  1. I'm here basically in the Philippines to look for a retirement place other than Pattaya Pattaya was first on my list but I'm still searching. I have ruled out General Santos City, and Davao City, too congested, too crowded although you could live here on less than $600 a month probably even less if you owned your own condo ( you wouldn't be able to live like a Filipino and buy fast food everyday though๐Ÿ˜…) Look if I lived here In Davao City I would explore it more and probably love living here but it's like a big Udon Thani,I hate no footpaths but a lot of big shopping malls here in Davao City. Had a massage yesterday 300 pesos , manicure 80 pesos Seems to me judging by the line ups outside McDonald's & burger king that most Filipino prefer to buy fast food than eat at home So many non money boys on Grindr wanting farang ,but they are all discreet and I think Bisexual, nearly 80% asked me to suck them off, seems they have a fetish for this ,they seem to me anyway more agressive type guys and dominate. Even the security guard back in general Santos City who I gave a bj to wanted to slap my face as I was on my knees , they seem to have a fetish to be sucked off I'm not saying there's no bottom girlish guys but seem very rare here of course Manila may have them Now I noticed there are a few type of Filipino, I see mostly in the Fast food ones Filipino especially the women looking like big Islander type ,samoan ,Hawaiian looking etc,I'm not into big large Filipino guys but I'm seeing a lot of those big guys, maybe the Fast food like jollibees which is similar to McDonald's
  2. Yes there seems to be a few gay friendly hotels, Henry's looks interesting, Will keep you posted guys on Cebu gay scene and hot boys
  3. Guys I'm going to Cebu today, never been so I'm not sure what the gay scene will be like . I haven't planned a hotel yet, I know is Nirish said he stayed in st mark hotel, any suggestions? Philippines still has a strict mask policy unfortunately so some bars maybe still closed
  4. I'm in Davao now, ( shaded in red) they say this is the safest city in the Phillipines. As for the gay scene it's mostly from the apps Grindr etc but if you were alone you could meet boys easily,it's just it's more hard work than say Pattaya and Bangkok as it's not brought to you in bars and go go ,you have to search for it here in the Philippines by using apps or going out on the streets and making small talk and to some elderly farang that can be difficult I never had any problems in both Davao & General Santos City,no one following me or calling out to me like they do in Thailand, not one person has asked me for money. I would be more inclined to ask them seeing the Fast food places are packed out ,no wonder there is so many large Filipinos ,places like jollibees, new York pizza etc have big line ups .
  5. Guys just doing a walk this early morning in Davao City , unfortunately I'm with a Pinoy boyfriend ..but ..already a young 19yo brown skinned shirtless construction worker wanted a picture with me ! Hottest smooth skin pecs & abs I have ever saw along with a young boyish face ,I gave him 100 pesos for a picture and I'm sure I could of got his number but I couldn't as I'm travelling with a Pinoy bf who gets jealous . Now let me say this morning I have spotted hot dark brown skin guys looking at me and I mean model types not street rough types I'm sitting in a outside cafe and 3 young guys hot looking walked across the zebra crossing nice designer clothes ,RayBan sunglasses etc ,one looked at me and pulled his zipper up & down ,I instantly got hard ,he was teasing me ,they are teasers here But they are all Top type guys or bisexual,I have yet to see girlish guys here. If I was by myself without my Filipino bf I could pick up guys easy for free I'm sure Unfortunately my bf is a 28yo top and like the most of Filipino boys is into older farang guys so 3 some with Filipino boys is out of the question
  6. Currently I'm in Davao City, got the bus from General Santos City, 3 hours . Davao has a few foreigners ,and yes I'm sure gay farangs here somewhere My Grindr won't stop, I turned it off ,it's going every few seconds Not all are money boys ,some are dominate type guys who want a foreigner to suck them off ,I had that a few times, I had the hotel security guard in General Santos City message me on Grindr,he was a fitness boxer trainer, I didnt know if he wanted money or not but got offended when I asked. I ended up on my knees in the room sucking him off . He was actually married,no money exchanged But my next stop is Cebu tommrrw ,I think there's a lot of foreigners there, and more gay bars , probably more money boys too I imagine. I recommend Makati in Manila ,but please don't listen to people saying it's dangerous etc, this is a country with security guards on every corner that are not needed and people speak English,it's very safe and a lot safer than American cities ,however I'm sure the tourist areas have crime I guess .
