  1. I’ve heard this question a lot. While it may seem aimed at high-income individuals, the reality is that it applies to everyone. If you’re bringing foreign income into Thailand, it’s important to get ahead of the game with proper planning. And this is the MOST nasty part of what the Thai government has allowed to transpire. If you have passive income greater than the equivalent of $80,000 USD for the prior 2 tax years - you can qualify for the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) LTR (Long Term Resident) visa, specifically the Wealthy Pensioner visa, which EXEMPTS you from having to pay tax in Thailand. Unfortunately, and unfairly, if your income is less than the equivalent of $80,000 USD, then you are possibly subject to the progressive personal income tax on funds that you transfer into Thailand - as per the below: So, we clearly have an example that these current Thai tax schemes are NOT targeting big fish. It is us little fish that are being targeted. What could be the rationale for this warped thinking ? Thoughts ?
  2. Hahahaha This is NORMAL modus operandi for many of these guys. No shame. No guilt. No self control, No financial responsibility, etc. It is just amazing. After living here as a new retiree here for more than 2 years - I now see how to survive here psychologically and mentally --> in that you just need to become a grumpy non-heart cold jaded old bastard expat retiree. So sad, as I had not envisioned to have this kind of existence in the last years of my life.
  3. And the bounce that his rock hard cock makes is one that says: Remove this blanket NOW and give me some strokes because I am so ready to shoot. 🍆💦💦💦
  4. Below is today's YouTube from Benjamin Hart - an American Attorney with Integrity Legal, who became a Thai citizen many years ago. He is pretty hot under the collar about the Thai government's recent move to align with OECD's norm to align Thai taxes with the global standard before Thailand actually becomes an OECD member. If I understood correctly, I believe that these are prerequisite steps that you need to do as a country in order to qualify for OECD membership ? Kind of like what prospective EU countries need to do to join the EU via the EU Accession process ?
  5. @spoon Why do you think that is? Why does a str8 MB have this very important understanding about finances and a gay MB does not?
  6. And this is extremely hard. I have tried to engrain this mindset with several of the guys that I became close to over the years and I have failed in 98% of the cases. Why? Us as outsiders, we are fighting very strong cultural norms. Such as: 1.) Family back home is first and foremost priority - as the social security pension system here is intentionally inadequate by the government - because the government knows that the youngsters must take care of their elders. 2.) Poor families are often the ones who are intentionally sending 1 or 2 of their chosen children (once they are of legal age) down to Pattaya to earn easy money for the family. Often the child is pressured to do it for the family. 3.) Thailand is part of the collectivism mindset. I see this day after day here - if one person is down and out financially the others chip in to help. Unfortunately, due to the previously stated above 2 points + bad or zero education spent on financial saving and budgeting skills, this collectivism mechanism never allows any one individual to climb out of this downward financial spiral. The only way is for said Thai person to leave and/or remove himself from this group of friends - for which, 98% of the time they will not do it because then they would lose face. Therefore, I do not see a light at the end of the tunnel for our guys unless perhaps we remove the one that we care about the most by moving him out of Thailand? Thoughts?
  7. Is 41 a lucky number?
  8. And that decision was the beginning of the demise of BoyzBoyzBoyz (BBB) - as they eliminated what was fun for all of us - nude torso muscular men parading on the red carpet - as they now cater to the Asian female market - where they like their guys to walk around fully clothed - hence no need for an external gym to tantalize all of us while we waited for the 9pm parade. As stated by Vinapu, covid killed off the former exciting and unique BBB parade where the guys marched through ALL of Boyztown. Now that walkway is quite empty.....how sad. Covid has long left all of us but they refuse to bring back what worked. For the sake of historical fun red carpet parade memory: https://www.facebook.com/PanoramaPubPattaya/videos/the-boyz-boyz-boyz-parade-appears-to-be-back-with-the-best-view-from-panorama-pu/1856803917670027/ https://www.facebook.com/reel/395906382853548 https://www.facebook.com/BoystownPattaya/videos/บอยซ์ทาวน์-เปิดให้บริการแล้ว-เพลิดเพลินกับการแสดงเวลา-2130-น-คุณมีทางเลือกซ้ายหร/2869747523321074/?locale=ms_MY
  9. I remember back in the day when Boyztown in Pattaya was still in its glory with the 9pm red carpet sexy boy march - there was a small gym outside of BoyzBoyzBoyz (BBB) where while waiting for the show to start you could watch the sexy gogo guys "warm up" their muscles for the red carpet march and then inside BBB for the on-the-stage take me home show.
