Nice to see you posting here.

"What makes this one special" Because it is a rentboy.com night! http://partywithbrandon.blogspot.com/2009/...ys-in-west.html And when I was there last Thursday one of the absolute sexiest dancers in town- MIKEY- was dancing! -
I might stay one night at that property(4pts Port Authority-yes I know they call it Times Square)on my arrival night. I don't think I could do ten nights in a Four Points I don't think I could do 10 nights in ANY hotel I was paying for(all of those lovely bonus points gone missing)I do like to bounce around when not on an award stay. I will also be staying in HOBOKEN! at the great looking new W. I have one more night to figure out.It might be back to the Four Points Port Authority!

First is called Brats and Punks-although I am more than a little freaked out by the guy reffering to himself as "Daddy" http://bratsnpunks.blogspot.com/?zx=f3a842c1c352f14b The other one is called Sizing up-Wonder why I like this site ? http://www.sizingupblog.com/ Hope you enjoy

Have an option to stay for five nights at the Ritz Carlton Battery Park. Other choice is the Marriott Marquis Times Square. I have never spent much time around the seaport-other than going to the top of the now gone WTC . Any opinions?TIA

End of an Era-Numbers in WeHo going straight
TownsendPLocke replied to TownsendPLocke's topic in The Beer Bar
walking back to my car from a FANTASTIC night at Micky's Cocktails With The Stars last night I peeked into Numbers. Four staff members on the Patio and two customers! at 9:30I giggled! -
Deciding to stop being vague about it Moz has announced Numbers will no longer be a gay venue. Considering that 70% off his business is on the last fully gay night there(Saturday)this is a totally FAIL proposition. Hope he can pay his bills in the pussy he hopes he will get out of this. I give it 6 months max

Spent this weekend in San Diego for Pride.I was very impressed! The rather large parade was fun and the festival was in gorgeous Balboa Park. Not as regimented as SF or WeHo-and the guys were much cuter/more varied than at either of those events. London pride was a lot of fun-but man it was crowded! Next time I go to SD I think I will take the train-the 5/405 were parking lots in both directions.

I stayed at the Royal Rio and just loved it-great pool and I loved the neighborhood. Close to the metro(a block away)close to the beach and many good restaurants around. Also the breakfast buffet was wonderful. Not the cheapest-but very fair pricewise. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g3...de_Janeiro.html

NOW YOU HAVE DONE IT TOMCAL!!!!!! Just booked a trip back to Rio for mid September. Wanting to go to Porto Alegre also! We will be in touch.

I will have to get rush tix for this-it should be very interesting! http://www.outfest.org/tixSYS/2009/xslguid...ventNumber=2764 I met Pete a couple of years ago at a party after the 2008 Hookie awards.Sexy, smart and sweet. I was hoping to hire him last week when I was in London but he was busy touring with the film. Outfest always has plenty of films with sexy guys in it Hop

I am thinking Lucky meant no harm by this-just his"dry"(at times odd)sense of humor. BTW-I really think the whole TSA problem is because of the folks drawn to this kind of work(and I am thinking more of the top tier folks rather than the line workers)But I am just amazed at some of the shenanigans that happen when you give a person with no real power a badge and the authority to yell at defensless citizens.
-
Out of the three films mentioned above only The Proposal look interesting to me-hope you asked for your money back for Year One.What were you thinking?
-
How very weird! This morning the first thing I did was look at the listings on a discount ticket site I subscribe to and bought two tix for this show for next Sunday. Lucky did you send one of your cute lil'pooches over to plant a spy camera in my bedroom?

Nasty changes might be ahead for Numbers
TownsendPLocke replied to TownsendPLocke's topic in The Beer Bar
I got a report last night of one of the regulars(very presentable working fella-he was one of the boys at our MER dinner last month)being asked to leave by the owner before he even sat down. I will have to investigate this further but it does not sound good. -

TownsendPLocke replied to TownsendPLocke's topic in The Beer Bar
I would not label everything they served as crap. There were a few dishes(all appetizers)that I thought were fine on the menu-and even fairly priced. And I know some of the other regulars had some dishes that were OK to their tastes. However the few times I wandered away from my regular order I would be dissapointed.I remember being served a burger that was "off"and having to argue with the stupid cunt they have posing as a manageress.Having been around food and restaurants most of my adult life I just used that as further amunition(as if any was needed)that I would not deal with her again. She serves one purpose only IMO-to give Moz the owner something to look at. I know some like the Salmon salad, others like the Pasta with Shrimp or Chicken. All of these are IMO overpriced for what they are. I would like to know the name of the bar the letter above references-happy to move my dollars over there -
Nasty changes might be ahead for Numbers

Well the shoe has dropped. As I predicted it does not look good This is from the folks looking to rescue Numbers "Numbers has been known as a hustler bar for 33 years, but the truth is bars down the street have more hustlers in a night than we do in a month. Your point about boys walking around in underwear is well taken, and we are NOT going to be having boys anymore on a regular basis. We are aiming to become more mainstream, and welcome anyone for a nice place to spend part or all of their evening. There will be only one night a week that will have boys and girls that will be dressed more risque, and that will be Saturday nights (used to be every Wednesday). It's called "Industry," and it's about porn stars. On that night the host will be fully clothed until around 10pm, and also please keep in mind they are part of the hosting and venue. They will be classed up, so it is not as skimpy as it use to be. Please keep this in mind, if you went to a cabaret show, you wouldn't take off your clothes just to fit in. You would still probably get dressed up to go out to that venue. Our vision is to make it a special place where WeHo can be proud of once again. It was known as an iconic place where Hollywood socialites use to go, and have a great dinner and never be bothered. Our aim is to make it once again that, which it was world famous for. It wasn't all about hustlers even back then, it was known for fine food, great bar & restaurant, and a elegant safe haven for anyone and everyone" No one asked them to send out boys in briefs. The Owner did that as a hook to promote his business and bring in customers. That did not work as well as he had hoped because a) the booking agency he used(Willem Belli)was lazy in his scheduling, b)the boys were payed little to nothing, c)the owners and Judy the Manager used very poor interpersonal skiils with the boys. The one night a week that really rocked were the the nights that someone else(Jason Seachrest or Brandon Baker)brought in some outside talent. So best of luck to them. Pricey drinks, expensive mediocre food,no real restaurant manager, hit or miss service, owned by straights, and now no eye candy? Please tell me why should I patronize this place? PS-regarding those"Hollywood socialites"who used to patronize the place-they were never there for the food! -
California high court upholds same-sex marriage ban
TownsendPLocke replied to TotallyOz's topic in The Beer Bar
Very well put Steven. I disagree with You and Ms.Guy on winning at the voting booth rather than in the courts however.I think it will have to go back to the courts one way or the other. Unfortunately now, because discrimination has been added to the state constitution,it will be an uphill battle to get this odious, and IMO UNCONSTITUTIONAL, admendment removed. I see this going on to the US supreme court in due time. I also find it strange that none of the conservatives who normally rail against"advocate judges legislating from the bench"are not upset abot this.I guess when their ruling promote prejudice that is "different"and they are ok with it. -
Ooooo I would LOVE to see that