  7. Strangely General Santos City is in the red area and I just spent 4 days there, grinder wouldn't stop going, friendly people, shopping malls modern and packed out ,I'm still trying to find where the crime areas are,I walked to anytime fitness at midnight no one bothered me
  8. I have turned my grinder off here in Davao City Philippines, going every 5 seconds and I'm not joking,I'm 62yo and it ranges from money boys to guys wanting dates to mature age professional guys. The city is very safe just done a night time walk and was waved at by a few young guys . Can't see any poverty here in fact most look richer than me ,nice clothes, food places packed out, nice cars . Here you will meet genuine boyfriend type sex rather than wham bam thankyou mam I see a few farangs here walking with boyfriends
  9. I was in general Santos City yesterday which is in the south, the malls were jam packed, places like KFC , McDonald's etc were jam packed with families, I can't even afford those prices ,so obviously all those people must be on good money as well as all the toyota Hilux they have. They certainly didn't look poor to me.
  10. I'm.in Philippines now ,old chubby ,and my Grindr hadn't stopped. Not all money boys some uni students etc looking for dinner dates . You want a bf come here
  11. I'm in Philippines now, Grindr never stopped and no way those prices ,1000 pesos most common ,Manila maybe 1500-2000 But everywhere else 1000 & under One thing is these people in Davao City Philippines all seem to be rich , shopping malls are packed jammed, food places line ups outside McDonald's joiibees in fact they were so busy I couldn't get inside, I'm yet to see any poor people or crime in the last 7 days on entering, I never paid over 1000 pesos at all and even some wanted free as they were professional jobs and spoke good English But they are mostly all tops.,so only suits more if your bottom, 1000 pesos usually they ask Please don't believe rumours of crime etc, feel safer here than Sydney at night
  12. Yes I saw furama advertise on Agoda ,
  13. Thinking of staying here this week. Any new reviews? Are there now room safes or still leave valuables at reception? Any other hotels in that area, I'm not into the tartwawan
  14. I guess though not everyone can afford to tip so much. I met a few expat farang last night in Sunee and we discussed the massage tips and I did tell them how some of you tip 2000 b , they were horrified๐Ÿ˜
  15. I tend to nowadays go the opposite way taking it as it goes , I don't rush to have boys everyday now, if I feel like one I do, otherwise I'm not feeling guilty, I'm more here in Thailand to relax . I used to have several guys a day even when I didn't feel like it , but now even on a 2 week trip , the hunt is more exciting than the finish so if I end up with taking 5 days in 14 days so be it .
  16. Funny how you talk about traveling economy , I just saved about 50,000 baht travelling from Australia to Bangkok in economy class. Was tempted to book business but glad I didn't as I had 2 seats to myself in economy ! Food was basically the same .
  17. I guess as all employees do,we work when the boss is around but once their out of sight we can relax more ๐Ÿ˜‚
  18. I have had some great times the last few days being in Pattaya, enjoyed myself and met wonderful guys ! But as with anything you always have one negative experience with 50 positives. Trouble with me I'm not assertive type, question is do you still tip if it's bad service ? Last night I went to a normal type massage shop for a well needed foot massage,I don't mind who massages my feet as long as they good and caring , a ladyboy came along and that was fine to me. I laid back to relax put my feet on the stool, then he/she started massaging and the usual questions where you from etc which I don't want to be rude so answered but really I wanted to close my eyes Then the question " how much you tip me? I had no idea ,so tried to put a short laugh and say , " oh enough" Then the same question again 15 minutes into it . By this time she was talking loudly to another member of staff having a conversation whilst doing my feet I was starting to get agitated ,I felt like I was going to get angry but I still closed my eyes to relax , I couldn't very well say to her to shut up so unfortunately I just pretended to be asleep After the massage I paid the foot massage fee but only had 100 b notes so reluctantly I gave her a 100b tip. With that she actually snatched the note out , not rudely though, just took it without a acknowledgement, sort of grabbed it out of my hand and made a screeching type sound, like a short scream ,like a eeeeeeccch ! With her face crumbled then walked off. So now I'm thinking I should man up I guess and learn to be assertive and not tip if the service is not there, is that actually morally right though? I mean in the above circumstance I still would of tipped but only like 50b if I had that note which I didn't , unfortunately only had 100 b notes I don't like to take advantage of others, I feel guilty about that , so your opinions on this ?
