Wow reader. I think you should monetize your experience and start one of those reviews line lol. We all would be happy to chip in 500 baht 🤣

As someone that grew up in Asian country, I know what it feels like being a closeted gay man! (I am now in my mid 30s) I wonder what is the gay perception in Thailand is despite it being legalized in society. Here is one such fact “A 2019 UNDP survey showed that 53% of LGBT respondents had faced verbal harassment, 16% have been sexually assaulted, and 42% have pretended to be straight in order to be accepted in various settings. 47.5% of the respondents had experienced at least one form of discrimination from within their family. As a result of stigma and discrimination, 49% of the LGBT respondents said that they have contemplated suicide, and 17% that they had attempted to take their lives.” So despite it being legalized, Thais still face societal repercussions for their sexual preference. I think this would contribute to the fact that many Thais (incl masseurs and gogo boys) would identify as “straight” but not necessarily so behind closed doors. Alas, its good to understand that despite all of what is known about Bangkok being gay capital of the world, the society is still much more conservative than what we are used to in the west.

Question to the veterans here, Have you had experience where you LTed / take the SK masseur out for an evening? Or is that common and just isolated to go-go boy / app.

Many businesses pushes / encourages their staff to get google review such as say a tailor/suit business in Hoi An to a hotel staff in Marriott Asia. However, how their reward and comps are tied to it is another matter… Ssense is probably the only place that emphasizes google review. I reckon, none of the other massage places have even 100 reviews lol.

Im sure theyll more than happy to oblige

Any sex act with strangers (be it hookup, at bath house, gogo dancer, massage parlor) carries risk. One way to mitigate STI is through taking DoxyPrep which reportedly reduces 87% chance. Wondering if you had unprotected sex (anal) and whether you saw any symptoms like blisters or wound

Always a pleasure to read your post! I dont recall last time you offed anyone from bar so presumably you dont think its good value say compared to SK or worth trouble. which bar you think is worth going these days for entertainment value (less drag, more boys) I have listed these but may not have time to go to all: Dreamboy, Jupiter, moonlight, hotmale, freshboy (twink), banana club

Does prime massage take Line booking at all? -
Thats a spot on observation… valid even when I was at random massage parlor in Bali… “is the guy outside your br?”,,,

Thanks for the report. Did you end up offing anyone or just window shopping and enjoying the show?

Average salary for graduates in Bangkok ranges 20000-30000 baht with a bachelor degree. Retail worker earns only 12000 baht a month. Massage therapist easily earn 30000-80000 baht+ a month (based on job posting from massage shops). I am sure a Go Go boy earns as much … I think the monetary incentive is certainly still there for those who wants to do it…

In reviewing massage parlor catalogue, I would say 95%+ of boys listed there as straight (take SK shops for instance across the board) . Although some are even listed as straight but can bottom interestingly. - I read somewhere in Thailand the word straight does not necessarily mean sexual orientation but rather mannerism? (versus being feminine). - I feel like at least 30%-40% of boys in the industry is at the very least bisexual. I cannot imagine just how sustainable a real straight guy fare in the industry (although they could be continual revolving door) - Does it even matter in the end if you feel you are with a real straight person versus a gay guy. Does it effect your experience at all?

Who’s getting married next year??🎉

I am wildly amused at this X account @tbriburn5 which advertise fun if you actually buy something (a hat, perchance?) Looks to be a very rundown general apparel shop but with the main attraction being “fun”, and specific location being advertised The entire concept is almost comical and I am not sure if these guys are serious or just for entertainment… but thought I would share…

You got me! 😂😂🤣 So some profile also has LGBTQ+ friendly, so combining those two are perfect

Heres another one that I came across https://gobuddy.co/?location=Bangkok

Chiang Mai could be interesting.- there are some massage shops there like. Gentle massage, etc. The sights are also interesting (white temple, elephant sanctuaries, food scene, etc). If you dont mind venturing out of the country - Vietnam or Manila could be interesting too (depending what kind of guys you like as they look fairly distinct).

Thanks for sharing. I guess the question can be worded as "does he (fill in the blank)?" could be helpful - although I would steer away from dictating the exact program in fear of getting things too mechanical versus going with the flow.

Its interesting you mentioned about the trustworthiness of review. I would be very curious to see you expand on that thought. I agree to take these reviews with grain of salt primarily because they rate anyone with lowest score of 4/5 or 7.5/10. I mean, if that's the baseline I take that as reliable as Google review of 4/5 which isn't much - average at best. They also often collaborated and/or inform the store which is at times function of necessity because they take pictures of facility and masseurs. At the very least the masseur would be aware that they are being reviewed which tilt the bias toward more "curated" experience. Looking forward to your post on this subject.

@macaroni21, you are a true connoisseur of massage shops lol.😆 . I appreciate the foresight. I just read your magically massage review and it did crack me up for the night 😂 While I have you here - wanted to pick your brain type 2 shops (TCS, Wabi Sabi) with the review often mentioned that B2B / Super Soft is often offered midway. Since I dont speak thai, do you think its a good idea to use Google translate in the beginning to say something along the line - “if there is “enhancement” at the end, I want to try” … not wanting to sound overly blunt, yet dont want to miss in case there is opportunity

I am seeing that many boys are actually available at multiple stores (Kman, Phet, Home, One, Gbeat). So, which leads to next question - which one has better facilities? Based on my research, Gbeat > One (VIP) > Home (VIP) > Phet > Kman .. I think first thing is not to have bed on the floor….and also washroom in the room would be a huge plus….

I would say GO! (Although mind you. i have not gone myself 🤪), but I mean - hey - many people there are not 100% models like @Kiwi306 said. Go with expectations of just enjoying the show and maybe with some steamy activities as bonus. Its so dark in these places that truly sometimes you cant tell whats infront of you anyway .. and when people are “in the mood”, I think a meat is a meat. @Kiwi306, would you agree that no matter what your tribe and shape, you still recommend to go?

Thanks. I suspect due to the events on weekends.

Thanks, can you comment on the crowd type? Can everyone have fun despite not being the most fit lol
