Wise words. Two people can have entirely different experiences with the same guy because of differing personalities, expectations and differences in what turns a person on. On the other hand I am really, really grateful for all of the information about places to find or meet guys at travel destinations, what to expect, places to use caution and so forth. I realized later in life that I had been to places where I could have had a much better time if I had known what was available.

I had no idea she is the same actor as the lead in Happy Valley. I think she's making another season of that excellent program. I like it when I don't recognize an actor from a different program or movie. There are some who don't make much of an effort to become a different character than themselves.

Santo Domingo - Manny - Fees
xpaulo replied to endlessdream's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
My feeling is that generally, people are entitled to charge what customers are willing to pay. Obviously there are distortions when there's only one seller, but that doesn't seem to be the case in Santo Domingo. I'm certainly not well off, but for me $100 for time with a beautiful man is not unreasonable. -
Medellin, Colombia, April 9/17 2022

Thank you. What a beautiful write-up, and it sounds like a wonderful time. It brought back memories for me, a young Colombian standing up in the stands at a World Cup game in Brazil to sing a folk song and all the Colombians in that part of the stadium going silent to listen to him. And climbing a Mayan pyramid in Palenque and then unable to take the first step back down because of vertigo. ( I had to sit down and then shift my bum down step by step). I have to go to Colombia within a year or two because soon age and health will prevent me from ever going. -
And then there's Israel, on the friendly list, when it should understand more than most what it's like to be in Ukraine's position, plus the billions in American military aid every year, plus the American veto at the United Nations that's consistently used to protect Israel from UN resolutions.

Since I've never made the rounds of bars in SDQ I wouldn't have any knowledge about the privacy in hustler bars there so I don't know where you get the naive comment from... and anyway why are you being so nasty, it was just a question. Personal digs like this are why people avoid these types of sites.

Hi, thanks for the report on Marlowe's. If I can ask, is the back room literally one room, or is there a place for some privacy.

For the younger people, in the early 80s everything to do with South Africa became toxic because of apartheid. Over time it became wearing on white South Africans to experience being shunned. It was of course the determination of black South Africans who were responsible for the end of apartheid, but the international sanctions helped create the sense among the whites that the end was inevitable. I hope the pressure can be maintained against Russia, if Putin is not stopped now, we'll soon be in the same situation with the Baltic countries.

I don't if this is too far off topic, but are there still hotels in Bangkok where you can bring a guest?

Some quoted me a rate in lira, others I just offered them a rate in lira first. There's nothing comparable to Aquarius at home, but I tried to match what it might be if there was something like that.
-
You're correct, the tourist operations were quoting in euros, but restaurants in normal neighbourhoods were very inexpensive. The movie Dune was about $2.50 U.S. in the theatre compared to about $16 U.S. to see The French Dispatch in Paris. Also far fewer tourists which was nice for me, not so nice for the people whose livelihood depends on them. As for the guys at Aquarius, I think I was offering over the going rate, but some still wanted more. I felt bad for them because it was very quiet. I think one afternoon I was the only outsider there. Barcelona was particularly disheartening because it looked there were abandoned cafes and other businesses on every block. But it looked like the ones that survived are doing okay.

Was just in Istanbul the first two weeks of December. Lots of he-man type escorts in romeo and rentmen. Did meet up for an hour with an incredibly hot escort. Went back and forth in my head about whether it was crazy to go to Aquarius with omicron taking off, but went twice just at the end. Definitely some attractive guys there. A few male model types who really aren't my thing. Had a great time with a few working class type guys. They're the kind of guys I grew up with and have always been the most attractive for me. Didn't get Covid. I suppose the guys there would have had it already, maybe more than once. It was must be a pretty conducive place for transmission, little rooms, close contact. It was incredibly cheap with the TL collapsing, but guilt inducing because the economic problems are really hard on the working people. Also went to Barcelona, but the Thermas site said foreigners needed a document I didn't have. I had a French covid pass that might have got me in, but I didn't feel like trying to sort something like that out at door. Had a nice time in Paris with an escort and a duo in Madrid. I'm at an age where just some body contact and some light activities are more my thing. All of the escorts I met were good guys and I had a good time with them. Not many tourists around Europe, but the cafes and bars everywhere are busy, especially Paris. It was kind of surreal seeing people packed together, not wearing any masks.

https://co.mileroticos.com/escorts-gay/ I look at the gay escort ads on this site from time to time. It has escorts all over Colombia. Never tried calling one. Language could be a big problem for people who don't speak Spanish.

Some guys seem to like the buff tanned guys without any body hair. I prefer the wiry types with a bit of facial hair who look like they might work in an auto parts store. I'm sort of ashamed to admit I've also been admiring some of the young Taliban fighters I've seen on the news lately.

I've been surprised by the number of the times the escort turned out to be hotter than the guy who's photo he used in his ad. -
Oh gosh, I'm sorry, that was ancient history. But I remember it so well, even what he looked like, tall and lean, but hard as concrete. Good luck, I hope you find what you're looking for.

Just curious if anybody ever hooked up with a Bulgarian escort named Boril. He is the most beautiful man I ever met. The last time I saw him was in 2015 in Paris and I'm sure he's not escorting anymore. My hope is he earned enough savings to set himself up in a business or a career. I will say Bulgarian escorts are my favourite, masculine but also easy going. While Sofia is kind of depressing, the people generally are pleasant and seem civic minded.

I had a session with a Romanian guy at the escort sauna in Barcelona. One of the best I've ever had with an escort. Not a nice guy, but as a dominant top he was fantastic.

Expanding My Horizons In Santo Domingo
xpaulo replied to Lonnie's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
I stayed in a beach town just outside Santo Domingo and took a local bus into town one day. I was struck at how kind the younger men were to the elderly ladies, helping them with their belongings, giving up their seats to them, making sure the driver let them off at their stops. Eventually there was just me and the driver and the conductor on the bus and they started mocking me in Spanish talking about me being gay. How little did they know. I never tried to find a guy for sex. The town I was in had lots of pimps and female sex workers. The desk clerk at the hotel even asked me if I wanted a woman when I checked in. I didn't ask if any guys were available. But there were local guys staying with some of the European women. -

I know a guy who lives there with his Thai wife, and he keeps posting photos of them at beautiful deserted resorts. I'm not a people person so it looks like paradise to me. -
The ratings are pretty good in Canada, I think in part people are just looking for inspirational type stories.
