  1. Unfortunately for Thai guys - they are not easy to satisfy when it comes to food if the food is not Thai food. I had the same problem when I lived in Italy for 12 years. I stopped going on vacations outside of Italy with Italians when they packed pasta and tomatoe sauce to cook in Spain because they told me that Italian cuisine is number 1 in the world. For me, when I travel, I want to have the experience of the local cuisine.
  2. I think the answer to your question is already in your question. A Thai immigration official is only going to look at and validate only those stamps from Thai immigration. They won't care about the Philippine government's immigration stamps in my passport. I would not want to risk this - it is too imoortant to me from a financial point of view. I would rather be a pain in the ass at the airport and ask to not use the automated gate system.
  3. NO This is also my same worry. Consequently, I told him to bring many of his favotite HOT spicy chili mixes with him to Vietnam so that he can add them to the various non spicy, but yummy, Vietnam dishes when we go out eating in Da Nang. He told me, please get us a nice AirBnB condo with a good kitchen so that he can ocassionally prepare his favorite spicy dish = Som Tam (Papaya salad). He loves to cook. We are currently in his hometown Sukhothai for a family emergency (his 88 year old grandmother fell down and violently hit her head on the floor and is now partially paralyzed), and yesterday at breakfast with his family and one of his best friends, he ordered a Vietnamese dish ( this is a very traditional Thai restaurant, so I am quite surprised ), that it was on the menu. He looked me in the eyes in front of everyone and said to me: Should we order this dish honey, since we are going to Vietnam soon? I was quite surprised and at the same time impressed by him. Of course when it was served he poured hot spices onto it. So, we could do the same in Da Nang and survive? 🤔🤔
  4. Very interesting points that you make --> which in my mind would require a survey to understand this phenomena better. I would be curious to learn what % of our readership here in our gayguides.com forum would fall into the category = Low expectations of gay men I would argue that it would be LOW, because most of our chats here in this forum are about our physical incarnate encounters. If true, where are these gays with low expectations in the bigger world?? 🤔 Is it the younger generation that is ok with getting off with a wank watching a straight guy who is wanking in the virtual internet space for a paid subscription fee (i.e., OnlyFans)? If yes, what will happen to these straight virtual stars when their to-be virtual AI created brethren enter into this current business model?
  5. @dellboy I can recommend the below 3 Italian restaurants that are nearby, just outside of the gay Jomtien Complex (aka Supertown). Salotto Totò La Bocca There are many more, but they would require a little bit more walking. https://www.gaysupertown.com/dining The above link lists the other many restaurants that can be found in Supertown.
  6. But you did not see it cumming.... 💦🤪😛
  7. @Olddaddy I just completed getting 2 e-visas for my upcoming 130 day trip to Vietnam. It is rather easy. We both got our approval letters after 3 working days. The hardest part of the application was how to describe my Thai boyfriend's employment - he is an ex money boy. I crowned him as a "Personal Care Assistant". It seems to have worked. Both for the maximum allowed - for a tourist visa = 90 days. My Thai boyfriend can get 30 days visa free on arrival and I can get 45 days visa free on arrival if I use my Italian passport. But I went for the more expensive 90 day tourist visa for the both of us, as it entitles us to multiple entries - as he wants to be able to go back to Thailand 1 or 2 times during our first 90 days.
  8. And this is why I LOVE you Mr. @vinapu !!! Please NEVER change your sense of humour. You bring us so much joy here in our forum 🤩
  9. Very sage advice. In January 2024, I was finally able to meet a very sexy guy from Hat Yai, during my 2 week stay in Songkhla. For many months prior, I was crazy for him with his daily erotic Twitter (X) postings. He was so my type. I wrote to him several times but he never replied to my Twitter DMs. By sheer luck, one of my 2 local sexy tour guides was friends with him and arranged that he came to see me at my Songkhla bungalow. That meeting was simply fantastic and more than the fantasies that I had created in my mind. 2 months later, I flew him up to Pattaya to stay with me for 4 days. During our time together the sex was awful, in fact, he never had an orgasm, no matter how much I tried. He was not acting like the same person that I got to know back in Songkhla 2 months prior. He was Dr. Jeckell & Mr. Hyde. When I pushed him about why? His reply was a big slap in the face. He said to me: You are my first (and last) farang customer. He said that prior to me, ALL of his customers had been Thai or Malay (Hat Yai is down near the Thai-Malay border). He told me that us farangs have a smell, that he finds repugnant. I was devastated - as I believe that I am a very clean and hygenic person. But, I appreciated his honesty - as it explained why it was great in Songkhla (a short 2 hour meeting) but in our 4 days in Pattaya it was not. He told me that he believes that us farangs "stink" because of our diet. He is the first person in my entire life to tell me this. So, I learned a VERY expensive lesson about trying to recreate the "magic" of our first amazing encounter....
  10. I truly love these historical details about how things came to be in the Pattaya gay scene. Searching on JL's name, I stumbled on this historical tidbit that was written over in the Asean Now forum about the "birth" of the gay scene in Pattaya --> up to the point that JL took over....truly fascinating... https://aseannow.com/topic/19345-the-first-gay-venue-in-pattaya/
  11. Yes, I agree. You also need to consider the ups and downs of the curreny(ies) that your pensions/investments are paid in versus your host retirement currency (i.e. devaluation of your home currency). And another big unknown = will your host country tax the money that you bring into your host country? Or worse yet, will your host retirement country decide to tax your global income and assets?
