How I agree with you about the old Hero. It was the best gay massage venue by a very wide margin. Nothing has equaled it.

I’ll ask the question a different way to hopefully obtain a sensible response. How do they differ from say the go go bars like Dream Boy, Good Boy etc.

The new kid on the block is the Voco Surawong opened only last month. Given its perfect location we will hear reports in the months and years to come. Early TripAdvisor and Google reviews are mixed with some problems reported with service and inexperienced staff.

I’m thinking of visiting Bangkok in April but I want to avoid the Songkran Festival. Google tells me the festival dates are 13 to 15 April. A question. Is it definitely over by then? On 16 April is the water throwing and other activities over?

Back in the early 2000’s I regularly travelled to Bangkok and dined frequently at arguably the most expensive restaurant in the city located in the best hotel. There was a waiter there who was always extremely friendly and subtly flirtatious. I have followed his career and life trajectory on Facebook and elsewhere. He is married now with a family. Back in the early 2000’s he worked me out and knew exactly where the next tip was coming from. You’ve got to love the Thais and wouldn’t want them any other way.
