  1. I still lack your courage - I still need some more Vinapu Boot Camp training πŸ‘πŸ˜‡πŸ€ͺ
  2. hmm - this an interesting perspective because at my previous employer this was one of our BIGGEST topics of conversation (hours and hours): Where will you retire? What is the taxation policy in the desired country? Does this country respect the United Nations tax treaties after you stop working and go into retirement status? Choose your retirement country wisely if you are a USA citizen - because they have a "Citizenship based global taxation" which does not honor the United Nations non taxable income rules - because then you can find yourself paying tax twice on your UN income if your designated retirement tax country implements a "Global taxation" based on tax residency regime. So, for me and for my former work colleagues at the UN, this was of primary or secondary importance because of UN tax treaties - which are in addition to our Citizenship and/or tax residency status.
  3. or you "strategically" make sure that Thailand is not your "tax residence" (by avoiding to stay in the Kingdom more than 180 days) and live somewhere else that has a more tax friendly taxation. When I chose my to-be retirement destination country back in 2020 - The friendly taxation status of "tax residents" in Thailand helped to put it at the top of the list. But now the current government wishes to change this "social contract" - so, consequently, where to live is now up for grabs.....
  4. This was so much fun - to be strategically placed at the seating tables that are in front of the elevators - and to "act" like I do not know either Vinapu or his very scrumptious date. I was very envious as Vinapu has an amazing selection of guys always available to him - and all of these guys are my type. But, that is ok, because I would eventually be with my ever so sexy hot Khim from Cambodia.
  5. yes - he's coming back!!!
  6. is that a "good" thing or a "bad" thing ?
  7. Koh Tao trip report - Monday 24 June 2024 - Saturday 29 June 2024 My Thai volleyball friend and I, we have been discussing where to go for our next island hopping trip in Thailand. We already visited Koh Larn, Koh Samet, and Koh Chang. For this trip, which is about to commence as of the writing of this trip report (22 June), we chose the mysterious, Koh Tao - as it has been given the label of "Death Island". Below is a Youtube documentary as to why it has been given this name. Consequently, my Thai friend has been kindly asked by me to keep his eyes on me at all times as it seems that over 20 non-Thais have been murdered on this mysterious island. From a logistical point of view, our trip here has taken quite a lot of effort to organize, as it is not easy to arrive there from Pattaya. Our itinerary is: Monday 24 June - Taxi limo from Pattaya to the Novotel hotel in Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport (flight is early in the morning next day so we wanted to already be at the airport when we wake up and it gives a chance to my Thai friend to have his family come and visit us at the airport - as they live in the nearby province). Tuesday 25 June - Flight from Suvarnabhumi to Koh Samui airport - Taxi from Koh Samui airport to the Maenam/Pralarn Pier for the inter-island Lomprayah ferry - Pickup from the Mae Haad Pier on Koh Tao by our resort The above map gives you a good idea about the logistical challenge. In hindsight, perhaps flying to Chumphon airport would have made the trip somewhat easier as the ferry ride would only require one inter-island stop - instead of 2 from Koh Samui. I initiated this trip report before its commencement and conclusion - just in case I would become the next death statistic on Koh Tao - hopefully not, as I would like to truly finish this trip report - as I see we don't have many trip reports to many of Thailand's hidden secrets - as we tend to limit our travels to the traditional tourist places like; Chiang Mai, Phuket, Hua Hin, Pattaya, and Bangkok. Stay tuned.
  8. I agree Vinapu, A is very impressive. I truly enjoyed the story that he shared with us about his volunteer work with the Thailand Princess Sirindhorn. A is definitely a gentleman. He shared his line with me at our dinner and I need to still pursue a possible encounter with him. I was conveniently lucky to get a glance at Y - and his is VERY impressive. Vinapu - you have an AMAZING selection of men available to you. I see that they are the fruits of all of your prior trips to Thailand and how you treat these guys very good - how can they ever say no to you 😘
  9. Speaking of the Canterbury Tales bookshop - the PCEC - Pattaya City Expat Club will have a presentation by its founder, Mr David Collier at their next meeting on Wednesday 26 June 2024 at 10:30 am at the Holiday Inn in Pattaya City. https://pcec.club/MEETING-INFORMATION
  10. I like to waste money on travel The BEST way to live = experience life in the real
  11. I go here at least 3 times each week for my morning breakfast. Very convenient and ALL of the waitresses know me and after greeting me say, "same same Mr.?...." However, note that the bacon is much better over at Tinnies - as it was mentioned earlier about where can one get good bacon as part of their breakfast. https://www.facebook.com/TinniesPie/
  12. hmm, what is the hidden message? Did Vinapu feel more "secure" with me at the opposite end of the corridor ? For the discretion aspect, I could understand completely :>)) I would not be able to sleep if I had the adjacent room next to Vinapu πŸ€ͺ ohh lala - yes, I could not resist. Since Vinapu did not take any of the sexy and lovely guys from Moonlight - I just had to take 2 of them back to my Raya room with the BIG glass enclosed shower that is in the middle of the suite. Once we were in the room, I organized my own "Moonlight show" = OMG πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦
  13. Unfortunately, Olddaddy - I cannot answer this question - as I only arrived 18 months prior from Europe as a new retiree. So I cannot assess if the gay expat generation prior to the current gay expat retiree generation was more open to letting in "newbies" - new gay expat arrivals settling in the Pattaya area. I can say that the forum members that come here on vacation and/or are seasonal part-time expats are very approachable and friendly. I have made many friends with this category of expats - but they tend to be here during the "high-season" months (October through March).
