  1. GWMMinUS, what is your suggestion for a newbie to the Phillipines ? I plan on going in late January 2019, will fly to Manila ,then what should i do.? I will hire Mose’ s tour guide for a few days to see Manila , but is it worth it to go to Angeles City ? Should I book a plane to Cebu ?? Where should I stay in Manila?
  2. I think some apps have “ long stays “, im sure and maybe someone would know but im sure Hotels.com app have a long stay feature?
  3. Great points, but actually how many of us actually plan our trips I remember a guy I used to work with many years ago ago who was the most pedantic person and would plan his overseas trips months in advance even going to the extreme of putting in times in and times out to locations. He even planned what restaurant him and his wife were going to on a certain date and the times! That is going a bit anal though lol
  4. In the last few years, probaly the last 2 actually,I have been fascinated by using these hotel apps when staying a month or so in Thailand. My last visit of two months I used Hotelscom app, which after 10 bokkings you receive a free night, plus if you find something cheaper they refund the difference.( you need to wait about 30 days though) I am now a Gold member of Hotels app which actually means nothing except they send the generic 50% off emails which all have a catch to them, I am yet to get 50% off. I believe hotels also own Expedia . Many tell me you can call the hotel direct and get a better price? I did that once in the Copa hotel in Boyztown only to be slugged a VAT tax fee which made it more expensive than the app ! Do any of you use Airbnb ? I did look at the prices qouted but they seem far more expensive a d then some wanted electric etc on top of that !!! I do love Airbnb and have used them but I am not paying over the top in low season. It actually surprises me with all the competition in accomodation why many owners with Airbnb in Pattaya are expensive. I am also a member of the Hilton Honours Club which sounds fancy but actually means nothing too as they give little benefits away . What other Hotel discount or loyalty Clubs are around? I find most are actually not giving anything away.
  5. Well...ok, Paborn you got me LOL
  6. I know the boys at one stage were complaining about the Acon being cold so maybe thats why they turned it down,I find it quite good actually, I dont like places too cold . I took a friend to Winner Boy go go back in August , his first time to Pattaya and he was horrified when I started throwing the ping pong balls at the boys !!!
  7. Seems to be a common theme here with many posters mentioning African boys”?
  8. Moses I plan to use your Phillipines guide from Late January 2019 , it says he is in Manila, Do u have only one guide in the Phillipines at this time?
  9. I now feel guilty having been bored on my last trip to Pattaya. In fact I was so bored after 6 weeks I decided to go to other places to explore and next trip i plan on a different Country altogether. The thing is everytime i mention this to others or even a wotkmate its like I am the one to blame. " i never get bored on my vacation" they snap, thrre's always something to do !! Maybe there was laziness in there? I had 2 work friends come over to Pattaya for a few days visit, at the same time as me, they are half my age and whilst both gay were more into bungee jumping and the parachuting on Jomtien beach than boy bars, however they did invite me but its not my idea of fun.! They preferrred more Bangkok but they did say to me to try new things, cant imagine myself bungee jumping though not with my knees. They have this idea one should be constantly busy all day on their vacation from 6am to 11pm bungee jumping, shopping, eating, gym, But surely i can be lazy on my vacation without feeling guilty, if i prefer to sit by the pool or watch a movie instead of constantky barhopping isnt that ok? But thsts why you get bored said my 2 young active friends, your lazy sitting by the pool etc. And maybe their right, am I mixing up boredom with perhaps laziness?
  10. Is Cebu the best city to meet boys on the apps?
  11. I personally would be a bit hesistant going back to THEIR room , but it worked out ok for you. Bangkok African guys on Grindr are qouting from 5k to 10k for short time

