"As safe as Copacabana" is a low bar I think. 20 years ago I was almost mugged at noon walking behind the Palace Hotel a block off the beach by some guys who seemed to regularly work there. I'm not opposed to further in if it's safer but with just English I have to stay simple. Thanks.

Got my tix for my first visit to Rio in 20 years, so not quite a virgin. I have the nights list for Pointe 202 and for 117. I will probably stay at the JW Marriott at the junction of Copacabana and Ipanema. Any trouble taking guys up? Are taxis or Ubers easy to get to 117? Return? Safety suggestions for cash/wallets/phones in the saunas? Any safe bars or cafes? Rentmen escorts? I loved Rogers when it was there but am not setting my expectations that high.

I have a chance to get almost free tix to Rio around Carnival and I'm wondering how safe it is, hotel availability, and if there is any interruption in the sauna scene. I go to Mardi Gras in NOLA usually and have never thought of getting to Carnival. I haven't been to Rio since Rogers Thermas days.

I think the cash rates may be gone but American has economy to Rio from many cities for 15K miles each way many days in Jan and Feb. Even some around Carnival.

The biggest disappointment for me in the hearings was how unimpressive most Democrats are now and how many of the new Republicans are young, good-looking and articulate. I was really surprised at Congressman Mike Johnson of LA, Senator Sasse, Senator Joanie Earnst, and Sen Josh Hawley of MO.. (Johnson, Sasse and Hawley are young hot and articulate). A few other GOP Congressmen looked like prime RentMen material. I was glad when Paul Ryan with his charisma left, but there's a bumper crop of good-looking GOPers. Congresswoman McBath of GA was the only Democrat that impressed me for charisma.

There's a Holiday Inn Express & Suites on the main street on the north side of Chaperino and close to the masseur saunas. It's extremely nice (and impresses friends) and I had no trouble the 1 time I took a guest in (I had reserved and paid for 2, btw). It's on 67th. (There's another further north on 92nd in the nice financial/entertainment district.) There's an Embassy Suites by Hilton very close also that I may try next time. "The Plan" is still, implausible as it seems, for Kamala to be nominated as the grand "compromise" "youthful" candidate. The DNC, Wall Street and Silicon Valley really want her. Her two roll-outs have been disasters but the DNC is very hard headed (and stupid). We'll see how Warren shakes out as a progressive. I'm hopeful. But I've been saying for a while if Bernie sinks and Warren doesn't seem "the one" he should withdraw and endorse Tulsi. Many people think she's the only one who can beat Trump in a close race. A Bernie endorsement would propel he. But let's see how Warren develops for now.

The Biden Pay-to-Play stinks to high heaven. It had to be dealt with at some point. Making Biden the "victim" of Trump's impeachable offense was the answer. Now, not only is the story about the revelation crime instead of the corruption, but either you rally behind Biden or you're not a good Democrat. Genius move.

Really bad to hear that Club Tobi's masseurs are not as georgous as they used to be. It was a reason to go to Columbia ! I hear Adrian no longer works there and Christain left a couple years ago. Those two muscle guys were perfection. While Medellin is much cheaper and better looking guys, it may be better now to get a close hotel and concentrate on Theatron and St Moritz in Bogota.

I'm not sure Chinese Joe is the one who's up to that task. Am I the only one who sees Biden as having an enormous liability in a general election with his Chinese influence? Will it not come up in primaries at all? China is very much for free trade in every other country but not in China. It does the minimum necessary to pretend. Even though in a totally free-trade environment it would win hands down. But in a total surveillance police state like China free anything is impossible.

I worry less about Russia than China. I wish it would implode but afraid the US will go before China.

Paragonya is fine but sometimes is empty. Hunqz is the normal route and many if not all the Czechs in Zurich are handled by the same agent who answers their enquiries. The best are the Czechs and they rotate in and out of Zurich. (Sexy Filip) is the best, Dominik appears sometimes, and Kamel is always there. Not sure their current Hunqz handles but all use the agent. Many guys are now getting on Rentman also, but at higher than the normal Zurich price of 150 $/F. I frequent Paragonya and its very good often. Just hit or miss. There are forum members in Zurich btw.

Only caution on Paragonya is that the entrance is $37 and many times it's almost empty. Time wisely and be prepared to leave if they tell you there's only 1 or 2 customers inside. There's a number of fine Czech guys who rotate through Paragonya and also do outcalls working through an agent.

Romeo/Hunqz, although some are also advertising, at higher prices, on RentMan now. They only use WhatsApp for communication all over Europe. Get used to using it. Zurich also has the Patagonya Sauna with boys. Prague also has the Up/Down bars but not very good at all. Vienna has much less going on and the prices are higher. Half the guys you'll meet in Zurich or Prague have worked for Bel AMi or William Higgins or another site. Check the Such Cute Boys in Prague Thread---it's extensive.

I'm keeping optimistic on a wildcard combo of Bernie, Tulsi, Yang, even Bullock in some combination. Warren a little bit too. But I don't see the groundswell like Bernie had in 2016. Biden and somebody special is even a possibility evidently, though I can't see him as a winner. If the "Dem" wins it has to be someone more independent with a huge tidal wave of support of support for real change. Surprises happen, just like Obama in 2008 and Bernie in 2016.

One problem is that many of us who went through the 70's and 80's still think that anti-missle systems work. At one time that may have been true but with the thousands of warheads that system became unreliable and now we have new missles that are immune to anti-missle systems.
