Yes. The past is dead, like yesterday’s feces. Forget it & flush it, for God’s sake, and look toward life tomorrow.

The occasional vent here about the stupidities we endured there while trying to contribute there seem merited here. Just not to dwell, and move on, as said above. But to be irritated about a vast sea of stupidity where we tried for years to contribute value, to little avail, seems not unreasonable.

Not so sure. If the negative implications from the Jewish viewpoint remind what the Goyim did at Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen, on and on, maybe they are useful.

Agree completely. Some misuse here, & certainly Elsewhere, horribly. When we could otherwise be having so much fun!
-
Surely posting here has nothing literally to do with that, but rather gently making fun of one anothers’ personal foibles, & etc.

I think we are getting close to a Shakespeare quote that I cannot quite find.
-
Well, that would be the question, would not it?
-
My observation exactly. People with real money would be mortified to ever speak of it.

Who did write it?

Happens. Believe me at 60 now.

Generational change has saved societies again and again. I smell it now again. Just wait a little bit. These under-30-year olds — under 25, actually — who may seem asleep at the switch I think are about to erupt. Not that they have not done already. 200,000 of them marching to say, ’Please stop shooting us in our classrooms.’ The 2020 election cycle will tell.

Think today’s kids will save us.

How on earth could anything said in an online forum scare anyone? You are reifying the virtual. A dangerous society-wide mental/emotional pathology today.

Again, Daddy’s urge to purge his best contributors is perhaps the best clue to the nature of his mental illness. If one could even dignify the phenomenon by that term.

In fact I have enjoyed some great sex with fat boys & girls. What is the Yiddish word — zaftig. They often very much know how to enjoy life, and how to give and receive pleasure. ’Milord Falstaff!’

No, I myself wrote in 2005 on daddy’s a takedown post of BN titled “A New Low.” About a blog item of his in which he denounced in various terms 2 other escorts, a ‘former escort couple’ (which Monroe erroneously and a bit oddly thought referred to himself and his partner). About one of them being HIV+ and not disclosing to clients. The other takedown of BN was the reveal of his vast stealing & lightly rewriting on his own blog of the work of a popular writer of public commentary & light humor. Your point here?

’The world is a comedy to those who think, a tragedy to those who feel.’ — La Rochefoucauld Or some other of that bunch.

...How far can we go with this before getting locked?

So a new thread dedicated to puns! Lake Havasu!

Where are my martinis?

You think? I’m not so sure.

My long observation & experience have been that when the moment for action comes, such actors — after voluble comment toward the goal — almost invariably run away and avoid the commitment.

That Drumph is creating all the immediately above insane chatter shows how successful he is being.

That is a very good point. There are two (at least) sides to everything. N.C. Sen. Sam Ervin, constitutionalist hero of the Watergate hearings, was also a longtime racist in his Congressional career.

That seems very dangerous. Pragmatism is useful, but can badly backfire long-term.
