  1. Prelude It’s mid-afternoon, early evening, Wednesday. In nine hours, I’ll leave the Tarntawan for my 23 hour "commute"to the San Francisco Bay Area. I just said goodbye to Min, who has taken care of me these past two days. Well, he’s one of the guys who have taken care of me.... I arrived at 11pm, Tuesday last week. That was a 25 hour travel day...when I was packing, I looked of the planes scheduled to arrive at BKK the same time as my ANA flight and found two dozen flights, the majority from China. My mind reeled with the thought of the lines at immigration. I thank PaulSF for telling me how he is met on arrival, and I decided to book a service to meet me at the plane and ease my entry. Cost was $39 USD. I only had carry-on: a small suitcase and a backpack. From the time I stepped off the plane, walked the moving walkways, paused at immigration to smile at the camera, and out of customs was about 11 minutes. A friend arranged for a friend of his to meet me at Door 3, he was there, and I was on my way to The Raya Hotel. Quick check in, my room on the newly opened 3rd floor. Since it wasn’t yet midnight, I went to Twilight and saw a number of familiar faces. The familiar faces included the “customer grabbers” at Hot Male (who now have matching shirts), the waiters at Maxi’s, and Net and X from Hot Male Bar 2. It was nice to feel welcomed - even if it was somewhat transactional. I took the steps up to Hot Male go go. There is now a post midnight show and it was about to start so I told one boy who had been dry humping me as I climbed the stairs that I’d see him tomorrow (note: I never saw him again during the visit and hope he was offed by someone deserving for the whole time). Back to HM2, some drinks with Net and X. Net and I have some history from a visit in the Spring. He is lots of fun in private and open to at least anything I’ve come up with. So we adjourned to The Raya and explored the newly furnished room and a few other things. I thanking the travel gods for the inspiration to find a way (legal) to minimize the time at Swampy. Last few visits, I wouldn’t get to town before 1am or later when even Screwboys was locking up. When I planned this visit, I knew that it would be definitely different than past visits. For anyone who has perused some of my other reports, Van, my Vietnamese companion, perpetual off, and helper in finding me other companions, isn’t part of the visit. He’s out of the business (he was part of the rotation and show at Hot Male - and is still in it’s Thai Puan ads). He’s working back in Vietnam with his own business. So, I’m a butterfly for the eight days I’m in Thailand. Three days in Bangkok, two in Pattaya, and three more back in Bangkok. One general note: I pay for services at the going market rate. So short time in Bangkok is 2000 THB, long-time 3000. In Pattaya, it’s 1500 for short time and I didn’t discuss long time, though the Toy Boys mamasan said 2000 plus. Another note is that I generally get along with the mamasans. This is something, I share with Numazu. I use them for information on the boys, where they are from, what the do or don’t do, etc. Cost is usually a drink. Caveat, there is at least one mamasan that drives me up a wall, but I solve that by not going to her club. And...this trip would have been less successful without the PMs I've had with Reader, DivineMadman, and PaulSF. Now 23 hours to home and continuing this report
  2. I tip the housekeeper each day. I learned from a hotel employee that in many cases the housekeeper who checks the room while I’m at the lobby desk completing checkout, will take the tips left for the one who did the cleaning. When possible I hand the tip directly to the housekeeper.
  3. Only 3 boys last night at 9:45.
  4. I’m at Poseidon at the moment and will head to Tarntawan tomorrow. Jomtien complex is in the midst of a renaissance (?) with new restaurants, a number of new bars, a wine store, and top level French style bread and pastry shop. Last night, the noise from the street was not blocked by the sound proofing and went on until 7am as one the bars was celebrating it’s 3rd anniversary and kept the party going. Not posting as a complaint as I like bar and was pulled in this morning as I went for my croissant walk. Poseidon is known for Chef Bart’s cooking. Tasty and beautifully presented in a white table cloth environment. Caution - the food is of a European bent with large portions. Example, last night schnitzel, beef steaks, pork cordon blue, and liver&onions were on the menu. Delicious but heavy - especially in August. If visit contains a Saturday the manager hosts a drinks party for guests.
