  1. Great news! I did have an issue (nothing compared to yours) with an owner and Airbnb responded positively and quickly, deciding on my favor. They gave me a full refund.
  2. I am not into muscle guys, but I will be there for sure!
  3. Ooops! Like with Lima, I misjudged you. My apologies!
  4. Muchas gracIas! You are the best!
  5. I know they do not do it and I know you cannot compare the resources and options a multinational has to the local small business reality. And yet, I think you are thinking from your wallet and with no idea on how to run a (small) business when inflation in a month is higher than the annual inflation in most countries, developed or not. But anyway, let's agree on disagreeing here.
  6. Thank you for re-sharing it! I will be in SP a couple of times this year (I hope), and had no idea about Lagoa until now. To the more experienced posters, or to the most recent visitors, is that info about Lagoa still relevant?
  7. I read you the first time. I am making a prediction considering the current situation. There is no point arguing, time will tell whether or not I am wrong.
  8. I just realized I made a mistake in the headline, but I cannot edit it. @TotallyOz, would you be so kind to edit the headline and switch it to Nov 24/Jan 25, please? My mistake may trigger confusions. I am back in Buenos Aires, after a month in the Corrientes region, ready to add a few more tips to this thread. As I said before, you can skip it if you are looking for paid sex information. As expected, prices inside the country are considerably lower than in Buenos Aires. Grindr works very good ion Argentinean NE, if you are patient with faceless profiles, as homosexuals are still very discreet. I hooked up a couple of times, and in my interactions I was never asked for money. My profile has updated pictures of my face and my body, although I am not honest with my age (I say I am 56 😇). Yet, a lot of young guys contacted me always for not transactional sex. If you happen to arrive to Buenos Aires via Aeroparque Jorge Newbery, avoid the line to take a taxi cab, as you may stay there longer than you did in your flight. Just go straight to the right end of the taxi cabs deck and you will arrive to the Uber pick up spot. Currently, Uber is fully legalized and the best option. In my previous visit, in June/July 2023, I spent about 40' in the taxis line. Yesterday, it took 3 minutes to be picked up by my Uber driver. I have been walking a lot this weekend in Recoleta, Barrio Norte, and San Telmo. The city is empty, as the locals who can afford it are vacationing somewhere else. I loved the city with less people. However, the touristic spots are still crowded. I was wrong when I thought foreigners would stop coming over. I just returned from the street fair in San Telmo, and it was packed. Most of the visitors seem to be from Brazil ad the US, but I also recognize a lot of Europeans and accents from several LatAm countries. My reports about prices in the OP are still current, as well as my tip on using your CC. The country is not the ridiculously cheap opportunity that was until Dec 2023, but if you research and compare, you will still find excellent opportunities in restaurants, cafes, and bakeries.
  9. I may be wrong, but good luck expecting free cabins on Monday, as long as 117 remains closed that day.
  10. One more thing, to the friends who give advice to Brazilians on how to run their business. I may be wrong, but I bet you have no idea on how to run a business when inflation is running crazy. The causes of inflation are in the policy makers decisions, not in the business owners' behavior, they just have to adapt to survive.
  11. Respectfully, the non Brazilian friends complaining about this increase are thinking with their wallets (and being greedy). Of course, we can complain about the saunas' business model and the lack of investment (even if we blind ourselves to the improvements, like the new rooms in 202), but we cannot expect local prices (from the saunas entry tickets to the boys' fees) to remain unchanged when all other prices are going up in an inflationary context. If you are actually concerned about the GP's welfare, pay them more. It is just a few dollars for you that would make a huge difference for them.
  12. Do not forget, Gp's pricing system is wiser than we, foreigners, know. They have differentiated rates for the locals, considerably lower than for us.
  13. I think you may be overestimating Trump's historic significance. But I agree 100% with your call for more human empathy. Anti-trumpism is mirroring Trumpism's intolerance and hateful mindset. Focusing on loving and supporting, fostering a culture of cooperativism instead of selfish individualism is a much more effective approach to fight current craziness and anomia, in my opinion. And thank you for your kind words. I tend to forget that I have been a progressive activist for more than 40 years, in two different cultures. I appreciate you.
  14. I do not think so. You cannot expect the saunas to keep their prices in an inflationary context.
  15. It is so annoying! In my place, they would have beds and places to fuck discreetly, but they had to use the bathroom.
