  1. indeed, one asks ten people what good food or good bed is and 8-9 different answers will be provided. And we don't want even start with what good looking boy is !
  2. almost twice ? I 'd say three times bigger
  3. don't spoil Jason's fun !
  4. you should be happy with either. Great location of both and likely cheaper than Quarter , another modern , well appointed but undersized place.
  5. I wish I could agree. Yes its modern and well appointed but room and desk are postcard size and I find it overpriced big time . But as floridarob says I'm room size queen.
  6. we shall look for report , hope at least one of you will write something. Have fun there
  7. I can testify to it, on few occasions I saw you admiring Patpong 1 and Patpong 2 architectural landmarks
  8. taxi stopped on the street would take you there for 500 at best if not less ( meter from Silom is around 300 , plus tolls 70-80). No 50 baht airport fee if going TO the airport as far as I know. Just saying as I understand convenience of taxi waiting and ready Waiting for your word about the trip
  9. That's very doubtful achievement. Next time we are there at the same time I must drag you there, perhaps with suitable buy as my trip to Wat Po and Grand Palace with one of our members and S is one of my trip memories I cherish the most
  10. probably no but such ' overhead" expense at that price range can't amount to much. I did not pursue that purchase, just quote what I was told by my guide.
  11. In my case it was Jey Spa masseur of top quality who suggested overnighter at that price and did not yield when I tried to bargain. I'm still not 100% sure I did right thing rejecting his offer but for sure my wallet is. I still rather spent that much on Thai escort than comparable amount , even if bit less, on escort in the West who certainly would be watching time and I doubt it will go overnight for 300 USD, lets get real.
  12. and low cost booze. Hope fully that tragedy will teach them something . Cheap price buys cheap meat as they say in Uruguay.
  13. actually room I had at Red Planet was not that small and it was quite easy to fit us all three in. I know what you mean though as when I sty there previously my room was undersized indeed but not this time luckily.
  14. I'm. Big time. Welcome home and have fun in our beloved Bangkok
  15. by virtue of being good day, no need for contrast with bad one
  16. specially if you take shortcut by Soi Wat Hualampong passing by Magic Touch massage and Rose hotel before hitting Suriwong across from Siam Heritage hotel
  17. good idea, he already fucked up Twitter
  18. Not good piece of propaganda above . This engine looks like model from fifties fitting for some side lines in Africa or Latin America not for world's superpower. All the same like Trump himself.
  19. Good for you ! For me their rates all are ridiculous premium but I'm cheap skate when comes to accommodation and probably on much lower income level too. At the same time I haste to say I understand people who like to treat themselves and splurge on something better, after all it put our hard earned money at work
  20. actually Pattaya made some progress toward that noble goal and post covid Walking Street is not as much in-your-face as it used to be in better days.
  21. wherever you exit customs are and you are back on freedom ( there are two exits so on one you turn right , another one turn left ), you go down escalators or elevator to lowest level. You will see green carpeted slope - it's leading to the railway station . To the left you will see some kiosks with soft drinks, selling SIM cards and most important -exchanging money. Rates there are only minimally worse than at XOne on Suriwong so feel to exchange money there, as much as you want / need. You can buy train ticket in machines or there's ticket window. There's you chance to change that 1000 note into smaller denomination. It costs 45 baht and in 25 minutes you are in civilisation. There are 2 ways of getting to Silom area : 1/ go all the way to last station -Phaya Thai which is connected to BTS station of the same name , take train in direction of Kheha and 2 stations later cross the platform and take train going to Bang Wa. Alight on either 2nd (Sala Daeng) or third (Chong Nonsi) station depending of hotel you are staying and either march , walk or stroll to your destination. 2/ alight from the train at Makkasan station and using covered walkway go to Phetchaburi MRT station . Take train going in direction Silom - Hualampong. $th station is Silom across the park or next one Sam Yam by Wat Halampong which is bit closer to many hotels including Tarntawan. Don't worry about your luggage , you are strong man, there are escalators everywhere an your suitcase has a wheels. Going in reverse direction I's take only route 1/ as sometimes train is very crowded on Makkasan which is 2nd station on the way to airport. Certainly it was case on , Saturday week ago when I was heading to airport at 4 and people in Makkasan were squeezing and elbowing to get in which I watched from comfort of my seat. Trains run 6-24 so at night taxi is your only option.
  22. yes but calling it officially "national treasure " seems go against verbalized policy of making Pattaya family friendly destination
