  1. Maggie was amazing. No doubt she had faults but, like Sir Winnie, was larger than life and someone who was much needed during her time. Even though, from time to time, she had problem getting along with some of her own country folks, she got along with "others" who also were world leaders such as RR and MG. We can never go back but I will miss her sense of the world. Best regards, RA1
  2. One of you is over dressed for West Side Story. Best regards, RA1
  3. Are you volunteering to be investigated using such? When they kill 3 people walking near you and almost kill you, will you still be happy? Best regards, RA1
  4. Some of these same arguments were no doubt made when bows and arrows were invented. After all with those one did not have to get up close and personal to dispatch an enemy as one did with a sword or knife. However, I am against civilian use of drones for the mentioned reasons as well as what I consider to be a most dangerous fact. They are "flown" or manipulated much as a hand held game but with far different and perhaps fatal consequences. After the operator has "accidentally" killed or injured someone, there is no reset button to restart the "game". Some of these kinds of things have already happened and drones are "barely" in use at the moment. Imagine if there are thousands of these things around in the hands of unskilled and poorly trained hands. Best regards, RA1
  5. What happened to church? I suppose it depends somewhat on what kind of hypocrite you are looking for. Best regards, RA1
  6. I have been to New Bedford and found out then it is populated by Portuguese but did not realize they were referring to Azoreans. Old fishing and whaling vessels can still be seen in the area. Thanks for the reply. Best regards, RA1
  7. I think you mean the high jacking of the hijack but never mind, your ditty is a ditty. Best regards, RA1
  8. What, no honor among thieves so to speak? How can we trust anyone? Answer, we don't. Best regards, RA1
  9. Your mention about immigrants from the Azores is interesting. Of course, they are mostly Portuguese in origin but because the Azores are so sparsely populated even today, I am surprised about any notable immigration to anywhere else. I am not doubting you, just surprised. I have been to Lajes Field a couple of times and find the Azores interesting. The climate is interesting, the locale is interesting, etc. There is much to learn about the Azores as well as where ever their citizens went, etc. Thanks for your report. Best regards, RA1
  10. Cowabunga! You got it. Best regards, RA1

    LUCKY

Lucky "signed off" a short time back but I think TOZ made the point that he is welcome back any time. Best regards, RA1
  12. Why would anyone wish to be hornless which freely translated could mean not horny? Of course, some of us might be temporarily not horny soon afterwards but with any sort of proper stimulation that goes away rather quickly. Best regards, RA1
  13. Well, it was simple minded. Best regards, RA1
  14. First, the Republicans can call themselves the moral majority all they want but they will not get an amen from me. Secondly, I do believe that the MSM does not report things they deem not in their own best interests or, for sure, move them to page 29. To recall some cases of racism extant in the blue states which you may or may not recall; do you remember Roxbury, MA almost going to war to prevent desegregation back in the '60's. As a teenager, did you travel to such as northern IL and spend a summer in a small town there where the "locals" said there will never be a black (only they didn't say black) person in our town? I did. Did you, as a young adult, ever go out west and have locals ask you why you Southern boys treated the blacks so badly and when you asked about how they treated Mexicans, they replied, oh you mean those dirty spics? I did. I resented all that and still do. Southerners cannot mistreat folks but neither can any others BUT having a too heavy a hand from pols and the feds is not my ideal solution. Best regards, RA1
  15. But we are trampling merrily away regardless and have been doing so for a very long time and not only locally but nationally as well. Not picking on you, AS, but various cannot just pick and choose which parts of the Constitution they don't like and attack such as Scalia for trying to uphold it all. Of course, it has provisions whereby it can be amended and the processes are delineated therein. None of them mention disagreement in various media as binding. Best regards, RA1
  16. Because the blue states lie about their sins. Best regards, RA1
  17. I know some of those peeps. Saw them last Easter. Best regards, RA1
  18. The "straight" version is why don't women make good carpenters? They have always been told that _______________ this much is six inches. Best regards, RA1
  19. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. We vote on everything now (polls and more) from who, what, when and where to did the sun come up yesterday or not? If unalienable rights were truly unalienable, our founders had no need to reduce the thought to writing, did they? Best regards, RA1
  20. The EPA and tree huggers are proud of you. Best regards, RA1
  21. Why be so choosy? Best regards, RA1
  22. Great pix. Often when one travels, one has to wonder what others might think or do. I have no illusions about what you think or do. Best regards, RA1
  23. If his BF thinks he is hot, far be it from me to disagree. After all that is their business, isn't it? Best regards, RA1
  24. This gay man likely will not be watching, not because I don't like Cher but because I know nothing about her mother or what is going on, likely my own fault. Also, I tend to not watch emotionally involved whatevers. I watch sports and technological events and aviation but not much more than that. Sorry, my fault. Best regards, RA1
