  1. IL play is always interesting, for more than one reason. Best regards, RA1
  2. I don't believe "peace" between Arabs and Jews is possible. I am not against BO or any others "trying" so long as it does not cost us politically or economically. I think the second statement very unlikely also. Best regards, RA1
  3. Because such as BO make silly pronouncements such as Israel withdrawing to a border that compromises their defense, freedom and existence as a nation? Best regards, RA1
  4. As with EXPAT, you may have been to more of the qualifying "countries" than you at first thought. Check it out at travelerscenturyclub.org. Even if you only add a few, it might be worth looking at their list. I agree about not wishing to stay any longer than necessary in many places. I have been cold in Scotland, plenty warm in Iceland and every thing in between elsewhere. I don't even wish to think about noise, lights, bugs and the like. Ugh. They warned me about cobras in Brunei. Traveling is fun but a good attitude about it makes it that much easier. Best regards, RA1
  5. EXPAT- 11 more and you qualify for the Traveler's Century Club. You probably do already as they include places that are not countries but which they deem sufficiently "different" to qualify. I have only been to 43 countries. I have no idea how many nights in hotels I have spent but for about 15 years earlier in my career I was out of town at least 2 or more nights per week so that would be in excess of 1500 nights out. I still travel but don't spend more than a few nights out of town per year any more. And, I made friends in many of the places that I spent a good deal of time and stayed in their houses or flats. I don't mind traveling a lot but I do mind eating out so much. Therefore, when I am out of town for certainly more than one night but sometimes only one night, I stay in such as Residence Inns where I can cook for myself. I find it relaxing. Best regards, RA1

    Waking Up Stiff

I am surprised that no one has offered, lucky to be waking up stiff. So, I will. Best regards, RA1
  7. I draw hearts on windows if the humidity is just right. Best regards, RA1

So, I suppose no one is giving credence to the idea that bin Laden has been dead for some time? He had an incurable disease and was not doing well. Also, where was the medical equipment for treating failed kidneys in the compound? I am not suggesting any thing other than there are numerous questions sitll unanswered. Keeping the body and dealing with some of them seems appropriate to me. However, that did not happen, so we are left with many mysteries to solve, or so it seems. Perhaps someone or something will beam me up and I can answer ALL of these questions and more. Best regards, RA1
  11. Thanks for the replies, Lucky and CharliePS. I certainly did not intend for my question to sound disparaging. I only wanted information from someone who lived there. I live in Memphis, TN and we have heat + humidity, so, I am not one to point fingers at anyone else. Before air-conditioning, we were hopeless during certain times of the year. No sleep, sitting in the window until 3 AM, sheets soaked with sweat, etc. Not fun and not all that fondly remembered, either. Not the good old days, at all. From visiting my sister who lives in FL I understand completely about the snow birds. Visiting her is completely different depending upon what time of year. I know what folks in NYC do in the winter because I know a lot of people who live there now. Best regards, RA1
  12. I think I know that you live in PSP. What do you do in the summer time? Go to the nearby mountains a lot? Stay indoors most of the day? What? Just curious. Best regards, RA1

I wish it was, to quote Churchill, the beginning of the end, but, alas, I fear it is not. The Crusades have never been over and are not now. I have to revert to a religious answer for things that I do not understand with the other possibility being human genes which, to many, is the same answer. Best regards, RA1
  14. What line? I shop at a grocery store at least 3 times a week. I like to eat fresh as often as possible which means farmer's markets in warm weather. But I don't remember when there was more than one person in front of me and that person was not checking out 50,000 items. However, I get your point. We are all voyeurs in one way or another, aren't we? Best regards, RA1
  15. I don't like "spoilers", although I have wished more than once for a viable third party, even though it is easy to look around the world and see many problems with that "solution" also. However, I would much prefer a third party or even spoilers to having dead people vote, machine politics, etc. I think a close, real inspection of virtually every election in this country would reveal a host of irregularities. Amazing to contemplate but easy to observe. Best regards, RA1
  16. Thanks for the reply and INTERESTING. In other words, Bloomberg would be fulfilling the same role as that supposed for Perot in electing Clinton, but, this time, for a Republican? Best regards, RA1
  17. TY- Would you please explain your post to me? If Bloomberg didn't win and BO didn't win, who could win? Best regards, RA1
  18. One year's supply of Rogaine will not be nearly enough, sorry to say. A chance to rear their children out of the public eye is also not on the agendum. Being able to rear them as substantial, caring and responsible adults will also be difficult but not impossible, depending upon the activity and persevearance of the parents. Wealthy kids have a distinct disadvantage and those who are also very much public figures, even more so. Sucessful children are partly the result of genes and environment. I only wish them well and also to the parents. Best regards, RA1
  19. New Rochelle is Dick Van Dyke. Best regards, RA1
  20. BBB- You are NOT taking this seriously. Best regards, RA1
  21. No such certificate exists but that has been said before. Best regards, RA1
  22. BBB- No pet name? Best regards, RA1
  23. It is totally amazing to me what the "birthers" think they are doing. No doubt they will now concentrate on the "other" issues of did BO have dual citizenship? His university credentials. His university record. Etc. There are plenty of very serious issues to raise or talk about and these are just distractors. If Trump wants to run, he needs to quit stroking his ego and talk about some of the "real" issues. Best regards, RA1
  24. Lord William Rixa Holmes. Sounds more like a porn star than "real" royalty. Best regards, RA1
  25. Although I watched all of these shows and could "picture" each of the answers, I had to look up one or two. I hope you don't mind. 1. Pickles 2.Alan Brady 3. Giles French 4. Florence 5. Florida 6. Betty White 7. Sugarbaker All shows were very good and I enjoyed them all. Thanks for the memories. Yes, I liked Bob Hope also. Does that make me older than dirt? Of course, it does. Best regards, RA1
