Canadian Visitors Must Pay new Entrance Fee in Colombia (Nov 2023)
xpaulo replied to macdaddi's topic in Gay Colombia
When I went to Colombia in mid-January there was one station in the Bogota airport's customs hall with a credit card handset designated for Canadians to pay the fee. But there wasn't any kind of notice posted about it. So after a longish wait to get to the front of the line, I realized I could have just gone directly to that station where there would have been a short wait or no wait at all to clear customs. As you walk into the hall, it's the very last station on the left hand side. -
A German pharmacy refused to sell me their equivalent to Imodium without a prescription. I think they've loosened up on that restriction though.

I see the International Ice Hockey Federation has extended the ban on Russian and Belarus teams from international competitions for the upcoming year. I think the elite hockey world in Canada was hoping they'd let Russia back in. Hockey people are completely focused on their sport to the exclusion of everything else and they believe Russian players should not be penalized for their government's policies. Russian players are also well liked within the NHL. I'm still not clear if the ban is mostly to do with Ukraine, mostly due to drug use or a combination. I think some of the European countries... ie ones who are worried about Russian expansionism want them ostracized. I know nothing about the internal goings on... but it's possible Sweden, Finland and the Czech Republic might have raised the possibility of boycotting.

There you go for next time straight from Britney, the voice of a generation... "mind your business, bitch."
-
There was sort of an unspoken arrangement in Canada where most people just minded their own business and left others alone. In Canada I think it was mainly only a hardcore wing of the Catholic Church that openly spoke against rights on issues like gay marriage and abortion. But now a lot more people are open about hating gays, hating immigrants and hating women who want freedom from patriarchy.

I was talking about these marches that were occurring in Canada, they were probably about 99.9 percent white and just before the Hamas attack in Israel they were joined by members of a national Muslim association who were probably 99.9 percent brown. Please don't start looking for things that aren't there. I'm pretty sure there are bigots in every race.

I'm not American, so no expert, but my impression has been Americans elect the candidate they find the most likeable. Obama is very likeable, Bush has a good sense of humour and never mind qualifications and politics, he was more likeable than Kerry and Gore. The Clinton one is more difficult because she's nasty (think of the nasty attacks on Obama during the primaries), but so is Trump. A lot of Americans had a longstanding hatred for her though. Supposedly no incumbent has ever lost during a good economy and I believe the American economy is doing well..... but we seem to be in the upside world right now.

That's for sure. Anti-gay stuff is all over social media now in Canada. We had a series of "Save the Children" marches in Canada in the fall.... you can guess who the children needed to be saved from. The usual radical Christians/right wing bigots were joined by Muslim gay haters which was a first. They provided comments like, "they're disgusting, they should be dead," and "they have no human rights, they're not human, they're animals." As for the white bigots, they're using gays/trans as targets for now because they're easy to go after without much blowback, but it will spread to more severe racially motivated attacks and against women.

I think my mother died sometime between 1995 and 2005. Time to send me to the glue factory. I guess to be fair, I have no intention of being the President of the United States, nor would I accept such an offer if it were made.

From the description of what happened, I don't see how anybody would think it was sex trafficking, unless the employee is just disgusted by older men with younger men.

Definitely, if she did it to you, she's doing it to others. If it's a hotel chain they're going to be concerned about lawsuits and I think more likely to do something about it. She may also escalate her discrimination as time goes on to the point of calling police. She could do it anonymously and embellish to get police attention. They'd realize it was untrue right away, but having them knocking on somebody's hotel room door late at night would be humiliating.

It's very nice inside. Based on the past few days it was a better place to be a top than a bottom. Only one active massage guy. He was great though, had a fun time. There are also regular guys too of course.

Live and learn.... found out today St Moritz in Medellin is really quiet on Sundays. It was hopping on Friday. But today only a few pretty chicos and one masculine guy were working. Fortunately the masculine guy is very good at his job. The three hottest guys there were civilians. They were holed up somewhere. But two came out to put on a BJ show in the bar area with one going down on his very tall, very good looking friend. I think they may have been northern Euros given how blonde the really tall one was and no sign of a suntan. Also found out the front desk has a street cam so you can see when your ride arrives. I went out to the deserted street a few minutes early and a guy appeared out of nowhere heading straight to me. I headed back in and the desk guy opened the door right away and the stranger followed me in. He left after a couple minutes of conversation. They wouldn't let me leave until we saw the Uber pull up. The desk guy and the masculine massage guy came out with me both shirtless and looking very macho. I was glad because the stranger was hanging out across the street.

Definitely my experience living on the west coast of Canada, maybe because of the tragically high rates of alcoholism and drug addiction combined with homelessness. There's always been panhandlers and I've avoided sidewalk tables for years. There are people in my town who want the police to keep the street people out of sight. My feeling is we should always know they exist. And a guy did take my plate with leftovers at the Frankfurt train station once. I gave him money instead, but I guess that was wrong too, re drugs.

