  1. Quick update 3 Jan 2025. Went with a friend tonight and they were closed up tight, despite there being the usual advertised programming for Friday, Dunno, they did announce that they would be closed Dec 24 and 31 — both typically busy club nights. And the WhatsApp number is no longer listed. Stay tuned.
  2. Without judgement, am going to endorse this comment. My experience, which is not to exclude all statistical relevance as I have not slept my way (yet) through all Colombian males, would concur in that, with the majority of my sexual encounters, they would prefer condom use for anal sex when asked.
  3. El Alcaldía de Medellín runs regular public and sexual health clinics around the city and in public parks. You can contact them here to find out when the next VIH testing clinic is taking place. They regularly hold clinics at the CC Interplaza at Transversal Inferior and Calle 11 (across the street from Energy Living building). https://www.medellin.gov.co/es/secretaria-de-salud/subsecretaria-de-salud-publica/salud-sexual-y-reproductiva/
  4. The medications that are offered through Rappi are supplied by local pharmacies i.e. it is the same product you would purchase in a pharmacy. I have fulfilled several prescriptions this way. However, be aware that some drugs are not allowed to be delivered through Rappi without a prescription on file, so your particular brand-drug class may not be available. A quick search on the Rappi app turned up nothing. You may required to purchase in person from a licensed pharmacist (and therefore know the correct drug name in Spanish). I do not know if this is the case in Colombia for PReP, however a quick WhatsApp conversation with a men's health clinic in any major city would answer that question. Another option is to book an appointment with a local doctor who can facilitate delivery from the pharmacy. There are several medical service providers offering house calls in Medellín that will do this for you. The extra $20USD to organize this is massive value-add IMHO. Regarding drug quality, almost all Colombians will swear that the quality of foreign manufactured prescription medications is superior to locally available products, but I have zero data to back that claim up. Caveat emptor applies here, I am afraid.
  5. The two most popular in the city are Complices and Sexto Sentido both of which have regular events. Complices is a little more central, just south of Chapinero barrio.
  6. Someone with bad intentions probably doesn't want to be seen in public and caught on camera. There are cameras throughout Cali. You can Google it -- many of the CCTV providers have public websites where you can see the activities on major streets. Colombia as a country recognizes the value that tourism has brought to the country. In 2024, they became the third most visited country South America (after Argentina and Brasil) and the major cities have stepped up measures to keep tourists safe. Don't over react. As always, "no dar papaya". Here is an excellent summary of life and safety written by a local (foreigner) https://www.calisalsaexperience.com/inspiration/is-cali-colombia-safe-for-tourists/ For escorts/Grindr you are going to need to rely on Google translate heavily to communicate. That is fine. Be certain you know how the voice translate function works -- it will be much easier for both of you. Just remember that Google isn't perfect. There is an entire post on this site about deciphering Grindr Spanish that you might consult. Recently I saw a translation of 'domicilio' as "household" in English, which yes, is one use. But its more common usage is "home delivery" or more importantly, the escort comes to your place. Ergo, you may have to fill in some of the blanks when using Google translate.
  7. As a Canadian, I followed the kidnapping and subsequent release of the two engineers in Nov 2023 (first article link). Some thoughts. - Cali remains an active region for organized crime; nearby Buenaventura port is still the largest exit point for concealed drugs in Colombia - Most of the kidnappings that I have read about were foreigners working in Colombia-Cali on a longer-term engagement; they were known to be living in the region at the time of the event i.e. not transients -- these were focused, planned events - Cali has been a higher crime city since the 1990's; there is a general attitude of defiance to rules and laws amongst caleños -- it is a point of pride - The advice to always meet in public first and make your whereabouts known to others when meeting is primary and should always be a consideration I am booked to return to Cali again in the new year. Personally I see this as a reminder to to always be cautious where and when meeting new people.