    Baan dok mai

Yes i believe i have saw him there over the years. A few others too from the boards. Im not sure how the BDM guesthouse is nowadays but under its forner owner Warwick is was quite good and had the coffee shop downstairs. When Warwick sold it in about 2015 or so,abd i heard at a offer he couldnt refuse, Chris the new owner sub leased out the downstairs cafe and the new subleasee made the downstairs into a phone shop, all was left was the door to the upstairs rooms. I really wanted to support Chris the new owner but constant WiFi problems, no cleaning etc etc I think that was his first mistake, I really felt sorry for Chris though as he was young guy trying to do business in a tough market and like all young guys tried to do it the easy way and you just cant do that in business.
  13. Lol you maybe right Paborn.
  14. I had been staying at the Baan Dok Mai Hotel just near Tukcom, for about every trip up until about 2016 when their Wifi continually let me down, it was about this time too it was under new ownership bought by a young Aussie guy Chris. Chris purchased it from Warwick a former bar owner in Sunee. Chris was a lovely guy , polite helpful etc but had no hotel management experience, he had been a delivery driver in his previous life and wanted to be with his girlfriend living the life in Thailand. I did feel for Chris because he was a young guy trying to make something of something he didnt know about. I decided by 2017 to stay in Jomtien complex from there on however I always wanted eventually to go back to the Baan Dok Mai because of its locality and low price ,however I just heard it was sold a few months ago and now a Thai couple run it , To me if you are looking for a low price room even with a sunny balcony with great location just near Tukcom you cant go past BDM, rooms are from a low 700 baht a night . I have also seen quite a few of you over the years stay there.
  15. Anyone ever used the services of the African guys on Bangkok Grindr? I was tempted and now wish I had . Prices quoted were from 7000 to 10, However going by their pics they were probably worth it with those large powerful cocks and hanging balls. Usually if I want a boy badly, I am prepared to pay for it even if it's over the top. I recall a boy in Cambodia who looked like Justin Beiber only Cambodian, he was working in a hotel and wasn't gay, I just had to have him and paid $200 for the hour, I know it was a he'll of a lot but I had to have him. I would if been regretting it now if I didn't take him just like I'm regretting not trying that African cock !!!
  16. Thanks GWM..I hope it's more fun in the Phillipines !!!!
  17. Yes Gon the Laos guy, lovely polite boy. The owner apparently is the other guy who is as equally as nice to talk to, can't recall his name but he has widely travelled. I go there because I love the talking to the guys there and everyone is friendly.
  18. Yes I also liked Eden bar. The 2 boys running it are very nice and speak great English. They are great to talk to and friendly,I spent many a nights there.
  19. MOSES .May I ask you if you have looked into having guides in Sri Lanka & Nepal? I am going to the Phillipines early next year and I'm so glad you have a guide there.

    BBB Inn

A few weeks ago I had booked via the Hotelcom app to stay at the BBB Inn . It described itself as a Gay hotel right among the action. To cut a long story short , on arriving they didn't have my booking in their system. I decided not to stay and I notified the hotel app and they refunded my money. I never do see any reviews of the BBB Inn unlike other gay only hotels/ guesthouse. To me I did change my mind for various reasons mostly because they hadn't received my booking so they said, but those looking for a hotel close to the bars you can't get better than this location. It's around the 1200 baht a night average price from the travel apps. They also have a few albeit expensive massage boys on staff. If the circumstances had been different I may have wanted to stay there.
  22. I had a boy a few weeks ago on one of the apps quote me 2500 baht shirt time. I said so that would be about 2 hours I would expect from you, he replied 2 hour? No only about 20 minute.

    Retirement

I met 4 guys in Pattaya recently, all had one thing in common they had all recently retired. An Austrlian guy a fit looking 62yo was a fireman and retired with a fair sum, his pension fund paid over 2 million baht a year, he had been in Thailand for several months but decided it was better a 3month in Thailand and 6 month in Australia thing. 63yo American guy retired small business owner told me he was living off his rental income back home in Nevada USA, and savings, he had to strict budget thus only allows himself one night a week out and 2 boys a month. He currently rents a pattaya condo. 66yo Aussie guy self employed builder just retired , owned several apartments, told me he lives off investment property income and spends 6 months x 6 months , seemed to be very mean with his money after I caught him haggling the price of his drink with the bar owner claiming it was still haopy hour. So these guys arw all over 60yo, they worked until then or later. They all scrimped and saved
