The Hardy Boys was a favorite. But I had to read all the Nancy Drew books my older sister had before I could start with the Hardy Boys. Maybe that explains something?! The novel that really made a deep impression was Catcher in the Rye and its main character Holden Caulfield. It opened my mind .And somewhat off topic, Fellini's La Dolce Vita Really changed my view of certain prior beliefs

One of the best salad bars anywhere is in Pattaya!! The Wooden Box on Thappraya Rd. around the corner from Baan Souy Resort. Ate there every day for over a week!! Felt great! They also have a wide variety of other delicious food most of which is health oriented.

I used to use dreadedned. It was most helpful for all sorts of gay venues in all the major Thai cities. Haven't used it in a long while. So I just tried it and got directed to a page saying - "Your connection is not private. Attackers may be trying to steal your information from www.dreadedned.com" So I did not go further. If you find it boring, just skip it!! Some of us find it interesting if somewhat off topic and very much enjoy the stories and information given. And namazu has traveled to Thailand and surrounding countries and has shared extensively about those experiences and hopefully will continue to do so.

Maybe the increasingly bad air pollution in Bangkok will drive the bar owners out of Bangkok to Pattaya for the safety, health and well being of their families, employees and their customers!!

I love Kathmandu and Delhi and have visited many times, but now I cannot go since my lungs and immune system cannot handle the intense air pollution. Somehow I thought Thailand was too together to let that happen. I hope the government wakes up soon. It is such a beautiful, interesting and fun city. Of course, as long as Pattaya stays clean, I can just hop on the bus when I arrive and settle down in the Jomtien complex!!
