Yep, It's a big destination for gay guys in Europe. Some great resorts that cater specifically to gay guys, along with lots of nightlife along the lines of Soi4 or Jomtien, but with cruise bars and no go-go bars. You'll find lots of dark rooms, but you won't find anyone to "off" for a fee. You might find money boys on the apps. But, the pink premium is charged.

Broken aircon on Qatar Airways flight has passengers melting

Not for the profit margins of the company. -
I always do. Disturbing that so many apparently do not. I suppose the law of probability is in their favour that something like this won't happen.

Broken aircon on Qatar Airways flight has passengers melting
omega replied to reader's topic in The Beer Bar
Unfortunately the crew don't really have the say. The Captain will have been pressured by the company to keep the passengers on board in the hope that the problem would be fixed quickly and the plane could depart swiftly. Disembarking the passengers would have required the whole boarding process to be done again; a good 30-40 minute delay after the issue was resolved. That said, communication and handling such a situation seems like it could have been improved for sure. -
Budget is the primary concern, and there just isn't any good flight deals around the Christmas period. Hotel prices too, tend to be more expensive over this period, even in non-christian countries. Basically, take a good price at any other time of the year, and double it. So to keep the budget, I think I need to be looking closer to Europe. Completely agree. And judging by the demand hikes around that time of year, many others also agree

Lively seminar about men’s sexual health
omega replied to reader's topic in Health, Nutrition and Fitness
Excercise is probably the cheapest and most effective thing a guy could do to improve his "performance". It solves a number of issues: Improves circulation, so blood can get to the important places Improves stamina and stregnth so you go longer and harder. Improves mental health, making you feel better about your own body And also makes you more attractive to the boys... which could help on the bargaining front Of course if you're already a mature adonis, and you're still having some issues getting it up, have a chat with your doctor; it could be symptoms of something else. A friend of mine in his 30's went to his Doctor about ED, found out he had a nasty case of untreated hypertension. -
Similar in price as those to Thailand

I'm based in Europe, and this year I don't have a big budget. Because I don't have much in the way of family, I like to escape to somewhere warm with pretty guys to chase. Normally, Thailand would be on my list; but demand leads to flights and hotels being more expensive than normal. Anyone have ideas for somewhere fun to go at Christmas in Europe... preferably somewhere warm and sunny. Gran Canaria is on my list... but it's expensive for what it is. Other places I haven't thought of/considered?

Would be disappointing if so. I wonder what the point would be? Might make it a little easier for employers to hire foreigners, but would entirely miss the market for digital nomads, and remote workers employed by non-Thailand based companies, who might like to spend a few months working in Thailand without worrying about VISA or tax issues. No issues with the "bond" payment for Digital Nomads who don't have a steady income, but an option should be there for employed remote workers who have a regular salary coming in to prove they earn $xxxx per month.

From the internet: Non-sponsored hotel bookings refer to reservations made directly by travelers without any form of sponsorship or affiliation with an entity that might influence the booking decision. These bookings are typically made independently through various channels, such as: 1. **Direct Booking through Hotel Websites**: Travelers visit the hotel's official website to book rooms. 2. **Online Travel Agencies (OTAs)**: Websites like Booking.com, Expedia, and Agoda, where travelers compare prices and book hotels. 3. **Travel Agents**: Independent travel agents or agencies assisting travelers with bookings. 4. **Phone Bookings**: Calling the hotel directly to make a reservation. 5. **Walk-ins**: Booking a room upon arrival at the hotel. The key characteristic of non-sponsored bookings is that the traveler chooses the accommodation based on their preferences, budget, and requirements, without any external incentives or deals from third parties (like employers, event organizers, or promotional campaigns) that might otherwise direct their choice.

Can't verify ThaiFriendly. Never used it. Grindr is well used in BKK and Pattaya. 10k is way, way too high. Avoid these, clearly trying to rip you off. If anyone asks, this isn't your first time in Bangkok Some folk are very trusting and don't think of this: Keep your valuables in the room safe when you invite someone to join you at your hotel, don't leave your phone and wallet on the side when you go to shower with them in the room - especially so if they're from Grindr, TF. Enjoy and have fun!

The Police are free to organise and march in their own parade. They have no right to insist on marching in someone elses event. That's literally the opposite of freedom. The organisers of Pride are free to choose which organisations are or are not invited to join in their event. Given the police were the front line in persecuting gay men in many "free countries", that this persecution is still well within living memory, that even since legalization their institutional homophobia has resulted in crimes not being properly investigated, its easy to see why there is a complicated relationship between the police and the LGBTQ+ community.

That's good. I always stuggle to find a 7/11 when I'm in Thailand. /joke

Has this new law affecting US museums gone too far?
omega replied to unicorn's topic in The Beer Bar
I think its just bad law making. They were focused on fixing the wrongs and didn't give enough thought to unintended outcomes. It's not surprising that organisations prefer to err on the side of caution when it comes to legal requirements, especially when it may cost them money. The Trumps, Orbans, LePens will always find receptive auditoriums because they know how to exploit peoples prejudices and fears. There will always be something that they will dress up as being an overwhelming threat to their audience. In this case, how many people *actually* care that the Museum has removed these pieces from display? The objects are still safely stored, and I would imagine are still accessible to historians who request access. The display spaces will be used to show a different exhibition. -

When a society moves from seeing children as free labour and instead sees them as a costly 20 year project, its inevitable that the birth rate drops. People go from having 4 or 5 children, to having 1 or 2.

Pattaya celebrates completion of Jomtien beach restoration
omega replied to reader's topic in Gay Pattaya
I didn't realise it was gay friendly rather than gay exclusive. When I was there, and it was only for a few hours each on a couple of days, there were only gay men there. Only women were the massage/pedicure ladies. -

Yes. I was there over Christmas. There is a couple of sections of beach loungers/chairs/Umbrellas with Rainbow flags flying. Just walk along towards the Rabbit Resort, and you should see them -

Removed from Delta Airlines flight for wearing revealing clothing...
omega replied to unicorn's topic in The Beer Bar
And I suspect, given whats in the article, that no-one complained, and simply one or more of the Cabin crew took issue. If it was a customer complaint, the cabin crew probabaly would have not have called it "offensive attire". They probabaly would also have asked her in her seat to cover up, instead of summoning her to the front of the plane. But lets ignore the double standards. A guy can walk around in a tight t shirt with his pecs (or man boobs) and nipples clearly visible through the fabric and no-one wants us to think of the poor children. -
Removed from Delta Airlines flight for wearing revealing clothing...
omega replied to unicorn's topic in The Beer Bar
There is a picture of what she was wearing in the article from what she had taken in the airport. It doesn't look particularly revealing. It doesn't look like her boobs were on show for "children to admire". At best it looks like her nipples might have been showing through the fabric because she wasn't wearing a bra. It's weird that men with well defined pecs, or well defined man-boobs, can wander around with their breasts and nipples on full show through their t-shirts, but if a woman does it... "oh please won't someone think of the children!". There is no mention that other customers had an issue with her. Just the flight crew. Who rather than being discrete and asking her politely to put something on, decided to publicly shame her. -

The Land of the Free (to do as you're told) What a joke. Delta Employees are not the fashion police, nor are they morality police. Utterly wrong. -
Absolutely inappropriate then. Yeah, I'd be making complaints.

If your fiance genuinely looks like he might be underage to someone who has just met him, then I would suggest that you take the sour with the sweet. In all other ways you've got the best of both worlds, and it is important that those who would traffick children are stopped. If your fiance in no way looks like he might be underage, then I would share with your indignation and insult, and make an appropriate complaint about how their policy has been misused to humilate you.
