When did American business men (and notably it is only old white men) turn into such whimps? I exaggerate of course - they may be business men, but clearly they have trouble pulling their heads out of their politics. Or perhaps there are more divorced business men, fooling around with porn stars, with political aspirations than I thought? 😁

I've been on a few bumpy flights, but I can't imagine how bad it must be for this many injuries... The photos from inside the plane that shows the state of disarray paints quite the picture. It happened to me once before when there was a fire in my building and I couldn't quite make out what was being yelled, but my first instinct wasn't to grab a gun/baseball bat. (Fire alarm failed and they had to go door to door to get people out). Did he actually point the weapon at the deputy? I am a little alarmed by how our first responders seem to be trained to "shoot if you see a weapon". At least that is what my friends and family in law enforcement tell me.

You touched on the key thing: lies. If you are going to complain, do it by sticking to the facts. Dont embellish or exaggerate. Keep the receipt. I usually also mention that I brought my complaint to management's attention before posting it online and they did not resolve. That way, it carries more weight. (I am not a frequent complainer - you have to really mess up.)

A few times I have sent luggage ahead of time to avoid the airport schlepping. I doubt the new rules will impact that (there is no value add to tax) but I will check with the vendor before doing so again.