  19. I can't find the thread now,but a few weeks ago I asked about transport to Pattaya and got quite a few answers regarding taxi services. I chose Mike Taxi , and I used the Line app and always got a response immediately. I told him/her my concerns and how I worry if the taxi doesn't arrive etc and how paranoid I am it's not going to be there etc and they respond immediately " I will make sure the driver meets you " I think I have anxiety disorder so I tend to catasphrize ( if that's the right word) things that possible could happen eg the taxi doesn't meet me etc and I'm stuck at the airport. So I emailed & line apped Mike's a few times before arriving so much that he responded to me " Is that you emailing me as well as on Line ? I said yes ,I just want to make sure it arrives to meet me. He responded " I will make sure ,no need to keep emailing me " He obviously thought I was paranoid ๐Ÿ˜‚ he went quiet for awhile when I said the driver can spot me from my hot pink baseball cap, ๐Ÿคฃ after that he probably confirmef his suspicions I was some kind of nutter ๐Ÿ˜‚ So here I was yesterday my plane arriving in Bangkok and I'm sitting there on the tarmac when a line message beeped from Mike's Taxi " I see your plane just arrived the driver is waiting for you " I got off the plane quickly and walked fast the "several miles" to the arrivals got thru very quick,so glad I didn't buy the Fast track no need for it. Waited like 15 minutes for the luggage to arrive and walked out to see my driver walking towards me, ( I told them I was wearing a hot pink baseball cap,so that helps being spotted๐Ÿ˜ Walking towards the carpark the driver suddenly stopped, " oh I forget they want me to tell them when I pick you up" with that he started texting , I bet they may have asked him " Did you pick up that weirdo yet who sent me 50 emails ! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ approx 1 hour to Pattaya no traffic at that early morning time Im not sure if " Mike" is a farang owner or not but his contract drivers are excellent! 1200 baht all up ,great value but I gave him a tip too,he waited for my late arrival plane and didn't complain so he was a great driver ,can't remember his Thai name though, apparently he is a contract driver for Mike's and a few others, I didn't ask him if Mike was a farang perhaps. Now you have to walk to the carpark with the driver, that didn't worry me as I'm quite fit , he offered to wheel my luggage but I declined . I was surprised when he told me he gets customers who demand to smoke in his car, i don't smoke so I wasn't concerned but I'm shocked people can be so rude I recommend Mike's Taxi service , I don't know what kind of drivers you may get but it seems the management are very efficient ๐Ÿ‘
  20. He sounds sadly to say ..he is not interested. Maybe he is not gay . I wouldn't pursue it further,as Paul says it becomes harassment
  21. There is a saying....if it's too loud ..your too old !๐Ÿ˜‚ Unfortunately I'm old too ๐Ÿ˜
  22. He sounds like a true business man ๐Ÿคฃ
  23. Will be in Pattaya this week !!! You know reading another post about sleeping all day and partying all night just got me thinking . I used to do that say 20 years ago in Pattaya, sleeping all day and then hit the bars at night going to bed at around 4am . Fast forward 20 years now I'm nearly 60yo and I'm thinking this trip and being now a non drinker I won't be sleeping all day , my routine when I arrive will have to change . Questions is are you a early riser on your trip, or sleep all day ? Am I getting a old fart if I make my routine say midnight bed wake 8 or 9am๐Ÿ˜, maybe that's too early ,
  24. Yes Hollywood !! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Used to off a few boys and go up there and dance the night away !
  25. Nowadays I don't think it's for me , 20 years ago I used to love that disco near day night up past friendship , can't recall the name , but ..now I'm getting too old and lost interest in that .
