I am planning to book Airbnb in December. I have always stayed at hotels but this time decided to stay in Airbnb because of kitchen facilities. My regular Viet guy loves to cook (he watches cooking videos on Tiktok) and I would so love for him to cook for me. I have found two options close to bars at patpong and soi 4 - a walk up apartment in soi 6 and a condo unit in soi 3. Soi 6 walk up apartment is spacious but no pool or gym facilities. It would mean I have to pass by the massage shops in soi 6 every day. I reckon by end of week 1, the massage guys will know where I stay (and probably have gone inside with me!) Soi 3 condo unit is small. Typical one bedroom. But it has pool which is appealing to me. And I get to avoid the guys at soi 6! Which Airbnb should I choose?

So sorry that our schedule couldn't align! I enjoy going to bars with you @spoon

Business is booming at Freshboys! Well run no frills offing bar.

I am staying in Airbnb in December just to get a kitchen. I plan to get my guy to cook breakfast!
-
How did he end up at Good Boy bar?
-
Ah, Minh! Handsome fella. I finally got his name!
-
5k to 7k is for long time I presume?

Even though bars such as Jupiter and Dreamboys make much of their profits from customers ordering whisky bottles, it cannot do away with offs as their many Asian customers (both male and female) frequently take the guys off besides drinking with them. The guys are obviously happy with offs as they earn $$$! I believe its unlikely for any bar in Silom area to transform to a full show-only bar. Probably the one successful show-only bar that I can think of is Fake Club but that is far away from Silom and is mostly patronised by local Thais.

Good start with a guy from Good Boy!

I suspect even during high season in December that music bar opposite Foodland will still be lacking in customers!

I arrange with Jupiter guy in advance through Line. I just had to appear at door outside bar and tell mamasan I am offing him. Mamasan let me sit at sofa outside while he called the guy to come out. Of course, I tipped mamasan for his help!

Yes they will open with an outrageous number such as 2000 baht and then bargain down!
-
5 sessions for 2k baht = 400 baht each. That's tempting offer!

You can just ignore the messages. After a while, they will stop. I find it's convenient to have contacts.

I rather save energy and money for a longer holiday!

Thanks for report! With Thailand open attitudes, can expect more gay tourists for the businesses in future!

🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 so envious! How I wish I can be there!

I agree it's good to be generous. I normally buy a round of drinks plus 100 baht tip each for Hotmale beer bar waiters on my last night in Bangkok.

I went to Airbnb and searched for apartments around Saphan Kwai. Some nice apartments for less than $100 per night!
-
I was approached on the road one night by a guy walking in my opposite direction. He was with his group of friends. "Hello, how are you? Nice to see you!" he said cheerfully. I couldn't recognise him but I smiled back out of politeness. Later, I realise that I had gone to his massage shop. I had gotten a massage from his friend and he was there at same time. I didn't remember him but he remembered me!
-
Me too! If the shop has posted minimum tip, the guys who work there will not ask for 2000 baht tip in middle of massage!
-
But the guy feels good on stage when he has garland! Anyway, it's always been a spontaneous decision for me. Sometimes I just felt like giving.
-
With so many shops and guys available in Saphan Kwai area, perhaps it's time to consider staying in Airbnb in the area? 3 massages in one day will not be a problem!
-
That's me! My race is Chinese but I am from Singapore, not China. I do splurge occasionally on a garland at the bars.
-
I believe if shops in soi 6 specify tip upfront at counter before massage, the customers from China will gladly pay the tip. There is no tipping culture in China and first timers or even casual tourists from China who have visited Thailand a few times do not understand that the massage guys do not get paid much from shopowner but rely on tips.
