According to mamasan farangs generally don’t appreciate boys with tattoos but Chinese customers don’t mind them at all. Maybe it’s a cultural thing.

I must have been really absent minded or had suffered a minor heat stroke. A couple of weeks ago at Jupiter, when I checked bill, I somehow managed to overpay 4,000 Baht! My usual mamasan brought a bill and I checked and agreed the bill came to 4,200 Baht and I paid the exact amount, 4 X one thousand baht note and 2 X one hundred note. And yet a couple of minutes later the mamasan and waiter came back with a bill and money. I thought they were going to say it’s short of money but to my amazement they told me I gave 8,200 Baht instead of 4,200 Baht. At first I couldn’t believe it but when I checked my wallet I realised they are right and I somehow handed 8 X 1,000 notes since I alway go out with the same number of 1,000 notes every night. The mamasan said “ I good boy “. Haha I had to agree.

You were very unlucky. I don’t think he was booked every night last couple of weeks. There was a new boy #21 a Cambodian boy who is tall and extremely handsome in a classic way. He started work at Jupiter 2 month ago.

He has the most amazingly beautiful athlete body and his smile melts the audiences hearts. lol Jokes aside, his hula hoop show alone is well worth 300 Baht in my opinion. He is extremely popular and has had double offs per night three nights last week. However according to him he is not the most popular guy in Jupiter. The most popular boy is #55 who was solidly booked whole last week and there was a very dissapointed customer.

There were 37 boys at weekend. Mamasan told me there were many new boys from Cambodia and Vietnam but no Thais. According to the mamasan, Thai boys prefer to work at massage place these days. I have no idea if it’s true.

The reason of rumours of a heavy police presence was because yesterday was the first day of the new police chief of Bangrak police station which covers Thaniya, Patpong and Soi Twilight. The new chief is 39 years old and girl bar owners are concerned police might get stricter on sex industries. Last night at Thaniya, there were apparently no bar girls seen on the street usually they are sitting in front of their bars with mamasans inviting curious tourists.

I know a Jupiter boy who refuses to go with female customers. Apparently he refused 10,000 Baht offer from a female customer. He does go with them if it’s only dancing and drinking though.

Last night, I had a chat with a couple of boys who moved from Jupiter to Moonlight. I asked how things over there, he said it’s great. Moonlight pays boy 100 Baht per show while Jupiter pays 200Baht. A Cambodian boy said although they pay less than Jupiter, he gets 8 shows a night including a big cock show. While at Jupiter he wasn’t a star but at Moonlight he is now a main guy so with show money he gets 1,000 Baht per night without any offs.

Jupiter and Moonlight were also affected. As soon as I entered Jupiter last night, mamasan told me that “Today not many boys. No Cambodian and Vietnamese boys working” Also at Moonlight, apparently non-Thai boys did not work last night. I met a Cambodian boy who used to work at Jupiter by chance at Thaniya. When I asked where you work he said Boys66 now Moonlight. He said he couldn’t work there tonight. So I said because of The police? He told me to keep quiet and looked around! lol At the Thaniya street food shop, the boss waiter said there should not be any Alcohol serving,( if you don’t have a license?)at the table at all Silom area because of the police presence too.

On the topic of foreign exchange, a Jupiter boy showed me one 100USD note and one 10GBP note which he was given as a tip by a customer who seems run out of Thai Baht. I didn’t know boys accept foreign money. lol The money he received was equivalent of 3,500 Baht.

Visited Jupiter last night, Friday. At the door, it says - Entrance Ticket 300 Baht includes one drink. Show Time 10:15 The place was packed at 10:30 with younger Asian customers and a few farangs. There were 30 boys on display. Most of the show boys were there, including 73, 88, 43, 44, 25,88, 55, 56 and 4 notable absence was hula hoop boy 9 and 39,27,15. The tall boy Bang 69 who supposed to have gone back home for good to Chaing Mai was back again as he says “no money”. He now wears #50 since some other boy took his number. He has a new Yakuza type Japanese themed tattoos on the shoulder. Very thin mustache seems to be in fashion among Jupiter boys. Mekhin, Ahm and Ice wear them. I am not sure about this. The first thing that they told me was the news of the closures of Soi Twilight. How fortunate that they don’t work for the gogo bars at the Soi.
