@hornyfrog thank you. I did not look at it from that perspective at all. I mean I am not going to wreck a place by throwing a wild party. Also because of this forum I have learned by others experience. Who to bring back to your hotel or Airbnb. I want this experience to continue in Brazil. As well in other countries. Also I can understand why some countries don't want American expats in there country. Some Americans can be assholes. Also anything that dilutes Brazilian culture would be horrible. Thats the special sauce.

Well @Latbear4blk i do believe like Genuwine said in a song " It ain't none of your friends business what we do tonight." But I feel when you do say I will have friends over. It will set the expectation someone might sleep there because they are to drunk to drive or take a uber home. Which any reasonable person would expect. That's why I am friendly towards the door man. Ask them questions and find out if they have any cheap interest. Because if its a case of beer on my tab. During my stay i can afford that especially if it gives me a heads up or can protect me from Airbnb owners that want to nickel and dime me on anything. In the suite i am renting." Something tells me that will not go over in a affectionate way. LMAO

I have been to Rio twice. One time I stayed at the hotel and another time at an Airbnb. The hotel was a complete hassel. Even though I booked a two person room. They kept trying to charge me for guest I would bring back during the day. In fact it was kind of hostile towards me. But I learned my lesson. The second time I got an Airbnb. I with the Airbnb host I explained to them like @Latbear4blk did I have friends that I want to hang out with and cook dinners for. They had no issue with me bringing anyone over. The doormen never gave me any problems. But I introduced myself to them struck up conversations with them even tipped them when they helped me with deliveries during my month stay. They never gave me any push back and funny enough. It also helped that my Airbnb host was gay. But based off of some forum members . You do have to vet the host. Cause some have said you can have people over. Only to reverse what they said. But I would also think that if you have don't have any issues as far as a renter on Airbnb and no negative reviews by hosters. Then its should be less of a problem. But definitely make it know that you will have " old firends" over.

Well some of the form members have experienced issues like that. I got lucky because the Tour guide has friends in Rio that he knew specifically would allow guest and overnight guest. I would say that maybe finding one of the forum members that could tell you of places they stayed at that didn't give them problems. I mean i know it happens all over the world. This is also why I believe we should show were we stayed. When there are good Airbnb host. That accommodating of our fun times. But it sucks that you have experienced this so many times. I had that happen to me taking guys back to the hotel.

So @floridarob I am going to ask you this question. Cause I am hearing some disturbing news about Americans having issues with there passports. Several people have posted videos about arriving to the destination only to be told that their passport is not valid or it was marked as "lost" or "stolen". Do you know of this and if so any tips? I know this is not the point of this particular thread but I thought it might be a good question to as since you are friendly with people at the U.S. consulate there in Mexico. I was going to say the same thing. Several guys from brazil want to come and visit. I told them this is not the time to do so. Unless you want to be looking over your shoulder wondering if ICE is coming after you. I live in California and we have had ICE arrest people in SF bay area. Hello this was a person that Manu Perclat had helped me find when I was looking for an Airbnb to stay at. Cause I had no issue bringing back guys to my hotel. But it became a problem just to have a quick romp and pop back out. With the older staff that was there. Mind you I did pay for two people for the entire trip. So I would not have to deal with questions. However that was not a great experience. So Manu gave me many options of Airbnb's of friends he knew. Helped me when the airlines had lost my luggage. His place was small but had a full fridge a door man and a great location. Two blocks from the beach and in an area that was safe to walk day or night. I honestly hate that I can't stay here again. But the one thing you should do is double check the wifi. So message the host to make sure its good and strong. I think whether you are a novice or veteran of brazil I think a door man is a smart safety measure. If you are not a skinny guy or have mobility issues. These next two things are a must. One make sure you have a bathroom with a " American" sized shower. I had to squeeze my fat ass into the one at the Airbnb which I have linked in this post. This was the only deal breaker for me. Because one it was difficult to have a good hot shower. And some fun with the guys I brought back to shower with. By the way the guys did a great job of making sure my balls were throughly cleaned. Also if you have any mobility issues make sure the Airbnb has an elevator. My two cents.

That being said, it’s about awareness in one’s surroundings. You go somewhere, look for where exits and entrances are. Pay attention to who is around you. Bring what you need. I am not going to walk around Lapa with my gold chain on or any other jewelry. But I might wear an old Apple Watch so if it gets stolen, I won’t care. Plus, I have met some really fun sauna boys that I have hung out with outside of the sauna in places within Rio that only locals know. I have gone to clubs. They will smile and try to engage you in conversation. Most times, the guys are bold, and they will grab your hand and place it on their cock. Which if you are looking at a sexy stud, can catch you off guard. In my case, it made me forget what I was talking about to the person I went with. LMAO. Get settled and get a drink. While you are waiting, guys will try to get your attention. During this time, I look and see how many guys, if any, I want to go with and for what. During this time, since many of the gartos will try to get you to pick them. They will lift up their towels, show off what they offer. If you do not desire to spend time with them. BE POLITE this cannot be stressed enough. Because they are people that offer themselves as a service. But it garners respect from them, which can pay off in the end. However, if the guy has not approached you that you like, then go up to them. Discuss the price and what you want during your time with them. Some have suggested that you write on the phone screen shot it and save it so if there is any disagreement, it does not happen. You can point to it and prove what was agreed to. Which have saved us guys from paying for bad service. But in most cases, the guys working in the sauna want to give you the service you want. So you will come back and pick them. Or off them, aka take them out that night or during the day in some cases. Also, phones can be used to translate in the saunas. But not to take pictures of everyone in the sauna in general seating areas. But the best thing for me to tell you is to relax and take your time. Get there early enough to pick the best guys. Because some come early to get one or two programs, and they may bounce. Also read the guys that I referenced. They have a great deal of knowledge; they aren’t the only ones. This is why I use Airbnb’s from my second visit moving forward depending on where I am visiting. Cause every time I had a bootycall from grindr or from random walking around and striking up random conversations. The hotel that I was staying at my 1st trip. Made it virtually impossible. To bring anyone up. I even had booked the room as two guest. So that I wouldn’t have to register hookups. But they registered every last one of them. Gave me the stink eye every time. So I went with an Airbnb. Which allowed me to bring guys from pointe, 212, and other random guys I met back with no problem. The lobby guards never said a word didn’t have a problem either. I also tipped the guys every once in a while. They were cool looking out for me. But if you don’t feel safe doing that then hotel it is. I’m doing another Airbnb next year in the month of may for my Brazil trip.