  10. All of this is so bizzare to me when you know the historical story of how Pattaya was transformed from a sleepy small fishing village into one of the sex capitals of the world. Just ask some of the 400,000 military personnel that were sent to Pattaya for R&R (Rest and Relaxation) during the nearby wars in the 1960s and 1970s. How many orgasms were released in that period - and hence "seeded" this industry that we see today in Pattaya? And was it not the Thai government that ok'd and facilitated this arrangement back in the 1960s and 1970s?
  11. I already met with a Thai tax accountant and my new tax minimalization plan is already being executed, as I will live outside of Thailand for more than 180 days in tax year 2025 to avoid becoming a tax resident. This strategy will also let me test drive the Philippines and Vietnam in case I would need to vacate Thailand if they would implement the dreaded Global Tax Regime that is being pushed heavily onto this new government. As expats living here we have no rights --> but we can vote with our feet.
  12. And this is what is frustrating about this new Thai government. The previous Thai governments resisted this pressure to conform that was being exerted on them by the OECD/WEF supranational organizations. What originally attracted me to Thailand many years ago was its uniqueness from other countries, as Thailand was never a colony of another nation that imposed its norms and culture onto Thailand. And in my opinion, this is what makes Thailand special and desirable. Now to see this new government to acquiesce to these external pressures - especially in light of the fact that Thailand resisted colonization for thousands of years is very disappointing. Even the Bangkok municipality government has recently started a movement to remove the street vendors and food carts from Bangkok's sidewalks --> because they now decided that Bangkok needs to be like Singapore. Really? This is crazy. These are the things that help to make Bangkok unique and original. To make Bangkok sterile like Singapore, in my opinion, would be a sell out of Thai culture. Why is Thailand suddenly deciding that "external ways" are better than "the Thai way"? It makes me so sad to see all of this happening.
  13. The term side was coined in 2013 by the sex therapist and author Dr Joe Kort. https://lampoonmagazine.com/article/2023/12/07/side-sexuality-grindr-category-no-penetration-gay-top-bottom/#:~:text=Last year%2C Grindr added a,sexual act except anal penetration. I personally lobbied hard with the PlanetRomeo admins to add SIDE as a new sexual category shortly after Dr Joe Kort invented the new term way back in 2014. The above lampoon article gives all the credit to Grindr - but I believe that both PlanetRomeo and Hornet introduced the new SIDE category way before Grindr did.
  14. yes I agree. Who knows, maybe someone here in this forum is thinking about this J temptation. By the way, it is not me. But I had a similar arrangement last year and when my previous employer called me back to Budapest to work for some months my Thai spies were keeping me updated with gossips and photos about what my Thai guy was up to. No surprises - as we had an agreement - that I could have fun in Budapest - with the stipulation that I would make videos of these encounters to share with him and he would share with me what he was doing back in Pattaya - and my spies gossips and sneaky photos were consistent with what he was telling me.
  15. wow - what a GREAT idea. I never tried this. I will definitely give this a try.... Thanks for this tip.
  16. @floridarob you may be onto something (remember the number = 286), as George Webb, an investigative journalist, posted this in today's newsletter - as he is closely following this issue. Below was extracted from George Webb's newsletter dated 13-Dec-2024:
  17. @durian please realize that effective 01-Jan-2024, Thailand has modified their Territorial Tax Regime and now will make inbound wire transfers into Thailand subject to Assessable Income, which may or may not be subject to Thailand taxation (as per the PIT) if you are a tax resident in a given tax year. Thailand's tax year coincides with the calendar tax year. Furthermore, the definition of tax resident is if you reside in Thailand for more than 180 days in a tax year. On top of the above, this new Thai government is considering to implement a Global Tax Regime (at the behest of the OECD) and to move away from the formerly friendly Territorial Tax Regime. See below article in Thai - but if you are using Google Chrome and you right click on it you can have it translated into English. https://pantip.com/topic/42949323 This article is directly from the source - as per: Ms. Kullaya Tantitemit, Director-General of the (Thai) Revenue Department. In my opinion, if this new Thai government will implement a Global Tax Regime - then it will no longer be a favorable retirement destination.