  12. September will be my third anniversary as a "new" retiree here in Jomtien. --> at what point are we not new retirees anymore? My biggest monthly budget line item are the guys, and after that, the condo rent. The budget that I made for myself before I left Europe to move here is not respected and my actual budget is 2 times what I anticipated. So, make a budget and double it and that is probably the to be real cost to retire here.
  13. Well they lost my patronage - as I am not a big drinker (being drunk negates my sexual performance). I would much rather spend my money on the boys and the opportunity to get up close and personal with them and to see some flesh, to help me make my choice. @orson I totally agree with your comparison with the Philippines type of gogo boy bar experience as I reported in January 2025 in my recent 62 day trip to Cebu in the Philippines.
  14. Not only the very expensive off fee at BBB, but also: - ear damaging high decibels ear piercing music, - guys fully dressed - long gone are the days of guys torso nude, with many warming up and pumping up their muscles on the outside gym, before doing the sexy catwalk on the stage showing off their masculine assets, - marketing focus change from us farangs to now female Asian customers, who prefer that their on stage guys are fully dressed and will come down from the stage when called upon to drink with them and keep them company, - cancellation of the all so fun 9pm red carpet BBB sexy parade march out on the main Boyztown street/alley.
  15. Oops, I apologize. I was that person that you write about. I had never taken the Jomtien bus to the airport before your kind bootcamp training adventure. 🙏😇👍
  16. But he does not like to walk, so he will probably need to take one of the many car services to Bangkok that have been discussed here ad nauseaum.
  17. Around the pool you can sit outside - but note that the amount of time that arwa is exposed to the sun is limited by the surrounding higher walls of the hotel/sauna structure.
  18. On Mondays and Tuesdays, it is closed, because the boys are rehearsing for your eventual entertainment pleasure.
  19. Hmm I have heard this before from you.... And usually you try to resolve this "boredom" by transferring yourself to Bangkok.... Then you can dance the night away at DJ Station in BKK. Before you headoff to BKK did you try dancing at The Sun Bar? -> inside behind the smoked glass....
  20. The secret with getting a good viewing seat to see any of the 3 Cabaret Shows, is to: 1.) Go the day before and book a good seat for tomorrow, 2.) Go the same day of the day that you want to see a show in the late afternoon --> after 4pm --> and do your booking then. Option 2 has worked the best for me because: 1.) The bar is empty, 2.) The manager can let you pick your table from those that are not already pre-reserved. I personally love the tables that are directly in front of the stage, because you will become actively involved with the performers (as they tend to interact more with those sitting in the first row) during the show - thus rendering your experience to be more exciting. If you go at the last minute then you might not even get a seat, or if you do, the seat may not give you an optimal view of the show. Also note that if you don't have 100 baht bank notes the bars can change your 1.000 baht bank note for smaller denominated 100 baht notes which are perfect if you want to get up close and personal with the performers. They love it!!
  21. I would say, that in the future when you will use those Japanese phrases, your heart will get a warm sensation, as you show off your future Japanese talents and you will look back on those memories as that wonderful time that you were able to share with your Japanese guy..... For me, I get the same sensation when I hear certain music that I have associated in my memory banks with fond memories or with people that I have loved (or still love). Is it painful for me when I hear that music again in the future? Yes, but I would never trade those memories with NOT ever having had that experience in the first place. In my opinion, this is the beauty of life - that these memories enrich us and make us a better person.....
  22. It seems to be gaining momentum and popularity.... Does it fit in with the new societal mantra that Pattaya is a family friendly destination now ?
  23. Now if only they would reinstate the former 1 year visa that they used to offer citizens from the USA prior to the Covid pandemic ....
  24. I am glad that I missed this chaos by leaving the Philippines 1 week prior.....
  25. @Dannyxxx I truly enjoyed that you shared with us: Your Tokyo guy adventure. He sounds exactly like the type of guy that I would like to hire as I like his type of personality and the sex options are those that I am very much aligned with. I had a similar adventure as yours in South Korea - back in 2017 where I employed 3 different Korean guys to be my tour guides and sexual masseurs during a 12 day period. Each one was employed for 3 days each and the last guy - my favorite was employed for 5 days. He was an amazing stud, gently, manly, sexy, and a great tour guide. His massages each night before we went to bed after touring each day were so enjoyable. Also, sleeping and cuddling with him was very emotionally rewarding. But me - like you - I can get emotionally attached - and of course on the 5th day when I had to say goodbye to him I lost it emotionally and I cried -- even though I wanted to be more manly. Oh well - I will always have his pictures and memories with me forever. Sharing with us about what happened to you at the Osaka DG branch is very thankful and extremely valuable. This is what makes this forum great - as the expression = “Forewarned is forearmed”, can save a lot of us forum members from having to experience this awful experience. So, I thank you for warning us and sparing us any uncomfortable and ugly situations. If I may, can I write you a DM to learn about how to contact your Tokyo guy? I am already infatuated with him via your excellent storytelling skills and I do not yet know him......
