Don't want to start a where are they now thread ....but last month staying at the brilliant VENUE in Jomtien complex I recall the farang owner / manager ( who is a lovely guy) telling me the former owner of the VENUE had passed away I didn't realise if this was one of both I used to be in love with the owner called RAY if anyone remembers him? I didn't think to ask if that was him he was referring to ? RAY apparently was a former dancer🕺 in the UK and it owned a hotel in Blackpool UK Is he still around? Also Madame Karen I imagine would of passed by now? Very rarely do you see veterans of Pattaya I was very shocked to see a farang (customer ) in the Jomtien complex who looked the very same I saw him in Sunee Plaza some 20 years ago A elderly man always in business shirt and trousers ,skinny build bald head and glasses ,he never changed ! 😲🤓must be in his 80's by now

In the last few weeks I went to look at a Condo 's near Jomtien complex The Riviera, Copacabana,Jomtien Grande I forget the name of the one with the red car out the front ,it looked very nice just past Rompho markets side , lovely exterior The Condos in Jomtien Grande were 26sqm and the owner wanted 1,500,000 baht Wasn't even enough to swing a cat 😺 the double bed took up most of it

I stayed there 5 days last month Couldn't hear any noise and I had the balcony facing over the front

Just wondering any members that live full time (retired) in Thailand ? For those of you who live in Pattaya or Bangkok what do you do during the day ?🕺💃🕺🕺 I was contemplating buying a minimum 1 bedroom in Pattaya but I would get bored there full time at this stage of my life 🏢🏥 I couldn't see myself in a studio I did look last time and I would think I would be like to close to Jomtien complex although crossing that road everyday to the View talay's would be a headache Could you live full time in Pattaya or Bangkok alone at this stage of your life? I guess if you had a boyfriend👦♂️ to live with it may be different and someone to be with , otherwise it would be bars at night Pattaya probably would be easier to make expat friends than Bangkok I couldn't see myself going to bars every night nor picking up boys👬 every night At this stage I'm holding off buying a Condo and will keep working full time I have looked at a few condos ,The Base ,Arcadia Beach, View talay etc but all seem too small

Just looking at the Australian dollar to Viet Dong Anyone know the current rate for short time in Vietnam? I'm thinking around 800,000 dong compare to Thai short time ? Their money seems to be confusing,I will have to get used to it I guess

Well I'm about to book myself & Boyfriend for March 2nd 2025 to Hanoi trip He will stay a week and I will probably go to another country,not Thailand again....I'm all Thaiiiied out !
