No pictures yet, but I am reliably informed that today's re-opening of Winner Boys was a great success. Between fifteen and sixteen boys in the bar, and dancing in underwear! Quite a few 'offs' reported and most boys saying they got 5 or 6 drinks each. So a steady flow of customers. Lets hope that this is only the start of the bar's recovery.

Winner Boys set to Re-Open 1st June (Thai English of course haha) Great news, for those of you in Thailand anyway, Winner Boys in Sunee Plaza will re-open inside this coming week on 1st June from 7pm till midnight. What’s more we are promised twinks in small pants dancing on stage again (no jeans). Technically Winner Boys has never completely closed, although that was certainly threatened in the depths of Covid regulations. But it has been well over a year since it was open inside with boys dancing on stage in their underwear. (Boss Paul standing in blue shirt. A nice guy, please say Hi to him if you visit) Latterly it has only been open outside at small tables set out into the plaza. Many boys had gone home and only a handful were there on a daily basis, some actually sleeping inside the bar at nights as they had no money for a room. Great lads though and some fun nights outside there in recent holidays (I was last there in April), but its not the same as near naked boys in underwear (sometimes micro underwear). Hopefully some of you in Pattaya can make your way to this bar in the next few days and encourage more of the boys to return; just wish I was there to enjoy it with you! Looked in a few weeks ago in April, very reminiscent of G-Star which is should be being essentially the same site and in turn reminiscent of the late lamented Nab Club. Show still a bit toned down with the Covid restrictions, but still big-cock men in thin briefs and soda water. Great for hunk lovers but not so much for twink lovers. Usual small tables, whisky bottles, soda and shots.

It was still 'work in (slow) progress' in April and everything was still open normally in the old bar - and thank goodness IMHO! My cynical mind thinks that it has been more about money and less about public health for some time

To add to my previous post, I would describe Nice Boys as a 'hidden gem', a relic of the glory days of Sunee Plaza. It offers hands-on fun at modest prices. You can go in some days and it is buzzing - plenty of boys on stage, a number of customers. Other days there you might find yourself the only customer and maybe only three or four boys lounging on the sofas at the far end of the stage or even asleep on the seating on the far side of the bar and your temptation would be to turn around and leave. Don't! There is fun to be had on both scenarios. For the former, in a busy bar, just join in, although keep in mind that the more popular boys with probably have cum at least once already that night - not that that will stop them trying again of course. For the second, drinks all round and/or tips and they will not only wake up but you will be their centre of attention. Maybe even splash-out on a small bottle of whisky and watch their clothes fall off and their cocks harden around you and who knows what will happen. I have spent memorable nights in Nice Boys under both scenarios. I have frequently gone in with two or three other gay boys who also happily join in the fun, stroking and sucking the Nice Boys boys; you can easily get quite a little party going. One slight word of caution is that they still use the wooden bar bins and chits of paper for every order and your 'bin' can mount-up. I rarely get out of there with a bin of less than a 1,000 baht and on one memorable night, I went in with my little gang, left with a couple of extra boys for the night, and my bin was just about 6k baht plus my various tips to the boys themselves, but that included off-fees and whisky. Absolutely no regrets about my bins here, but I would advise having enough in your wallet to enjoy yourself if things start to take-off (so to speak). The management have seen it all before, and as the cum starts to fly, the papasan will casually walk around depositing toilet rolls on your tables to help mop us 🤣 For my debauched little mind, this is currently my absolute favourite bar in Pattaya; but you have probably already guessed that 😂

Nice Boys has its own Web Page and Facebook page, Opening 8pm - or thereabouts, and officially open until 12 I think ..... Sometimes only a handful of boys on stage, sometimes a dozen or more - they are freelancers and it depends on the time and on the day as to who you find inside. Less boys now that were commonplace pre-Covid. No underage!, most in their 20s, occasionally one or two 30 or more. These are all straight boys, often with day jobs, wives and GFs; all 'gay for pay'. Drinks, yours and the boys 200 baht each. The boys are not shy, well most of them - it takes new arrivals a week or two to loose their shyness. Pre-covid they wore just their pants on stage which would drop to their knees at the slightest encouragement. Now they wear jeans, but their belts usually hang loose. If you call them off the stage they would expect you to buy them a drink and they will mostly drop their pants and produce their cock for you to look at and play with. No fixed tip pricing, but a handling of their cock I give 100 baht, if I play with it for a period or suck it (yep that's ok), then maybe 200, but if they chuck-wow for you and cum then 300 baht is the expected tip. Lots of wriggle room as to individual requests. Last time I was in there were a couple of ladyboy customers with a bottle of whisky and one of the cuter boys completely naked parading around the bar, from their seats to the stage etc. Never did work out for sure what they paid him for that, but I think 500 baht? Off fees are three or four hundred baht, I can't recall specifically. Boy's fees in your room negotiable, I usually pay 2,000 baht for a visit be it ST or LT and never had any of them ask for more, although maybe an extra 100 baht for a taxi bike. Your trouble will be finding the bar; its on Soi VC backing onto Sunee rather than in the plaza itself; but trust me, it is worth the search. I have had many great nights both alone and with accompanying friends in Nice Boys!

