Le Boy (bar, club and sauna) closed a few months back. No one has said it's reopened?

what type of events do they have on late at the sauna? as a tourist, id be looking for something to do late evening time whilst in Rio... with no clubs open what is there to do?

any chance of holing up with a cop? what are the chances of them working in the saunas for extra cash, or could someone put me in touch with one?

jesus this holiday cant come quick enough.... hurry up February (to keep me going I have trips to Prague, London and Gran Canaria lined up..._

OK I'll work a visit to MM early into my next trip. If I like it I can go a few more times. I assume if I ask guys back to my hotel from MM they will be as likely to take up the offer as they would at 117 and 202?

Erm you're not a psychopath are you? Just chill and relax, the guys are friendly, they'll be respectful to you and you'll return it. You wouldn't go crazy in a pub or club so I doubt you'll go crazy in the sauna.

I've never been to MM. Usually I'm based in Copa and I think it's a little tricky to get to MM? 117 is a short trip on metro or 20 minute taxi drive. 202 I can walk there. MM seems too far away for me jeje - is it worth the effort or just stick with 117?

Good to hear that. With so many guys trying to get the patrons' attention at the sauna, how does one select? Any signs to watch out f You will have no problem picking your guy. Go in the place, undress in locker room, walk around, check out the sauna, get a drink at the bar, relax a little, sit by a guy you like and make eye contact. Guys will come up and say hello to you, it will be pretty obvious and you can't miss it. Some may be shy, some more forceful, just go with what you are comfortable with. On your second visit you will be an old hag at this and giving other people advice! (The top three threads on Rio are good so read them, even if they are a few years old).

What will likely happen to 202 now? I visited twice this year and found it a little disappointing compared with 117. Under new management will things get better, more men and boys visit? I hope business does pick up at 202 as I prefer its location.

Have a great trip in March....a while away and some things may definitely change I've stayed at Ibis Copacabana Posto 2 twice, first time they allowed me to have guests, second time they didn't. I've booked Ibis Copacabana Posto 5 for February 2017, the rates seem ridiculously low compared with other nearby hotels and apartments.

Hello Bcn, I visited here a few months ago. My hotel by chance was in the heart of the gay bars. I did visit Thermas but used it as a regular sauna because it was so close to my hotel. I was warned it was only escorts inside and which wasn't necessarily what I was after. The boys generally weren't my type. A few fit guys did hit on me and we had some fun together and they didn't expect payment. The gay bars were nice and the people friendly. Lots of locals and visitors. I made friends most places. Visited Open Mind sex club which I'd recommend. Rio. I loved the place hence why I am going back... can't wait. I did pick up a few fit beautiful guys, but couldn't find anyone like Junior. I'd love to spend time with a bodybuilder like him... think it's the posers they were. I'm next in Rio in February 2017 so if anybody has a trip planned then please hit me up.

Hello guys I'm looking to visit Rio in March 2017. Last two visits I was able to meet up with guys off of here for a beer, is anyone planning a trip next March? Also, usually I stay in hotels but will try and get an apartment in Ipanema this time, can anyone suggest a decent reasonably priced apartment? Can you send me the link? Also, do the apartments provide clean towels and linen etc., to cater for a week or two? Please message me direct if you prefer not to post openly.