  14. and I am SO glad that you dragged me to Senso - as I had a "blast" πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦ there. The GREAT thing about traveling with Vinapu - is that he knows so many people. By now I had already met Reader and now Anddy - all great forum members 😘 And this was fascinating for me because the bus was very old and historic and it felt that I was transported back in time to 2007 from a scene from Bangkok Love Story
  15. This one should read - Hoi An - as that is the small Vietnam village that is famous for the lanterns - and it is only like 40 minutes away from Da Nang and is well worth it in my opinion. Hue is in the opposite direction and you would go there if you want to see Nguyen Dynasty Đẑi Nα»™i Citadel. I went there with my Vietnam gay tour guide and it was an all day event. Since you will only have 3 days - you will need to choose wisely. Reader - I wrote about my April Da Nang trip here:
  16. I have a feeling Reader - that this is VERY true after attending 6 days of Vinapu's Boot Camp πŸ˜†πŸ˜ˆ
  17. I love the bacon that is served with the American breakfast at Tinnie's https://www.tinniespiespattaya.com/ here in Jomtien - just outside of the Jomtien Supertown Complex. This is an Australian restaurant and the bacon is thick and big and juicy.
  18. This is exciting Reader. Where will you be going in Vietnam? Da Nang? if yes - I can give you some tips as Da Nang is a beautiful place....and so is nearby historic Hoi An.
  19. ok, as promised, I made contact with Punya today - the owner of Sansuk Sauna & Guesthouse https://sansukthailand.com/ He confirmed that the rumor that started this thread is FALSE. He did not sell Sansuk and he is still the current owner of Sansuk. He was happy to be alerted by this false rumor and that I volunteered to clarify the situation.
  20. JD100 and I have already met several times. JD wrote in this forum back in December/January that he was moving from Argentina to Pattaya and solicited to meet other expats. I responded to that request. I have introduced JD to the bar that I hang out the most in at the Jomtien Supertown Complex and he seems to like it. I also took JD to see the M2M show and we had a great time. I also asked JD to accompany me at the Pattaya Community Pride event that took place on 8 June 2024. Unfortunately, in this area of making friends with the local expat community - I was not successful and I actually gave up last year. I now have more than enough Thai friends to keep me busy and I am happy with that outcome. My experience with the local expat community is that they are very reserved and guarded and ironically I see that I have become that way as well with other expats - except for JD 😘 I cannot explain this phenomena. I note that in the heterosexual community that Pattaya is very good at getting that community organized with ""welcome to Pattaya" events that are held weekly so that the new heterosexuals can meet each other and integrate into the larger Pattaya heterosexual community. I see that in the Pattaya gay world that this is non-existent. I do not know if it has always been this way and I do not know why it is like this? Anyone know ?
  21. SiriusBE - I was asked if you can reveal the source of this rumor ?
  22. One of my close volleyball friends works at Sansuk and I asked him today if the Sansuk has a new owner and he said that the staff were not aware of such news. I asked him to ask Punya to comment on this gossip. Also, note that the sauna part of the complex is very busy and the hotel side of the business is experiencing normal levels of occupancy expected for low season.
  23. Hi Macaroni21. I would say yes because what is written in LINE for this massage group is that "fun" can be had - and it is at the discretion of the masseur. I searched for TCS and then used the wonderful AI auto-translate feature and in the 3 reviews that it found for TCS - "fun" was had. In the 3 reviews they speak about S = which I believe is the reference for sex fun and SS = super soft. I may have these backwards. LINE has a strict censorship policy so these forums use "coded messaging" that most of the forum members understand. Specifically they referenced TCS masseurs, Q, Non, and Earth. I would love to post the reviews that they write as .pdf documents stored in the Notes section of LINE - but we are prohibited - with the threat of being expulsed from the Massage Insider group if we do it. I hope that this helps you. Vinapu is currently posting his BKK trip report and perhaps MSense may be in that report ?
  24. It was good for me to learn the layout of that area of Bangkok - and thanks to us constantly moving from one hotel to another - I definitely obtained a feel for that area - especially when we finished at the Raya - as that was so easily located "almost" adjacent to Moonlight and the UNESCO Food Land. Excellent location. I should of went with you as I missed that opportunity to see the Banana club - but I was cooked and I needed to sleep for what was to cum on the following days :>) Vinapu, I understand you COMPLETELY - as it was hard for me to decide "yes" or "no" to bring that HOT Cambodian Khim guy to Pattaya - as his price was in the same range as your guy from Jey Spa. Khim put it to me this way --> I get 2 to 3 customers per day here in the ghetto of Sala Deng - so, if I go to Pattaya - I need to be compensated for what I give up in BKK. That was very fair and in the end I agreed to bring him to Pattaya for 3 glorious full days - because I could see and appreciate his body both in the bedroom of my condo and ALSO on the lovely white sands blue turquoise waters of Koh Larn - and seeing his great muscle body on the beach was so much better than when I saw him naked in my Raya shower back in Bangkok. Nature seems to bring out the Tarzan beauty of these studs.
  25. I recently stayed at the Raya with Vinapu and all was normal. My room at the back of the hallway on floor 6 overlooked the transformation of our beloved soi Twilight into hotel/shopping ? and none of the construction noise bothered me or made my stay there unpleasant. I LOVED the Raya - especially when I brought 2 guys back to my room on 2 different occasions when they put on a sexy show in the "in the middle of the suite" all glass shower - truly a turn on for what was to cum - oops come....
