I wish to post an update on Tawan. I have spent quite a long time looking at many of the posts on this thread.
Yes, it is in a much smaller venue now. I was there a couple of weeks ago. It was fairly full, but I guess it would be crowded in high season.
I understand that there are 2 shows. Some of the guys are certainly bodybuilders, but there is a wide variety of body types. There are naked posing routines as well as fucking shows
I was approached by one bodybuilder after his routine and he asked me if I wanted to 'off' him. I asked how much and he told me 2000 baht. He was one of the older guys, but that's what I like. I'm no spring chicken,but I work out regularly.
The total cost was 500 baht entry (including one free drink), 500 'off' fee plus his 2000. He told me that one bodybuilder charges 5000 baht and also that there is a Mr Thailand working there.
Now, to get to the crunch. He was completely honest. I had already paid him at the hotel, but for some reason I went to pay him again again and he reminded me I had already done so. He was also very concerned that he give me complete satisfaction, not just going through the motions. I love tongue kissing and he was very obliging. We arranged to meet at the nearby Mango Tree restaurant the next day at 6pm, then go to my hotel room. Surprisingly he took me to Tawan first, rather than going straight to the hotel, in order to pay the off fee, so that again reinforced his integrity. I offed him 4 nights running, the last time being the day before I returned home
I asked for his phone number. I wasn't born yesterday and I know he's straight and that he will now be soliciting someone else, but I found him to be so refreshing and genuine that I'm thinking of sending him some money. He's getting older and told me he has had heart problems, confirmed by the manager. I wouldn't go overboard and would not expect anything in return. BTW I have only used barboys occasionally prior to this. There was always enough action at the renowned Babylon sauna ...alas, no more. Maybe a victim of covid
Closing point. I believe you can go to a room, for which you pay a few hundred extra baht, but it pays to stay at a nearby hotel. You also avoid taxi fares and driving time, and will avoid the likelihood of being asked for extra money to get a taxi back.
