Enjoy Ibis Styles! I think it's a great location and has modern facilities. I stayed at Ibis Styles in May and July but I am staying at Raya this coming weekend.

Of course I can't do that! But I get up close and personal with handsome face!

I find it costs about the same as a drink in bar. And I get to chat with the guy more!

Happy Beer Garden is a nice place to eat as well. It is on Surawong Road directly opposite Raya Hotel. There are some small rooms for karaoke at the back. Fun to take guys to watch and hear them sing.

Not possible every weekend. Every month probably.

Why am I writing this trip report now? Because I am going back to Bangkok next weekend! So that's another trip report!

Sunday morning was spent lazing in room. I checked out at noon then crossed Silom Road to go to Sun Massage at soi 6. Sun Massage used to be known as Natural Massage. After change of ownership, the name was changed. One of the new co-owners used to own Sun Massage next to Tawan. I had made a booking with a guy upon recommendation of forum member and his recommendation was spot-on! This guy has probably the best body among all the guys in Silom Surawong area. He is muscular and even his back is well defined. I found out that he gyms regularly which explains his fantastic body. He also has a great attitude. I am adding him to my list of regular massage guys! After massage, I met forum member at Foodland for lunch and I thanked him for his recommendation. We chatted till 2pm then I made my way to airport to end off a terrific weekend!

The trick is to sit at chair facing the window. Also pay attention to doors and main entrance as guys can walk in to go to Foodland supermarket. Also need to sit at the right time. After the bars close at 1am. Possible to see guys from 7pm to 9pm. Some might have dinner at Foodland and that presents opportunity to chat with them and pay for their meals. Quite a number of guys will pass by at 9pm but they are in a rush to report to work.

In the end, we didn't find and buy the muay thai shorts at Patpong market. I realise that it's ultimately better without any shorts...

There were Muay Thai shorts for sale at the souvenir shop. I asked my guy if he would like a pair. He said no after finding out they cost between 1200 to 2000 baht. "I can buy in Patpong market. Cheaper."

If I could be with forum member for the rest of the evening, I would do so because I enjoy his company and we have had memorable adventures in the past. But my guy was waiting for me at 5.30pm after he finished work. We met and took a taxi to Rajendaram Stadium to watch Muay Thai. Our first time. I bought the cheapest seats at 1000 baht each which was free seating at the top level of the stadium. But it still provided a good view of the Muay Thai matches. The first match was at 7pm and the last match ended just before 10pm. My guy enjoyed himself tremendously. There were 3 KOs that Saturday night. Crowd was 90% foreigners, mostly Western tourists with some Asians. My guy and I made 100 baht bets on the matches against each other. He managed to pick the winners correctly. After muay thai, we took taxi back to hotel. We had an intimate two hours together then we went out for supper at 1am Foodland with forum member. While at Foodland, I saw a guy from Freshboy walk past outside the window. I waved to him and he came in to join us for supper. He's a popular guy and gets offed often. But tonight, he didn't get an off surprisingly. My guy had an enjoyable chat with him while I enjoyed looking at his very handsome face. The room at Ibis Styles had a window so there was natural light coming into the room during daytime. Better than the room I was assigned in May which had no window. Saturday morning passed by quickly. Breakfast at Foodland and lunch at local Thai boat noodles shop at nearby soi 3. I enjoyed a swim at the pool then in mid afternoon I met a forum member for coffee and chat about the latest happenings. He recommended some new staff at massage shop on Soi 6 and I took up one recommendation to make a booking for myself on Sunday noon before my flight back to Singapore in evening.

Forum member was already seated at G's when I finished my massage at 8.30pm. He got a great seat outside where we had fantastic view of people walking into soi 4. I saw 2 waiters I knew reporting to work at Circus and Jupiter. I called them over, chatted with them and gave them small tip. A waiter at Banana was so cute that I couldn't resist slipping him a 100 baht tip when we finished dinner and left. Forum member and I were joined by his friend who also came to Bangkok for few days. I met him a few years ago. Both of them are into massage scene. They recommended me many massage shops including a premium one with heated massage bed! After dinner, the 3 of us went off towards Freshboys. Since there were 3 of us and we would be calling down guys from stage and chatting with them, I decided to order a bottle of Chivas. 4000 baht. It was great value for money for a big group to drink. Each of us got a guy for the night. We stayed until midnight and watched the big cock show. 6 guys did big cock show. We tipped them all. Total 33 guys working on that particular Friday night according to mamasan. My regular guy was happy to see me. He knew in advance I would off him for 2 nights. He told me start of low season so many Vietnam guys went back. Freshboys once had more than half of its guys consisting of Vietnamese guys but tonight, there were only 8 guys - #1, #11, #16, #17, #21, #23, #38, #39. That's a quarter. Actually, there was a 9th Vietnamese guy working but he's the DJ! I suspected it because he slipped in some Vietnamese dance music. I asked my guy and he confirmed his nationality. He even introduced me to him and I tipped him. After leaving Freshboys. our group went to Foodland for supper. Overnight shift staff welcomed me back and gave me a "didn't he just come last month?" look. After supper, we went our separate ways back to hotel rooms.

it is now August. The weekend trip happened last month and I finally force myself to write a trip report. The trip was supposed to be in end July but it ended up in beginning of July because I found out that a forum member would be in Bangkok for a business trip. He would have weekend free after he finish with work. Once I found out, I changed the date of my trip. I had to pay some money to change air ticket but it was OK. I had not met forum member for 2 years. We normally meet in December but the past 2 years , our dates could not match up. With this trip, it would be my 5th trip this year. - February (2 nights) - March (5 nights) - Pattaya - May (3 nights) - birthday - June (5 nights) It would be my second 2-night weekend trip and I have become more experienced by now. I ended work early half day and made my way to airport directly from work. Landed in Bangkok at 6pm. Took airport train and then BTS to Silom. I chose to stay in Ibis Styles. After checking in, I crossed the road to soi 4 to meet regular massage guy at Adam Massage at 7.30pm. One hour massage then dinner with forum member at G's which is a few metres diagonally opposite.

You are a splendid customer! That's why your guy loves going out with you!

You are lucky that you have guys who wanted to go to other bars to watch the shows My guy does not like to go to other bars. He will of course go if customer requests it. But with me, I always look for activities which both of us enjoy. Watching muay thai boxing is one such activity we both recently discovered.

4k a day for holiday together seems fair price to pay.

2500 baht is the current short time rate for a guy from bar in Silom. And since short time generally means around 2 to 3 hours, to expect a guy to accept 2500 baht to stay with customer for one full day (even if it's for 2 weeks) is too little.

You can write a book based on your experiences!

I commend Atlas for diversifying their pool of guys. I saw at least 3 tall young twunks hanging outside their bar when I was directly opposite at Midnight beer bar last month. I subsequently saw a customer take two of them out. My regular guy at Freshboys tells me that some guys at his bar recently moved to Atlas because of better working conditions. I know the pay structure at Freshboys and I personally feel it's unfair. So that means the owners and management of Atlas are treating their guys decently! A good reason for us to patronise and support Atlas!

If you tell me, I will go for weekend just to meet you!

Why didn't you agree on the tip before you off them from bar? The guys nowadays do not see a difference between sex and drinking. They are offering their company and time. They expect 2000 to 2500 short time. I suspect some of them prefer sex because it's faster compared to a few hours of drinking.
