Ive taken one overnight train from hanoi to cao lai station to get to sa pa before. The train ride going there is surprisingly very comfortable. The bed and pillow is great and the toilets were very clean. We arrived around 6 am, got to our hotel around 7.30, had breakfast and straight to our morning hike to the tribe village at 9. We save on the hotel, and travel time as we have the whole day to explore the next day. Granted we dont really have local flight option like bangkok to chiang mai, i could understand why one would opt for an overnight train. But only if your activities are day acivities, and the bunk bed is comfortable for a good night sleep, meaning take at least a 2nd class ticket.

Ive had a few apps/online experiences myself in my country, and the few times ive tried, it hasnt been great. Xi om in saigon, ojek in indonesia, moxi in thailand. They are known to be a tourist trap in many of the tourist attraction area. I have used them sparingly because of these, usually just to try new things. i usually travel with friends hence taxi would make more sense. Back to topic, thailand price are still way cheaper than any other country offering similar service. 100 bath is really usd 2 for some but if taking a taxi would only cost half that in my country, id hesitate taking moxi as well. At 10 bath/km, it is very reasonable though

How i wish i can visit thailand as often, but hey, ill settle with the thai masseur that is working in my country for the time being once in a blue moon, the perfect thai guy comes here and i just hope itll happen more frequent lol. I didnt take mocy in silom either, in fact, i walked from arena all the way to dusit thani after massage. Because to get to the bts is rather nuisance with all the stairs climbing etc, might as well enjoy the walk. But i did take mocy when i go to ayutthaya. $200 for a private tour in a private car all inclusive is actually ok value. Not cheap but for a private tour, its reasoable to me. But if you feel that u can make the tour yourself, with taxi, and just hire the guide, go for it. Thats what ill do if im on a budget.

The different with office is you only have 1 employer, so you maintain a good work ethic because u want to continue working for that employer.
