https://theweek.com/speedreads/617343/donald-trump-turned-back-closest-friend-when-heard-aids Trump even stuck with Cohn through his disbarment proceedings, when Cohn was hit with charges of fraud, deceit, and misrepresentation. And while Cohn was indeed disbarred in the end, it wasn't until Trump learned that Cohn had been diagnosed with AIDS that he decided to sever his ties with his mentor. "Donald found out about it and just dropped him like a hot potato," Cohn's longtime secretary Susan Bell said. "It was like night and day." Cohn was reportedly stunned by the betrayal, after all he'd done for Trump. "Donald pisses ice water," he is quoted as saying in Barrett's 1992 book about Trump. The company a man keeps is one thing — but perhaps a whole other is why he leaves in the end. Read the full story in Politico.

FROM THE WASHINGTON POST: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/a-sympathetic-look-at-the-rise-and-stall-of-gay-conservatives/ar-BB1lMfvM?ocid=winp2fptaskbarhover&cvid=7523ca2162ba4bc6fa806244b9ea7f72&ei=16&sc=shoreline At the national level, gay Republicans have been betrayed and insulted by every Republican presidential candidate since Reagan. In 1980, they had reasons for optimism. Despite Reagan’s conservative bona fides, two years earlier he helped defeat a California referendum that would have barred gay people from teaching in public schools. But as president, his embrace of the religious right was so close, and his administration’s antipathy for people with AIDS so pronounced, that it further stained the Republican Party’s reputation with gay people. George H.W. Bush ran as a moderate and even signed gay-friendly legislation like the Ryan White Care Act and the Americans With Disabilities Act before abandoning tolerance to court the religious right. Less than a decade after he left office, his son campaigned as a compassionate conservative, and then ran for reelection supporting a constitutional amendment to forbid same-sex marriage. Donald Trump also seemed to embrace LGBTQ people as he campaigned for the 2016 election, but as president he nominated judges hostile to LGBTQ rights and supported policies that made it easier for people claiming religious exemptions to discriminate against sexual minorities.

While the Dystopian-in-Chief snoozes in court, the downward spiral of DJT stock buries the MAGA cult in investment losses. Every share they’ve bought since the IPO is now substantially in the red. It’s said that “gas prices” and “inflation” are “pocketbook issues” that motivate voters. It will be interesting to observe how MAGA folks getting their pocketbooks picked by this blatant con influences any voters come November — just weeks after the full force of the unlock buries DJT in single digits.

Trump's campaign claimed he showed up at a Chick-fil-A in Atlanta and bought attendees chicken and milkshakes. His supporters spread a video far and wide of a Black woman, who appeared to be a random customer, hugging Trump and claiming the media has downplayed his Black support. But it was later revealed that the woman is a Republican operative with ties to the Georgia Republican Party and Charlie Kirk, the founder of right-wing activist group Turning Point USA. And as the liberal outlet Meidas Touch noted, Trump’s campaign has deployed similar theatrics to give the impression other groups of voters like him, too. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-s-chick-fil-a-photo-op-underscores-his-weakness-with-black-voters/ar-BB1lFWTu?ocid=winp2fptaskbarhover&cvid=ff4b1a0c92e6445e98e2246ed0fe4741&ei=15&sc=shoreline -

I wish Jeanine Pirro had done the interview. I get a kick out of her slurring her words. Does she keep a bottle of booze under her desk?? That woman would have demanded a free bottle or box of wine instead of a milk shake from trump. -

I'm envious of the people who are getting trump sneakers, bibles, doormats, etc. etc. etc.😄 These are the fashion forward people who will be strutting their stuff at the Met Gala. Anna Wintour is planning an issue of Vogue about the TRUMP LOOK. You could be on the cover!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

20 votes he can count on. Won't have to "find" any votes in Georgia this time???????????????? -
Be careful where you sit. Trump properties have a history of bed bug problems. Be careful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "[Linder] was advised by the Trump resort staff and/or management that the guest room in the Jack Nicklaus Villa building tested positive for bedbugs," the complaint alleged. "Trump National Doral and the Jack Nicklaus Villa building in particular, has a history of severe bedbug infestation, going back to at least the beginning of 2016."

https://newrepublic.com/post/174324/trump-super-pac-paid-melania-six-figures-speak-house-report Melania raking it in.💲 In other words, Trump effectively got his biggest supporters to pay his wife six figures to speak at his fundraising event at his house. The payment to Melania—made in December 2021 by Donald Trump’s super PAC at the time, Make America Great Again, Again (which has since shuttered)—was not listed on the super PAC’s list of expenditures made public last year. Instead, the hefty remittance to his wife was initially disclosed as two payments (of $125,000 and $30,000) to the “Designer’s Management Agency,” where Melania is a client. In a personal financial disclosure filed Thursday, Trump made clear that the super PAC’s $155,000 December 2, 2021 expenditure went to his wife. That payment lines up with a private fundraising dinner for the super PAC, held at the Trumps’ residence at Mar-a-Lago. One seat at that event cost $125,000. “The Make America Great Again, Again super PAC also spent more than $350,000 at Mar-a-Lago in 2021 and 2022,” the Times notes.