  8. Fercho's is now fully installed at the Hotel Roma in Centro. They are hosting their first Christmas event on December 19th at the hotel. Entry is 30.000COP and they are advertising over 30 "modelos" onsite for the event. As always, any rooms and activities are at an additional cost, although they will be conducting their classic raffle (rifa) where you can win the services of one or more boys for an entry ticket that costs 25.000COP. Multiple draws throughout the day. Should also note that they have expanded their current roster of boys, and the catalogue images are much more explicit. You can request a current listing via WhatsApp at +57 312 2717925.
  9. Won't be there but I strongly recommend taking part in Noche de las velitas (Night of the little candles), taking place each Dec 7th. You will see the locals busy all day cleaning (washing) the streets across different neighbourhoods in preparation the main event. In the evening candle are places along streets and in windows to light the path for the Virgin Mary ahead of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on Dec 8th (national holiday). In Medellín, the main rio de Medellín will be lit up as this begins the start of the annual allumbrados holiday light display. This evening marks the (unofficial) start of the Christmas holiday season in Colombia. Tons of people will be out walking and it is traditional to invite friends and family over for a late dinner. https://sinitinerario.com/dia-de-velitas-en-colombia/
  10. Congrats. You just met your first drug dealer in Colombia. Selling drugs via the Hookup apps is common in Colombia. @Riobard is absolutely correct. The leaf is marijuana and the parrot ("perico") is a slang term for coke. The parrot or lomo emoji is commonly used in Colombia instead of the snowflake. You willalso see people it the large nightclubs with a parrot on one shoulder --I will give you three guesses as to what they are selling.
  11. Correct. It is the capital city of Tolima departmento. Best known for its conservatory of music, it is often referred to as the music capital of Colombia. It is a small city, but not without it's charms. Tolima is actually the largest coffee production region in the country, so much of the departmento is rolling hills and coffee farming. Central Tolima where Ibagué is located is best known for hiking/nature/glamping. The city maintains much of the original buildings and architectural influences from the Spanish colonial era, meaning lots of small parks and squares around the city. There is a small, private university in the city as well so plenty of students around centro. Have not been back for a few years so don´t know about current scene. You should know that Ibagué is home to national fútbol hero James Rodríguez and the large fútbol stadium just south of centro is epicentre of the city. Enjoy.
  12. In Colombia @12is12 I have never heard the verb "gozar" used for ejaculation/cum as it is in Portuguese. Other regional speakers feel free to chime in. The message above would be understood as "I do not need you to ENJOY yourself" which would be a flashing siren alert to the recipient who is probably thinking "how terrible is this experience going to be for me?". May I suggest, if you are referring to cumming, to use "dar leche" (most common) or "eyacular"? Spanish tends to require explicitness to avoid ambiguity. Except when it doesn't in colloquial phrases like "Estámos ya?" (literally "do we have an understanding").
  13. You might want to check here Missing from that list is are a couple of video bars within the city of Cartegena (Roma and Geminis) that are more cruising clubs. There are a few good exchanges on the local Cartagena scene in the main Colombia forum if you do a quick search. Good luck.
  14. @Moderator Can we flag this busines listing at NOW CLOSED ? Cheers.
  15. 2. You would be remiss to not spend time in Medellín given the proximity to the capital. but as noted you will find plenty of bottoms in both places. Medellín has become a major center for video webcamming with multiple studios around the city. and with very high youth unemployment in the country, many young men relocate just to do this type of work. For the vast majority of them it is a job, not a lifestyle. 3. The aforementioned "Dan" post, which I have not commented on until now, was the only post from that particular member. These wild jacuzzi parties with multiple webcam boys sound fantastic, except there is zero proof that these ever happened. Do these types of events occur in Medellín? Absolutely. But you will need to have more than a passing acquaintance with the city and its people before you will uncover those types of opportunities. There are several boy wranglers in the city that could make this happen, but that requires connections that were simply missing in the original post. Good luck with your planning -- hope you find exactly what you are hoping for in Colombia.
