the voice of reason, tried to put out the fire to no avail. We take all instances of a virus on the server very serious. When it first came to our attention, we had the hosting company run a complete scan of not only the site but also the entire server. They found nothing that was suspicious. We also had the programmers check things out and according to them; there was nothing on the site that could be considered a virus. They did find that one banner at the top left was in a continuous loop instead of rotating as it should. They fixed this problem and we have had no other reports of viruses of any kind. Some of the posters on Bath-Stop say they got a virus on this site but in the past said they never visit the site. If you don’t visit the site, it would seem impossible to have a virus from the site. Either you were not honest when you said you were not going to visit the site or you are dishonest now when you say you got a virus from the site. The site sits on a server and behind an expensive well-protected firewall. That does not mean it is hacker safe. It means it is very difficult to get anything beyond the firewall. We also keep running the virus updates on a regular basis to maintain the safety of the site and server. Both Stef and I use Mac computers so we did not see any alerts or problems. When we first heard of issues, we immediately contacted the hosting company and the programmers to try to replicate the problem. They were unable to do this. When we were told it was on the first page of the site, we had the programmers run a bug test of the site and they found the continuous loop error in the left top banner and fixed it. Since then, we have had no complaints. This was all done and finished Day 1 since we heard off the issue. We have heard no other complaints since then. I do not deny that there was an issue. We have just been unable to find any virus at all. The loop error was the result of a programming glitch. It was not dangerous and did not affect any other computer. If there were more I could tell you I would. I just don’t know what to say when we are unable to replicate the problem and the system has been run 3 times for virus issues and we cannot find one. However, Snowy and Catawampus are the most reliable posters for the Baht-Stop and their word is gold in my book, so I would most definitely trust them and heed their advice on this. BTW: I read Cat’s post to say that he once picked up a virus and he did not state that it was on GayThailand.com. His message was ambiguous where he got it and so I will assume it was from another site or e-mail. I know what a pain in the ass that is as when I had a Window’s computer, I had issues all the time. I enjoyed Memories and it was full of customers more than any other bar I saw. But, I always enjoyed the Come In bar the best. Toward the end of my last stay, I liked Corner Bar and Three Zone. Come In seems to have good regular customers and the waiters are consistently nice and friendly. Corner Bar has a great location but when the boss was away the service was not as good as when he was there. I hear they make a good cup of coffee.

I really don't care if they are empty at times or not. They did a great job on the area and it really does improve the look of Sunee. Corner Bar started this trend and others have joined in. Kudos to them all. I don't think many open bars in Pattaya to make money but more of a hobby and to have fun. I was told by many that the goal should be to break even. haha In any case, there is lots of cash in Pattaya and I cheer anyone on who is able to improve the city or an area in the city.
