You are chasing to many birds and it may show by your attitude detected by the boys or even news may spread. Lesson learned- when visiting somebody in order to check his stamp collection is not a bad idea to drop by 7/11 and pick up roll of paper towels. always can be explained that you need it for one's own place to avoid face loss. Plastic mattresses in Thai climate may be handy to clean but definitely not pleasant as bed surface. Again not a bad idea to accept invitation to see somebody in his place just to learn few new things.

Farmers from remote corners of country by majority vote may force issue to be implemented , right or wrong. This is price for democracy. As long as I remember Thaksin was not voted out of office but removed by a coup . This holds true not only in Thailand but also in USA , Bangladesh and plenty other 50/50 countries. Fact that we do not agree with somebody don't automatically means that we should rubbish everything person says. By 'admirers of their sons' I meant distinguished readers and contributors of this board who , unless living there permanently like you, should stay away from taking sides in Thai politics we understand very little and likely care about not much more - again this is for Thais to sort it out, including long term resident who are by those politics affected. And for every opinion expressed by the Nation or Bangkok Post is always another one expressed by some farmers in remote corner of Issan who votes too

When I saw new posts in 'some models' I knew you feeling better now. Hope you will be able to report a little I bit more, this was one of best threads for long time, kind of addictive. As for pace settling down a bit toward end I think this is normal. Sorry to hear about your troubles at end of such entertaining trip. It could be so called stomach flu, vaccine probably doesn't work for that. Drink plenty of fluids as it can dehydrate you fast. And have mercy on boys for few days as if I'm right , it highly contagious / Devint case ?/
