I can pitch in with my own experience: Sauna: 69 >>> Magnum, smaller but also cleaner, nicer and the clientele fit what I was looking for. Saw action almost everyday I visited including a Tues and a Mon. The wet steam room is a great place to be. But the dark areas can also be fun. Some people can be nicely upfront - I had multiple guys try to assemble threesomes during the weekend near the dark area. And on a Monday, hooked up with a hot German guy visiting. When I went to a hammam a 10 years ago, I was with a friend and we were both made to wear what can only be described as a "paper thong". Our hammam attendant was an elderly grandma though so the experience felt more like you were being scrubbed like a kid.

I have the impression that many would. Higashi Shinjuku has a few branches around the neighborhood. Another travel hack : if flying via Haneda, there's an onsen in the airport. Clutch for late night arrivals or late night departures.

Beautiful beaches. However, main thoroughfares can get crowded with (mostly) Brits.

Going there soon - other than online, is there action elsewhere? Saunas or hammams? Maybe cruising bars or clubs? Is the scene dodgy - asking as I'm traveling solo.

Any new on-the-ground reports on Budapest? Planning a trip there between Vienna to Belgrade - trying to see if still worth a 3-4 day stop. Also would love to hear news/updates on Rudas bath house!

Curious about Royal Hammam - how pushy are the guys in terms of getting work? And when you do use them, do they have the classic "limits" - i.e. top only, no kissing, no oral, etc?
