I hope that we are not arguing but simply trying to find common ground. Best regards, RA1
  2. No others? What happened to Lon Chaney, Boris Karloff et al? Regardless, I liked your comment and I have to say, I like by far most of your comments. Best regards, RA1

One has to have "desperate" hopes, doesn't one? IF there is not after life via re-incarnation or from religious fervor, then likely most everything is "nonsense" but I do not think you are completely so inclined or one would hope. However, what you believe or think is none of my business. Which is "anti-Republican", isn't it? Best regards, RA1
  4. I have waited for this to happen but it seems either I have a short attention span or it does not happen all the time. In fact, this "remedy" has only happened once or twice. Best regards, RA1
  5. 2 things. 1. For quite some time I was "automatically" logged on whenever I entered the site and chose forum. Not necessarily a bad thing but I did not have "keep me logged in" selected. Lately it seems to be working as I expected it to do. 2. Many times when I try to post I get the "saving" message but no post within what I consider a reasonable amount of time. Often I have to go back and re-enter my post, a nuisance. I have segued into entering one letter or one word of a post and then hitting "post", then finishing my post using edit. Not a very satisfactory solution but one that works most of the time, but not always. What is going on? Best regards, RA1
  6. The unusual, the different, they name is AS. Best regards, RA1
  7. I agree. I don't text or post from my cell phone, mainly because it does not have those capabilities. At least this is not a "brave new world". Best regards, RA1
  8. I suppose 30 minutes to "notice" the rules is exceptional, in a positive way. BTW--pilots call "sand time" flying in the middle east or thereabouts and regard it as a positive resume builder but not for "permanent" assignment for most "westernized" among them (us). Probably various in the military have similar appellations for duty thereabouts. Best regards, RA1

There are plenty of tasty herbs and spices to add to most any food, just not salt or any of the so called commercial salt substitues. I use garlic powder a lot, not garlic salt, as well as many other spices. Every recipe I have has different ingredients so not to waste reader's time............ Best regards, RA1
  10. And, all this time I thought Pluto was Mickey's dog. Best regards, RA1
  11. Me, too. Best regards, RA1
  12. Sane people don't but define military-grand hand weapons. How about goose and uncover? Best regards, RA1

I don't keep salt in my house and I love to cook. I don't recall anyone mentioning they needed salt on any meal that I served. No, I don't use any substitutes. However, we all need salt but I am sure I get more than I need from eating prepared food and away meals. Charlie, you sound like a friend of mine here in MEM. He says his heart is so healthy they will have to beat it into submission when he dies. Quitting smoking is the #1 thing one can do to live longer but eliminating salt in the American diet should be on the list somewhere. Best regards, RA1

Aren't we doing that now? Except for the doing away with taxes bit. Best regards, RA1
  15. Interesting. Why would at least 25,000 people WANT a death star? Best regards, RA1
  16. Some of those cars would be quite valuable if back in the US. They are old but still run. Kind of like this poster. Best regards, RA1

I am perfectly willing to give it a millenium and more but neither I nor my non-existent progeny are likely to be around for any results, good or otherwise. Therefore Obamacare, SS and many other facets of today's society as well as far into the future will not be mine to observe. Regardless, it is interesting to contemplate the arrival of "others" to guide or motivate earth as we know it. Best regards, RA1

Not a good idea. A level national income tax will work much better. Best regards, RA1

Have you tried "grinder" for relief? Best regards, RA1
