Yeah, I've heard of several "pig butchering" (basically confidence game) things where the person scamming is in a horrible situation like this.

As Bill Maher said (back when he was funny), you don't pay them to come, you pay them to leave! I'm happy to pay to fuck who and when I want, but sometimes also find a guy to fuck for free (helps that I mostly "shop" on Grindr). I'd say it's generally a good idea to be specific about which is which. Some of the worst encounters are vague about that and then want cash after a mediocre session.