Colombia: full list of hot spots

Fercho's update.... apologies if this has already been reported. Checked in with Fercho's yesterday and it's using a different sex hotel. The Boston Real is sort of between the Bliss and St Moritz. A year ago when I asked to see the available tops I received photos of about 30 guys. Yesterday I got photos of about seven guys. Only one appealed and I don't think the guy that showed up was the one in the photo. The one that showed was probably younger and much better looking. Went by St Moritz late this afternoon and had a lot of fun with a couple of guys. One said it's been 10 days since his last cum and it may not have been a complete fabrication. He kept mentioning it to the other guy as if shocked it was me who released the flood, and it was indeed quite a tasty flood. -
I see a lot of straight porn with young Russian guys and others that seems to be shot in Prague. Some of them did a bit of gay porn when they were starting out. Has anybody ever heard of straight porn actors working in Prague doing gay for pay escort work?

Canadian Visitors Must Pay new Entrance Fee in Colombia (Nov 2023)

Thanks for this. I'm going on Tuesday and hadn't heard about it. Years ago I spent a few days in Bangkok getting visas for Laos and Vietnam. At the Lao office there was a list on the wall of what various nationalities had to pay for the visa. The highest fee was for Canadians. The others in the waiting room were all wanting to know Canada had done to piss off Laos. I had no idea. They don't like our "haughtiness?" Which I heard one American on a panel show describe once as an annoying trait in Canadians. -
https://www.vancouverpolicemuseum.ca/post/the-legend-of-mitzi-dupree Mitzi Dupree was already a legend in western Canada when I was in university in Victoria in the early 80s. I went with my roommates to see her show at one of the bars in Victoria. It was actually pretty entertaining watching her and the mixed group of young men mainly from the university and the navy base who packed the bar. The hormones were flowing freely and it was the only time I've been in a large group sexually aroused straight men all squished up against each other. One of the sailors in the back of the bar yelled, "I can smell you from here," at Mitzi..... but I think it was the other men he was smelling.

Brazil Visa Requirement Postponed Again
xpaulo replied to asdsrfr's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
I can see it for the States... but as a Canadian, I just can't see Canada becoming a destination for economic or other migrants from Brazil. People from hot countries hate Canadian winters and there aren't as many economic opportunities in Canada as there are in the States. It's also more expensive to live in Canada. I won't get into the cultural differences. Even people from the UK find Canada incredibly dull. (I used the UK because I don't think they should be casting stones. It's the land of my forefathers, but I'd rather go to almost any other country in Europe). Canada eliminated visas for Mexicans years ago and I don't think it's a big problem. Some Mexicans are flying to Canada and the illegally crossing the border in the US from there. But it's nothing compared to the illegal crossings on the southern border. On the other side, I don't see any benefit to Brazil to bring back the visa requirement except for childish pride. -
I was at Axel 2 in early December, had a guy from Thermas over in mid-afternoon. The guys at the desk didn't pay any attention. I should add I needed their help to deal with some urgent paperwork and they took care of it, so I was grateful for that.

I think around 2010 I read a story about an entire hostel in Rio being taken over by a gang one night and all the guests robbed at gunpoint. A woman staying in the same hostel as me told me about being swarmed by a group of about 10 year old boys at a street party who ran their hands all over under her clothes looking for jewelry and cash. There was also a scandal about police officers being paid by businesses to kill young boys who were targeting tourists in the beach areas. So maybe things had changed for awhile, but maybe it just a reporter looking for an angle to make it sound like news.

Instead of just sitting back and letting me blow them with no engagement from them, if I asked, they'd be more take charge and be the dominant masculine partner I was hoping for. It was a lot more enjoyable for me and I think they appreciated knowing what it was I was hoping for.

Just spent a few days in Istanbul with several visits to Aquarius. I've always liked it because the men to me are super hot. But I've also regretted the uncomfortable cubicles and the not good value for money. I'm not sure what changed, but the guys had really upped their game since my last visit two years ago. I'm passive and they were much more aggressive than in the past. There weren't many younger guys there, it was mostly masculine from some low 20s into low 30s. As for escorts Hunqz and Rentmen have been blocked by the the government, but I think there are workarounds..

Just came from Paragonya, nice place. Maybe more working guys than customers. As a passive who prefers masculine guys well into their 20s the guys seemed younger and not particularly masculine. The one guy who caught my eye was not interested in talking to me, maybe like Menaughty he was a customer. But I certainly got what I wanted and left contented. By coincidence I came here from Barcelona where I went to Thermas several times. As others say it is fun and lots of choice. The last time I was there was almost 20 years ago and the prices don't seem much different. That time I met the man of my dreams sexwise, a Romanian. This time it was an Albanian.
