that's the beauty of Boyztown - there's always something of interest for everybody from Vassa's skinny fems all the way to BBB hunks with everything in between.

never , ever in Thailand and for that matter anywhere else I had a case of security or management insisting on checking anything in the room I occupied. Ronnie you must have a bad luck or poor unresearched choice of hotels in LOS.
-
No and yes. Yes , tried many hotels as I like to sleep around in a sense you noticed in one of your comments to my thread. Expert I'm not because other than 2 nights per trip in Tarntawan I like budget hotels and only those who share my taste should pay any attention to my notes. At end of day I'm tempted to agree that Om Yim may be the best choice, close to everywhere, reasonably priced and appointed, no elevator though for those who care about those things. Recently I'm developing soft spot for Nantra Silom in soi 8 , very modern with basic breakfast included but room smaller than Om Yim.

Hope your reunion with Thailand will be enjoyable one. If you find time to report a bit here , even better. Both choices have advantages and are joiners friendly. Tarntawan is pricey compared to Malaysia but much closer to the action, breakfast for two is included and quite sumptuous. Malaysia is less than half price , rooms are spacious and airy but you need to budget for breakfast / 100-130 /, taxi from Silom /55-65 / , past midnight 80-100, motorsai from Lumpini MRT /20 /, whatever you decide you win.

typo - Vincent is in soi Dumphlee on the way from Rama Rd to Malaysia hotel, but I second - very good option and cute waiters. Madrid restaurant in Patpong has very good pizza

Only known hotel in the Silom area prohibiting visitors is Siam Heritage on Suriwong, should be no problem elsewhere but some may change joiner fees although it's while since somebody complained about those on gay boards..
-
nothing beats banana pancake in front of Silom soi 2 at midnight

not a bad advice look vise, first issued in 2004 and it was voted most attractive note of that year by members of International Banknote Association

If you want to know what I think read this thread http://www.gaythailand.com/forums/topic/9793-final-notes-for-december-2014-trip/?hl=notes

since when comes to look of paper money Americans for some reason are least innovative country in the whole world and changes in the last 80 years are pretty cosmetic my guess is that woman on a 20 $ note will be Andrew Jackson

for me hot and sticky weather means that I eat very little surviving day mostly on fruit snacks and ice cream, only in the evening have one meal usually chicken with cashew nuts either in Oasis on Suriwong close to Tartawan or in one of soi Twilight places /Maxi's or Dicks/. I'm not a fan of food court type foods but as said before, I'm last person to give food and restaurant advice since I pay little attention to food when traveling
-
no, but I have an impression that most contributors here have mostly contact with those types and nothing wrong with it.

Foodland is a supermarket but at least one in Patpong has adjacent 7/24 restaurant, nothing fancy but fairly cheap and with quite extensive menu. Very busy 1-4 when bars are closing and staff is congregating there for a meals and gossip. I'm not gourmet food connoisseur so for me this is place good enough for meals and people watching. Cheap American breakfast before 9 at 69 baht for those staying in hotels without food service like BBB Inn or Pavillon Place. I drag my boys there often for a breakfast together

I agree with an assessment in OP and this is reason i keep returning. Yes , sometimes there were glitches but in retrospect they could be avoided if rose tinted glasses Nirish mentioned in post above would be put to good use. Untold drama mostly was caused by failed attempt to buy love instead of renting it as somebody wisely advised and while I feel sorry for cheated and abused farangs I believe they sow seeds of their own misery but forgetting that vacations are for body not for brain. Those of us who remember that boys are in the game not for our beauty but for some fun larded with money will always do well with smooth skinned and well behaved Men of Thailand.

enjoy your trip and don't forget about reporting your adventures here , time permitting of course. If I arrive past midnight i like to settle first night at BBB Inn, not because Foodland Patpong har 7/24 restaurant but because round clock availability of bed warmers in the INN.
-
I don't do those things in the bars, I'm not one of those farangs who drink beer for breakfast , LOL

I should repent for spreading false propaganda

How I missed them during my December 2014 Sunee survey is beyond me but promised to myself to correct it next time, rugged, masculine, sounds like something I'd fancy

Genghis Khan popularly elected? That's the stretch. You forgot Alexander the Great in that list perhaps Hitler was elevated to power by quite fair election. Other guys mentioned made mistake of many dictators by not allowing for popular election looking for 100 % approval on paper instead of 55% sufficient to keep them in power by electoral means. In their best days many of them would be still elected by fair means if they allowed to. And so would Europe's last remaining dictator Lukashenka of Belarus. Placing Thaksin in the same league like guys you mentioned probably points to gall bladder problems. Not trying to be sarcastic but you went too far IMNSHO

there's report on CFS forum that Nature Boy bar in soi 6 is in the dark and seems to be closed. Anybody in BKK now who can spy and update?
-
rightly so , he seemed to receive in his days quite a firm mandate
-
part 14 now available, nice tittle '50 shades of gay'
-
I agree with your Dreamboys BKK assessmnet, highest prices but by far best boy selection at least for types I like. As a bonus neither fuck show nor big cock show participants are soliciting tips among an audience so highest drink and off prices are somehow mitigated for me by savings on those tips as I usually give 100 to both. But it needs to be said that slowly they are moving into non competitive category as far as I'm concerned and I noticed that I was kind of reluctant to climb their stairs seeing what they charge on the last trip in Dec. But this is market economy -if you are outpriced take you business elsewhere or bite a bullet I guess.
-
not necessarily a bad thing, LOL

While your idea has some merit we still would be complaining about drink prices on top of already inflated cover charge. As long as we are complaining and still paying those prices I doubt owners will change their policy and if they change prices it will be still suicidal move upward. New arrivals on short term visit will pay whatever is asked and still open mouth in awe seeing what's on offer in the stage. Old hands will find a way of avoiding charges by getting boy's phone number or waiting until bar is closed to spot boy marching on the street and grab him from there. And this is suicidal too - if we don't support bars they will go out of business and what we will do? Go to the next bar perhaps. I like what Tawan is doing on busy nights, selling entry tickets at the door and inside you get free drink in exchange. This way patrons know what they are paying for without annoying illusion that greedy owner is charging 200 baht for water costing 15 baht at 7/11. Not trying to defend pricing practices but best thing about bars in LOS is that we really have a choice, add 100 baht to Dreamboys drink price , cross the soi and you have 1 hr massage at Bonnys is one of many suggested solutions. Sure one owes boy a tip of, say 1000 baht but he will be massaging you naked, not many places in the world will offer it for you for 30 USD.