  18. Instead I see a different voice / alarm being manifested - and that is with the use of AI (Artificial Intelligence). In the case of UHC, they were using AI to determine if an insurance claim was getting denied or not. Prior to the use of AI, this task was done by humans. What is the difference = AI versus Human ? Humans have compassion. Unfortunately, the AI that I have been exposed to in this period seems to lack "human compassion". So, for matters of health and life and death, should we as the human race allow AI to make those decisions for us ? Shall we hide behind the decisions of AI to obtain more profits (greed) at the detriment of the human race? This is the conversation that I would hope come out of this unfortunate assassination.
  19. We need to remember that UHC implemented AI to decide on which claims would be denied. UHC had the highest denial rate at 32% versus the average of 16% Previously to the introduction to AI (Artificial Intelligence) compassionate human beings were making these decisions. So, perhaps other than greed - as a society, do we want to let non-compassionate AI make the decision as to whether or not we receive medical treatment and/or get to live ?
  20. wow - he is definitely a 10 What do you think motivated him to assassinate the UHC CEO ? denied claims for a loved one ? The media is reporting that UHC implemented AI technology which improved their earnings by substantially raising the claims denial rate. Previously to the AI implementation - the humans who performed this process were more compassionate. https://www.thestreet.com/technology/unitedhealthcare-spotlight-reveals-pivotal-ai-failure https://www.yahoo.com/news/unitedhealthcare-other-insurers-ai-deny-202000141.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAC6gsJhxISIsqNP03XcX87ZDwI-nviqe7e5e8-4kMqVXkoHmap2QYYQoYnEH6JT2pUJezpzd9CAGG8EmE-qqV-z5PpAOwQn7GYA5e1DVMOqWuEAK-FqdIqM2Ko1SD9DzwOzRMf6SNmbFF2-EiwRuhz1ElWewmZRRn1GwP6f90dns

  23. big cocks always win 🤪 my above question was rhetorical :>)
  24. I am all ears. I never made the connection between hi-so men and Isaan men? They seem to be complete opposites: Isaan Hi-So dark skin white ghost skin big cocks normal cocks Is this jealousy because of their skin color ? 🤣
  25. @Moses I want to say that I appreciate ALL the help that you have done over the many years that I have known you (almost 12 years), including (apologies if I forget anything in the below list😞 you helped my friend Woody, a Shan State refugee get on his feet (he always feared to be deported) by trusting my recommendation to give him a chance to be a tour guide for Siam Roads. I am so PROUD of Woody, as he now has legal papers to reside in Thailand, he eventually bought the massage shop where I met him, Classic House Massage Shop - in Chiang Mai, he built a home for his mom back in Shan state in troubled Myanmar, he bought a new car which he uses for his tours, he created a wonderful tour business --> which I used his tour services a couple of times with his partner, Non. Moses - your trust in me (and also Woody) - allowed Woody to find the right path to success and I will always be grateful to you. Thank you Moses. Moses - you gave a chance to many of the other guys on Siam Roads that we happily employ to bring us wonderful tours. Back when Michael (SurferCrest) was the owner of the Sawatdee chat forum group - you were ALWAYS there to help and support the success of that forum - which I believe that you eventually took over from Michael. You were ALWAYS available for free to help with the network and IT issues for Gaybutton's forum. You have helped with technical issues over the years for ALL 3 Thailand forums - Sawatdee, Gaybutton, and this one, GayGuides - this is truly appreciated Moses. It just PISSES me off that so many of our forum members just constantly dump shit on you when you have a kind heart and thanks to you we all have a forum that we can use to find wonderful sexual encounters and have great vacations. I just needed to get this off of my chest. Enough is ENOUGH!!!!!! I know that many people do not agree with the political side of things - but do we really need to stay so political in these forums???? This forum, gayguides.com has become so political --> especially after the fall of the former "Company of Men" forum when many of those forum members migrated over to this forum = gayguides.com Can't we all agree to get back to why this forum was created in the first place? To have fun, to plan our vacations, to share our adventures with each other, to create lasting friendships? Or is it more important for us to tear each other apart ?? If so, what will be left of this forum????
