  1. We are talking about tourists. Your point is valid but doesn't seem to belong to this thread. ( Somebody sarcastic may mention that there was not much shame or remorse in his country after George W invaded Iraq under false 'weapon of mass destruction " pretext )
  2. familiar non-sense , repeated in countries world over, be it Afghanis in Iran, Paraguayans in Argentina, Zimbabweans in South Africa and so on. Yet somehow locals are not lining up to take that dirtiest , lowest paid and most dangerous jobs immigrants are supposed to steal from them. Glad to learn Thailand is part of mainstream bullshit
  3. now when Musk fired everybody it may not be that easy to get help. Treat it as cost of having greatest president America ever had and ever will
  4. Thank you indeed ! We don't need to like each other but we can address our frustration with other members by private message or , when comes to worst , screaming while farting on balcony , not by calling names publicly , never mind sending death wishes.
  5. you have a good heart!
  6. me neither as I never stay there
  7. better than disappearing in the Bermuda Triangle
  8. What was wrong with Russian tourists ? They may not be first to smile at strangers or start conversation but otherwise from my experience they behave even if they mostly stick to their own kin. Personally I prefer them to some overly friendly Westerners who in short 10 minutes baht bus ride want to know when I'm from , what I do for living and how often I visit Thailand while at the same time telling me where best girls are.
  9. considering that Suvarnabhumi- Jomtien bus costs 143 don't expect much of additional luxury for price of 122 but every additional bus is an asset as waiting times for the next bus in January were up to 3 hours .
  10. You are gentleman and a scholar !
  11. my guess would be it evaporates
  12. I thought gayinpattaya is younger
  13. I have feeling I know whom you are talking about
  14. which bed out of three you guys choose? I stay in similar if not exactly the same room in Aug and opted for bed by the balcony door.
  15. it would be nice if you can name those hotels , specially one you did not like and told us why
  16. those were deals right after covid. I stay at Crown Plaza for Christmas 2021 and paid under 60 $ for room with breakfast. Probably 1/3 of what it's now
  17. with 7 and half Michelin stars Foodland beats Le Meridien 5 stars handily, lol
  18. time flies fast
  19. corrupting clergy, that must be first report of this kind here , lol Thanks for report as we hear rarely about that area of Cambodia
  20. no problems at Pullman G or Crown Plaza either ( not sure those are 5 stars )
  21. I remember that hotel fire, they thought it was faulty circuit ( sorry for repeating bkk's joke but I first responded and then read rest of thread )
  22. too bad it was not me but what a great idea. Need to try it next time I'm in Thailand in Jan 2027
  23. I stay there in Nov 2022. Room was quite big but sparsely furnished which seems to be modern fashion in hotel design . But at least there was a lot of room air. Being right across the mouth of Patpong 1 location cant be beaten. No problems with visitors and as it happened my all three there were very visible due to their looks and built. Only negative was lack of safety box in the room , they have row of those close to reception. For me it was non issue as it was end of trip and all visitors were/ still are/ trusted guys. if you ask me, go for it compare with other two you mentioned. Check prices on Agoda for your dates as it is known to science they may offer the same for a bit less
  24. Arthur and Paul is in Phnom Penh, there's no mention of original poster visiting Phnom Penh this trip, nor staying in Rambutan which is indeed next door to Arthur