Since this thread has already gone wildly off-topic I will wade in again. The straight boys working as money boys in the Pattaya bars, are, in my experience just as happy to be offed by a female customer as a male one. Which is fine as the female customers are looking for the straight guys rather than twinks. So in Boyztown, Cupidol (yes now closed) used to be mostly twinks and you rarely saw a female customer. BoyzBoyzBoyz always has a mixture of male and female customers. As indeed, to a lesser extend did Toy Boys which was a mixture of gay and straight boys; in fact Toy Boys makes the distinction in saying that it is a Boy Bar as opposed to a Gay Bar. I have also seen male and female customers (even a family with children one time) in XBoys even with the shower and boom boom shows. Less female customers to be see in Jomtien Complex, although I have seen a few. Sunee, and Nice Boys - welcomes all customers and the boys can be taken off by both male and female customers; Winner Boys less so as that is known to be a twink heaven. Conversely, in the karaoke bars, the boys there expect mostly female customers, but most are happy enough to be called down by gay customers for drinks and maybe more. This has always been the case I think, but especially in these Covid times I doubt anywhere would be turning away customers with money to spend.

I meant that pre-covid, we were only a minority of the sex tourists, and certainly in terms of overall tourism. Perhaps 'tiny bit' was an exaggeration, but certainly a minority. They publish, or used to publish, annual figures on where their tourists had travelled from. I recall Indian and SEA formed the bulk of their numbers?

Unlike some previous posters I am definitely of the 'glass half full' persuasion. I was in Pattaya for New Year and again last week. I have to tell you that the City is already more 'open for business' now than it was in January. Inevitably on this forum we look at the gay night life of Pattaya from the point of view of farang, but we are a tiny part of the sex tourism of the City and arguably not that representative of the whole. My hotel sits on Soi 6, in January 50% of the bars were open, by the end of last week when I left again, it was near 80%. The more popular bars were rammed with the sound of bells being rung, party balloons out here and there. Walking Street was almost dead in January, but this trip much more was open, maybe 50% of the agogos for example. The Beer Garden was open again, and even the little bars between it and Beach Road were repopulating. Soi Bukhow was buzzing, particularly Tree Town with just about every bar open and in full swing - although I agree overall not as busy as in previous years, though some bars certainly were. Boyztown itself seemed about 50% open, Toy Boys remains closed but according to some of the boys who work there, likely to re-open next month. BBB was busy although the 'sexy shows', still more muted than in the past. Pikky Bar, Castro, etc not exactly full of customers but open with boys about. I suspect BT relies much more heavily on the Chinese market than it does on the farang - but others may disagree. Just outside BT itself, A-Bomb was discretely open, Dream Boys more openly open. X-Boys remained 'restaurant' only but again with reports that it would re-open inside next month. In Jomtien Complex, just about every bar that could be open was open, with Home Bar and Sun Bar in particular doing a roaring trade. The Venue had its shows back on and there were a series of 'street party/shows' on most nights, sponsored by one bar or another. Elsewhere in the town Thai shops and businesses were mostly open, a number of the closed 7/11s had re-opened. Even the McDonalds at the the bottom of Soi 6 had re-opened - although closing at 10pm. Most massage shops were open again, although the ones, down Second Road, opposite Alazar are abandoned and seemingly awaiting demolition. My advice, for what it is worth, is ignore the doom-merchants and get yourselves back over there; Pattaya is steadily re-opening for business!

Just back from a couple of weeks in Pattaya over Songkran (or what passed for Songkran yet again). More open, and for longer than in January, and lots of fun to be had. Jomtien Complex is the busiest and most visible gay area and regularly patrolled and visited by police to ensure compliance with the current regulations, similarly BoyzTown although less open here. Sunee is very quiet and the few bars there linger on, but is still my favourite location. Winner Boys is open outside, with six or more of the regular twink boys sitting outside at tables, happy to chat, flirt and go off with you if you want. Nice Boys sits in virtual darkness along a dark stretch of Soi with only boss Beer sitting outside. At first sight you might think it closed, but inside, the straight boys, as many as ten of them on one visit, anxious to do what they do best to 'entertain' you haha. The whole location of Sunee is more discrete and less likely to get police interest. Aside from that, the Thai night clubs, Dragon (G-Star) and of course Sinlapin Isan, thrive and are open until around 1.30 to 2 am. Sinlapin was packed almost every night I went there. And when that finally closes, the karaoke bars are still open until 3 or 4am or later. Version was generally busy, and at my favourite, Friendly, we were usually fighting to get even the smallest table space, and with twenty or thirty 'host boys' available to be called down. So yes, go, go, go! There is plenty of fun and boys to be found in Pattaya; you will have a great time!

The activity you report from BT, Sunee and JC mirrors what I have heard from elsewhere. Although I would say 9pm is early for Sunee and it does get a little better a little later, but the place seems to hang on by its fingernails as ever.

An interesting thread and one in which I could probably contribute when I can give it a little more thought as I have a number of 'regulars' who I have known over the years. I am booked for January, but this is an obvious concern and although my initial reaction was to cancel everything, have an immediate nervous breakdown and then join a monastery, I try and look at it like this: We are stuck with this pandemic/endemic - its not going to go away any time soon, if ever, and mutations will come and go, some being of more concern than others. So I either join that monastery and commit to an ongoing life of perpetual celibacy, or else I proceed with my trip, and maybe subsequent ones next year, and accept the fact that everything is fluid and subject to possible change until I am on the flight itself, and then just hope that I can enjoy my stay and return home without interruptions.

A question please guys, with apologies if I have missed the answer. How soon can you apply for a Thailand Pass for your holiday? So for example if I book a flight later this month for a holiday in early January say, and given that I then put in place all the other things I have to complete, such as insurance etc., how soon am I allowed to apply for the pass?