  5. I arrived at Swampy at 11:15 last night. Thanks to some preplanning - the details of which I’ll put in a later report - I arrived at the Raya, checked into one of the new 3rd floor rooms and was at Twilight by 12:20. Very quiet on the soi. Let at HM bar #2 greeted me with a kiss and a grope. Checked out Hot Male upstairs and was greeted and ‘humped’ most of the way up - few customers, lots of very good looking guys looking for customers. Waiters and boss man settling the accounts in one corner and boys still rotating on stage. More than I could handle after 25 hours of travel. Offed Let who is a known quantity and willing to ease my jet lag.
  6. Sideagra is available at the pharmacy across from Twilight....its in 100 milligram form, definitely less expensive than Viagra. Consider this an addendum to DivineMadman's post which I agree with - I'll be in Bangkok for a week starting next Wednesday and I'll pretty much adhere to his suggested ways to spend my days. I also stop at Excelsior and have some shirts/slacks made while I'm in Bangkok. This trip, I'll spend the weekend in Pattaya between stays in the capital city. Enjoy your visit. I'm usually at Maxi's for at least one drink a night.
  7. Most excellent report...thanks
  8. From Moonlight Facebook page today
  9. Ah, yes...the favorite waiter at Maxi’s..sigh.
  10. Hot Male is the bar on the left at the Surawong entrance to Twlight. The persuasive gent wants to get customers upstairs to the show to buy drinks there and off a boy(s), if customers don’t go up the stairs, or sit at the bar, then as DivineMadman notes, the sofa seating is another Hot Male enterprise and the enterprising waiters are “available”. And, Moonlight is also part of the Hot Male business empire.

    APP. USAGE

Being of a "certain mature" age, I've found having an up to date photo and an accurate age posted on Planet Romeo brings lots of money boy attention to my Thailand. In China same is true of Blued.
  12. Agree with the above recommendations/suggestions. Last year, I had a long time off staying with me at the Raya. Went out to Screwboys, met someone of enough attraction to off but needed to sort out logistics, mentioned it to the mamasan, and after a few words of information, mamasan took my new friend and me to Pavilion Place!
  13. I'll be in Pattaya for a weekend later this month. I booked The Poseidon where I've stayed on my last three visits. Very helpful staff, involved (in a positive way) manager, comfortable and sound proofed rooms, and incredible food. I stopped comparison pricing last year and just email Heiko my travel dates. (I email early if visit is in a high season). For this August's weekend visit, junior suite 2,000 baht/night.
  14. A shout out to Reader...who updates us, informs us, and entertains...he is near to winding up a Thailand visit before taking a break in the USA and then heading back to Bangkok...this forum would be less enjoyable and certainly less informed without his posts.
  15. Report on how you like Bandara, I'm considering staying there in September.
  16. Keep reporting...your insights on Jomtien would be helpful for my next visit.
  17. As with any maths formula - experiential use will only improve its utility. One more round of adaption and It'll be ready for the Fields Medal ( that's mathematics version of the Nobel prize).
  18. Correction - offshoot of X-size. Not X-boys
  19. It’s called G-Boy an offshoot of X-Boys. It’s been mentioned in some reports but not sure if anyone has reported on the venue and show.
  20. When I first reported on Moonlight, ever so long ago, I noted the quality was there but it was starting slowly as some of the staff were wearing Jupiter logos. There’s been constant upgrading, the show is more styled, recruitment of guys is remarkable. Just check out the nightly Facebok broadcasts. And, a Moonlight is the offspring of Hot Male (!). The transfer of Teight across Surawong!
  21. I thought the cardinal sinner was in Washington...and then the one in Australia
  22. Welcome back, have an enjoyable fun time, and continue noting the changes you see...lessens the number of unneeded surprises for my next Bangkok jaunt. Question - any particular reason you chose to fly west from JFK rather than east?
  23. Monger Index - I love it!
  24. Thanks for the report...it’s the filigree of the details that make your trip spinning a cut above most others (e.g. mine). I think you are the first to mention that X-Boys is now G-boy. Looks to be close to Moonlight. Oh, agree with you on Excelsior Tailors, they’ve been my Bangkok shop stop for longer than I want to remember.
