  1. You can take a stroll in Lumphini Park after sunset. If you want it a bit romantic, organize a boy to come with you, buy Krathongs=boats and let them float in the lake. Many people there, nice atmosphere!
  2. Did you buy for 200 and got 190? That's a discount of minus 5%
  3. I could imagine that owners who rent out for less than the minimum required 30 days in Bangkok try to avoid filling out any kind of registration form ...
  4. Starbucks in GMMTV-Tower same same.
  5. Here is another one: https://foundation.mozilla.org/en/privacynotincluded/hornet/
  6. Interesting article: https://foundation.mozilla.org/en/privacynotincluded/grindr/
  7. It looks like the movie is called "Perfect Human" in other countries. In case is really the same movie, it should be available on Amazon.
  8. Sorry can't find the answer for this in the FAQs for e-Arrival nor is it meantioned in the video!
  9. This website https://www.arrival.gov.kh/ says: When can I submit the Cambodia e-Arrival? You may register and submit application within 7 days prior to your arrival into the Kingdom of Cambodia. I would say this means you can't do it earlier than 7 says prior to arrival. On the same website there is also a video explaining the app (at least Iit looks like an app ... you can do the registration on a website or in an app), and at 00:53 it says: "declaration can only be done within 7 days prior to date of arrival (including the day of arrival) to Cambodia" after that, there is a wrong example "For example if you are arriving on 1 Oct 2023, you can only submit your declaration from 7 Oct 2023 onwards" Switch the 2 dates and it makes sence. Also at 00:54 you can see that the app only offers 7 possible dates to choose as arrival date, so I would conclude if you arrive on october 7 you can only fill in the form between october 1 and october 7.
  10. I think Keith will need 2 hands because it is 2 guys!
  11. You have to wait anyway until your next visit to Bangkok which is in the year 2029 if i am not mistaken, or did you already change your mind?
  12. If those 2 are the barkers, I would off them
  13. An "LGTBQ host bar" according to their social media: https://www.facebook.com/dragonandkoibar https://www.instagram.com/dragonandkoibar/ https://x.com/dragonandkoibar Not much info yet ... grand opening on October 4, I think they missed it ...
  14. You can hold a second forum council ... I would certainly apply to participate
  15. Also wondering what kind of press they want to attend the "Press Conference Show"? I always thought this type of etablissement prefers to stay in the shadow?
  16. Friendly immigration officer is a very rare species like smiling guys in Moonlight Bar. So far I only encountered one in Singapore and one in the Philippines.
  17. I forgot 1 point: Paying online is a different story, like buying a museum ticket or train ticket online. For that you must be a mainland China resident. The alternative is to buy tickets on those international websites like Klook, Getyourguide etc, but they are much more expensive.
  18. Alipay allows foreign credit cards, but you must also check if your credit card issuer allows it. I used a Wise Virtual Debit Card to connect with Alipay, which I deleted when I left China I am not sure if you can use foreign credit cards with Wechat pay, probably not. I think Wechat pay is the most widely used system and then comes Alipay, but most vendors offer both. I can speak here mainly about Beijing: you actually can pay cash in most places, I just doesn't look like it because almost noone does it and they don't explicitly mention it and they hide the cash somehwere behind in the room. Near the end of my holiday I tried to intentionally pay cash in many places to get rid of the left over paper money, and that worked pretty well, I am talking about museums, restaurants, small shops; I didnt try with taxis I "only" had 2 occasions where I had trouble to pay: 1 taxi driver because he only had Wechat-Pay and I had Alipay and he became pretty angry (stupid guy!) but in the end I could pay in cash with a few percent surcharge 1 automatic massage chair where i wasnt able to figure out how to pay, so no massage
  19. #duplicate post#
  20. I am somewhat technologically outdated but i thought the purpose of a QR-Code is to be scanned by a scanning device like our beloved smartphones, not to actively scan something else (the laser pointer)?
  21. So everybody would be pointing his camera to the stage or elsewhere to scan barcodes, but secretely taking pictures? I dont like this idea. This makes me really shy! Would it even work in a dimly lit room to scan barcodes? Or if the boy is half hidden in second row? How would you in the future report "I offed Nr. 9", would you say "I offed barcode nr. 9-234234--535524546--62626266"? I dont think so. If pushy mamasans are the problem, it would be the owners task to adress this problem. If the owner doesnt care and the mamasans are the real bosses, they wouldnt introduce barcodes to bypass themselves anyway. The website needs constant updating, we know how well this works ... Do you really want to log in the wifi of the bar ... many dont like this for security reasons. To sum it up, i think a simple thing becomes just more complicated in the end. The real issue is that pushy/unfriendly mamasans can keep customers away from the bar and I wonder why owners dont care.
  22. It happened a few times to me that i got 1 day free data with limited speed for my AIS sim card when i switched it on on arrival. I always use the same simcard and recharge it.
  23. One day, long before the pandemics, I was there and a guy asked me for my whatsapp and I carelessly gave it to him and then I got messages "I love you", pictures, videos, naked pictures, "why dont you love me?" etc. so pushy that i had to block him. Now when I am in Pattaya, which is rare, and he detects me on Grindr, I still get messages. Since when does the Dongtan court have floodlight? I remember the guys all changing to the court in Jomtien Soi 8 when it got dark., but the court there is gone now.
