  1. Of course. All that was certainly implied in my previous response. Best regards, RA1
  2. Not to worry, some of the other STD's will become more resistant to drugs and no doubt once again become the scourge they once (and always) were. However, that does not mean I am not all for a successful vaccine. Best regards, RA1
  3. Presently I am at home as it is just past 0700. Perhaps some of the others are busy avoiding the grinch that stole Christmas, something I will be out and about doing in a very little while. Best regards, RA1

    Traveling

Very literate and esoteric, however, my personal answer is likely one does not "go downtown" in one's own city and therefore is ignorant of what treasures lie therein. As one who does almost nothing except travel and someone who enjoys it immensely I will fall back on an old axiom and that is travel broadens and, unfortunately in my case, I mean calorically. Best regards, RA1
  5. Not that it much matters to the above points but what is $67 compared to $170,000? Also, I don't know what a liquor shop is. I think most likely he spent big bucks on expensive meals with lots of drinks which could have included expensive wine. Most liquor stores in MS and TN don't even have in stock very many if any expensive bottles of liquor or wine. Best regards, RA1 I think this guy was crying out for help and spent the money as part of his "problem". I am not defending him only providing a 5 cent analysis.
  6. Are you willing to wait 7 years for the movie? He may have taught himself to fly but he didn't teach himself to land. He certainly caught the attention of many with his over the top escapades. He is a physically attractive guy and I wish him well but he still is a felon. He will have to do more than write a letter of remorse in order to have a successful life. Best regards, RA1
  7. Does that mean that PSP is very expensive but just does not have the "many temptations"? Some of my many temptations include food, shelter, clothing, transportation and a few other "personal" needs. Best regards, RA1 PS--I get your point.
  8. I have always found NYC to be interesting, with or without the gay scene. I also agree I would not like to live there unless I was making a LOT of money, so, leaving is also good. The touristy stuff plus stuff singularly interesting to me is all good. I have enjoyed the Intrepid museum, Ellis Island, Freedom Island, the Battery where I was entertained by strolling free style acrobats, off Broadway and Broadway, street vendors, on and on. There is always something to do and see and be entertained by in NYC. There is no end to what can be entertaining in NYC and, sorry to say, no end to how much money one can spend while there. Best regards, RA1
  9. Is a gingle a jingle written by a gigolo? Best regards, RA1
  10. What does it say about me that I have never heard or heard of any of these songs? I have barely heard of one or two of the performers. Anyone else "brave" enough to admit the same? Best regards, RA1
  11. Years ago I was standing on line at Heathrow to buy a ticket from either TWA or Pan Am to JFK. It was summer time and the line was full of tired tourists and their families. One guy jumped ahead. The counter agent came out from behind the counter and very sternly remonstrated this guy about how one takes one's turn, etc. and escorted him back to his place, if not behind it. There was no cheering or hand clapping but I am positive that everyone who observed this and knew what was going on appreciated the scene and result. I do not remember ever seeing the like of this in the US or anywhere else off hand. Best regards, RA1
  12. Allow them or appreciate them? I don't think allowing them is up to either Lucky or me but regardless of how little regard I might have for such remarks, my instincts would be to allow if not ignore them. Wasn't Prince Harry chastised for wearing Nazi garb? Both aspects of that situation are silly. One, that he would be so uninformed or disrespectful of England's history with Nazism and two, that he would be so perhaps unfairly criticized for "playing a game" or whatever. But, he is a public figure and most posters herein are not. Best regards, RA1
  13. I think the USD bought about 30% more Mexican pesos recently than earlier this year (about 9.5 vs. about 13. I am sure there are currency bargains out there if one just looks hard enough. Is Mexico passe now or too dangerous? I realize the thrust of your post is about boy watching or boy meeting venues. So, you point is interesting. Best regards, RA1
  14. Of course, receive that and other junk all the time. Best regards, RA1
  15. It is sad and too bad that folks think they need to do illegal activities in order to "survive". I am hoping that you do not think "everyone" will do "anything" for money because that is incorrect. The escorts that I have met do not think that way even though they are technically doing something illegal for money. I also am employed in the aviation community and know plenty of folks therein who would not do illegal things for any reason. Personally, in years past, I have been offered several ten thousand dollars (like 50,000) to fly drugs to/from the US and points south. I refused. I am not trying to take a high moral ground, only make the point that most folks are honest and do not wish to earn money in this fashion. Best regards, RA1
  16. Lucky, of course. Best regards, RA1
  17. There is a company in MEM that will analyze this problem for $29 and then fix it or download whatever is salvagable from your hard drive for a modest fee. I realize it does not help you that this company requires the computer in their hands but the point is there should be someone relatively inexpensive near you who can resolve this problem, more or less, to your satisfaction. I claim no computer expertise and there are those who post hereon that do and perhaps they have a better solution. But, the folks here have saved my bacon more than once and at a reasonable price. Best regards, RA1
  18. Posting, ad nauseum. Best regards, RA1
  19. So you think being rude and bullying people is a sign of inadequacy also? I like your consideration. Best regards, RA1
  20. KYTOP, what you say about BF makes me re-evalutate my opinion about him. Previously, I was only looking at the negative side which you also mention. However, that is not all there is to him, is it? Thanks very much for answering Lucky's question and for educating me further. Best regards, RA1
  21. This sounds like MSY aka New Orleans where those under 21 can drink alcohol as long as they are accompanied by "adults" aka parents, but, sometimes known as clients. Best regards, RA1
  22. I am no fan of Babbitt but I have had to pay attention to what he says and does because it directly affects my career. He is too old to fly for the airlines and probably retired 10-15 years ago, based on his career only lasting 25 years. Pilots like to drink but I personally have never seen a professional pilot drink and fly, although I know that has happened but, rarely. Regardless of what I think, the FAA has decided that a pilot's DUI record IS important and will deny a medical certificate if any violations are not reported in a timely fashion or if they are repetitive. It is not like many judges and juries who let drivers drink and drive and get caught many, many times. Once and the FAA requires going through an 18 month abuse program and twice and you are out, basically for good. The only person I ever knew who drank and flew did not have a pilot's license and thought is was marvelous to have several drinks and then go buzz folks. He lived in rural TX and got away with it during the time I knew him. I am sure his liver gave up the ghost many years ago. He was the most alcoholic person I ever met. When he got up in the morning he would get a large styrofoam cup, put ice in it and start sipping Scotch. He drank a quart every day and then, if he was entertaining, he would "seriously" have a few drinks. Best regards, RA1

    New York's Finest

Most individual cops or others are very "real" folks and have the same ordinary hopes and aspirations as any of us do. However, when faced with the bureauracy and union affliations extant, they become the same "sheep" many of the rest of us become. They have no thought of fighting "city hall" and swimming upstream as part of their careers. It is only the very rare person who chooses to do so on an extended basis. Usually those persons are quickly taken care of in a negative way. This is basic politics and voters can do something about this but it cannot be solved with apathy. If YOU don't care, who will? And, who will vote the miscreants out if YOU don't? It isn't too late but it might be later than you think. Best regards, RA1
  24. I like your idea of something very useful for your BF. One can always travel but learning something, that is for always. Best regards, RA1
  25. Sensibility and initiative are seemingly almost never rewarded by any government agency. Why should the TSA be any different? Answer: It won't. Many of us seem to just sit back, let things happen in the name of security when really our rights and freedoms are being taken away willy nilly, and think very little of it. To make matters worse, there is no security. Best regards, RA1
