In the name of fairness I need to state that I stay at Om Yim over Christmas last year and did not have any problems with fixtures , ants e.t.c described above . Definitely will give them another try next time as location and value for money is great

Niagara Hotel in soi 9 and Sathorn Inn nearby , both close to Chong Nonsi BTS and walking distance fro Silom are within your budget as well. . Pavillion Place right in Patpong 2 above Screwboys is another cheap, non fancy but passable and no visitor problems place

Om Yim, Nantra Silom, Take-a-Nap and Malaysia Hotels all should have rooms for less than 1000 , are close to the action / Take -a-Nap very close/ and no problems with visitors. I agree with z909 comments above about Pattaya

This would be confirmed m by me experience, whenever happy I paid over the odds with anticipation of another off , on subsequent meeting boy was even better and inclined to stay longer than on first visit. Which is important to me since I like romantic BS like kisses and hand holding and hate when even best boy looks like is in rush to spent his newly earned tip .

you may find excellent boy in crappy bar or hire dud from the best one. It depends what type of boy you like, I'd start with Screwboys and Dreamboys as they have good mix as for massages Bangkok Massage and Bonnys , both in soi Twilight and Arena for the same reason don't plan too much, just go and enjoy report your findings here after return home OBN welcome to the forum

As long as you feel that you are getting value for your money you can and possibly should to tip whatever YOU consider fair and affordable. If you tip a bit over the odds probably you are not getting much poorer because of your generosity and certainly you are helping to put some food on Thais table / or fund their gambling habit, but why not to take a chance money will be well spend ? / -
