I could say much the same about FAR's (Federal Air Regulations). However, what strikes me is your statement about having a boss. I know you never actively had one, so to speak. Best regards, RA1

I don't think B-52's and a carrier task force were sent to the MED without Trump's knowledge or just so the sailors could possibly have good liberty in Athena. Someone is rattling a saber and it is difficult to know who. Best regards, RA1

I think your own words prove the point. Best regards, RA1

I stopped listening a LONG time ago. Best regards, RA1

What if I have retired to Malta? Do I still put a Thailand address? This is sort of like a TN experience I had in reverse. A friend moved to TN and I took him to the Highway Patrol office to get his TN DL. TN had recently allowed reservations for this to be made on line. We did so. When we got there perhaps 50 people were already waiting. A sergeant came into the room and said any with reservations come forward. 3 people came forward. All the others started muttering, how do we do that, etc.? We were gone in 20 minutes. Best regards, RA1

Everyone who actually thinks about DNR worries about a few things. One being I still can be "rescued". I am not really as sick as others think. I am not really almost dead, Mother Nature is just playing a trick on us. The medicos misread or misunderstood the latest tests. Etc. Our inbred instinct says do not give up. To get to a correct decision one's intellect must take over and let reason overrule instinct. I agree that someone just sitting there unable to talk or respond to others may indeed be having some quality of life but I really don't wish to know first hand. Best regards, RA1

It really is a shame they cannot cook meat, fish and fowl that is NOT dry. That can be done without compromising the diet one needs to be following. It is simply sloppiness or lack of care. Not good. Best regards, RA1

If someone sneaks into my house they may be greeted by either Mr.Smith or Mr. Wesson. If there is any fucking going on it likely will not involve a condom. I completely agree that undetectable is not the same as non-existent. It is difficult to be in control when there are so many wonderful folks out there to tempt us. However, we must do the best we can or suffer the consequences. Best regards, RA1

Are there other reasons to use a condom? Best regards, RA1

I don't think I equated anything other than impeaching a sitting President can and likely will backfire. Best regards, RA1

I am not a legal scholar but I do not agree that corporations should have "citizenship" rights. I agree the constitution has nary a mention of abortion but I do think women should have control of their bodies. I can only hope whatever decisions are made are informed. I am not happy with Congress critters and other government ne'er do wells running to lucrative lobbying jobs after hitting a bump in the road. Mr. David Crockett had the right idea when he opined that Congress should be in session for a few weeks and then the members should go home and look after their "real" employment and families. As far as literal interpretation, I suppose one could spend time considering what "the" means. Best regards, RA1

Interesting comments. The absolute restraints are elections. However, even these require the participation and agreement of the candidates. There was talk with Clinton, Bush II and Obama that they would not leave of their own accord. Apparently they all did. In other cases there is a refusal to concede when the vote is overwhelming. What you suggest as customs, habits, traditions, etc. is actually the difference between so called liberal and conservative interpretations of the constitution. I lean toward a literal interpretation although I certainly agree we no longer have slaves, women have the right to vote, etc. I object to judicial attempts to change the constitution. Plenty of room for disagreement and discussion here. Best regards, RA1

Go ahead and impeach. That worked well with Clinton. The Demos made the most during the elections after the Repubs impeached him. And, what is the point, other than dividing the country more? The Senate will never convict. Best regards, RA1

Personally I have had mixed results from other countries medical practice. While in NZ I fell and broke a fibula. I happened to be visiting with a radiologist who diagnosed it as a sprain without benefit of X-rays. One cannot just go into a hospital in NZ and get X-rays or any treatment. So, I hobbled around for a few days, flew home, went to my orthopedist and got a proper cast. Private doctors are available in NZ and I used one of them on another occasion with good results and inexpensive care and Rx. On another trip a pilot who was accompanying me got strep throat or some such. We were in Goose Bay, Maritime Provinces at the time. We went to the local dispensary and he got treatment. Free. Thank you very much. Sent him home via airline. Another friend sincerely believes that his father died because he could not get treatment without waiting several months for same. Both the friend and father were UK citizens with the father living in England. Of course this is not a valid sample, merely my experiences. Best regards, RA1

We cannot afford to fight wars all over the planet AND we cannot afford the healthcare being suggested by some current pols. It is not either or but neither. Pixie dust doesn't do it when the country is over 20 trillion dollars in debt with over 100 trillion in contingent liabilities. I agree luck is often underestimated and it DOES count. Best regards, RA1

Most folks become disloyal when the checks stop coming. If you cannot purchase pols, what good are they? Al seems to have died some time ago. Here I mean altruism. Best regards, RA1

Isn't it true that only the Congress can actually do anything and that thing is impeachment (followed by possible conviction)? I don't know if Mueller punted but a lot of folks fumbled. Best regards, RA1

There is a saying which I believe to be substantially true. It goes like this. If all the money in the US was distributed equally to every citizen, within 5 years it would be the same as it was to start. i.e. those that had the money before will have it again. Best regards, RA1
-
Of course not. If we are ever so silly as to enact redistributive wealth laws, no doubt we will deserve what negatively happens. Shall you be the first in line to give up substantially more of your income? Best regards, RA1

Most everyone wants something for nothing or paid for by others. Unfortunately the world does not work that way. Best regards, RA1

Kiwis are very matter of fact about everything so far as I can tell. Wonderful scenery, wonderful folks; would go back anytime. But, like asdsrfr, I was unable to make contact with the gay community because of business. Go if you have the chance. Best regards, RA1
