Along with having a GPS, I have used some of the products by Thinknet. Excellent! And several of their products are sold at Bookazine. http://www.thinknet.co.th/06/eng/home.html

I've got my own board to worry about now, so I'm not going to volunteer, but I have an idea I bet would go over REAL big: HeyGay, wanna be a moderator? I do have one suggestion, and I don't mean to upset anyone, but unless they have quietly left, you have a couple of moderators who never moderate, one of whom not only never moderates, but never even posts - at least not under his moderator name. If it were me, they would be demoted in favor of people who, if they want to be moderators, will actually do something. Other than GT, the only one I ever see trying to do anything is z909.
-
Unless something has changed, the moderators here have always had the authority to unilaterally set posts to invisible. As a moderator, when you see posts that are causing problems for the board, you not only should have the authority to set offending posts to invisible, but you have the duty to do so. If your hands are being tied in that respect, then I fail to see the point of being a moderator.

I don't know exactly where since I don't know Bangkok all that well, but I would want to be somewhere with easy access to the Skytrain or BTS, preferably also close to the places in Bangkok I am most likely to frequent. I would not want to drive any more than necessary in Bangkok, but I would like to be in an area with relatively easy access to expressways. That said, I'm kind of like GaySacGuy in that, for me, Bangkok is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. I usually try to go to Bangkok, just as a change of pace, every month or every other month for a few days. I usually have a good time when I'm there, but quite frankly three or four days there is plenty for me and I'm always glad to get back to Pattaya. Of course, that feeling might change if I ever get to know more about Bangkok and what it has to offer. Obviously there is far more to Bangkok and living in Bangkok than I know. But so far there has been nothing I want to do in Bangkok that can't be done during the times I visit.

I wonder if he is any relation to the good reverend Phelps.

Actually it was Khortose who was the recipient of that remark. You forgot to include the fact that I later posted a public apology to him, on this forum, which he accepted. Laurence left because he knew he was about 1 post away from being thrown out. I've misjudged you. Until now I thought you were a pretty good guy and I was disappointed you chose not to register on my board. After reading this post, now I'm glad you didn't. I'd appreciate it if you keep it that way. People who alter "facts" to suit their own agenda are precisely the kinds of people I don't want. Considering I am no longer a moderator on this board, and you knew that, you conjure up this post, getting it wrong of course, as a totally unprovoked put-down. You even spent time hunting up that cartoon. This board is welcome to you - or maybe a better way to put it is this board is stuck with you.

I don't know if I am a sex addict or not, but if I have to be addicted to something, I'll take it!

I'm not surprised. It's fine when it's somebody else's post disappearing, but when one's own post disappears, now you would think you committed a crime that should merit you a death by slow torture penalty. I've lost count of how many times I was accused of deleting posts because "I disagreed with GB." That, actually, was never the reason. Not even once. But try to convince those people they had written an inappropriate post, which always was the actual reason. Good luck. As far as I'm concerned, there's only one way to deal with the kinds of responses I know you received. It's not giving a good goddam whether they like it or not.

Whether the restaurant is open . . .

I certainly did not vote for Gaybutton. I wouldn't want to eat with him.

You're going to be a busy man. If nothing else, my experience has taught me that getting people to stick to the topic is one of the most difficult things to do. An awful lot of people seem to think rules and requests apply to everyone except themselves.
-
If you do open a bar you have to do one little thing. Consult me to make sure it is staffed entirely with my type. To hell with the rest . . .
-
Those would be the rare exceptions I'm talking about. The rest is useless.
-
Actually I don't see much point in holding onto posts that are older than a year. Who is going to read them? While I realize that some people do searches that might include posts that were submitted shorty after the Big Bang, but I would think with rare exceptions all very old posts are doing is taking up drive space.

This is where the waiters fail to think. If it was me, I would have made you wait 15 minutes, then given you the bill, waited another 20 minutes before coming to collect the money, and then taken at least 15 more minutes to return the change. Of course, if I was really out to have a good time, once I brought the change, I would have made sure to have short-changed you. That would have been good for another half hour at least . . .

Thanks to all who attended Gay Thailand Meet and Greet in Sunee Plaza
Gaybutton replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
I certainly enjoyed it and for me it was also nice to put to rest the absurd rumor that's been going around that there is some sort of animosity between GT and me. I like Pattayamale's idea of meet-and-greets elsewhere in Thailand. He's right. No law says it always has to be Pattaya. All it takes is for someone in other areas of Thailand to take the initiative to say let's have a meet-and-greet and here's when and where we'll have it. It doesn't take a sponsor. Everyone can pay his own way. -
At the moment I'm a "definite maybe." I'm planning to be there if I can, but I do have a conflicting commitment. If I can get things changed around, I plan to be there.
-
I have to admit, this is a first. I had to use Google Translate to read GT's post. Usually I have to do that for his English . . . Of course, oddly enough, even when you use Google Translate it still doesn't tell you which soi it's on. And I also have to admit, a map that doesn't even show where the place is, definitely is a big help. Turn at the McDonald's near Big-C. Would that be a right or left turn? But we're narrowing it down. Now we know it's somewhere near Big-C. There are, of course, two Big-Cs in Pattaya and there is a McDonald's approximately the same distance from both, but we're getting there . . .

You know what might be a good idea? Posting where NAB is. I haven't seen a post yet, including their own web site and the Thai Visa site, where anyone thinks to at least mention its location. It's in Pattaya. Now go and find it. How about someone telling us where it is . . .
-
Did you know there is one right here in Pattaya at Central Festival, called Zico's? It's about 900 baht or so, but it's very good and the quality is comparable to ones I have been to to in Brazil. If you do a Google search for "Churrascaria Pattaya" several reviews will come up.
-
I can't think of the name of it off the top of my head, but that Japanese restaurant with the food coming around on a conveyor belt is also timed. There's one on the 6th floor of Central and another branch at the Lotus on Sukhumvit and Thepprasit. I hate to tell you this, but as for learning something new every day, that is not true. Yesterday I didn't learn anything new . . .

Merci. I don't know how I managed to miss that, but I did. Ok, I do know where the Kitchen shop is, so they're about to sell a springform pan.
-
Thank you very much. I can't wait to try both of them. I have two questions: 1. Do you know where I can buy a springform pan? 2. In both recipes you say to bake in a preheated oven. I have no idea what the temperature should be. What is your recommendation?
-
Perfect! I'm looking forward to trying them both.

No, I actually paid $2.99 for that. I'm also using $90 as a round figure. It actually cost me a few dollars less. It would cost me the same amount if I also included a web site. I wasn't asking about hiring photographers and writing articles. I was asking about the actual cost of registering your domain name and web hosting service.
