  1. fingers crossed to bar and their boys. I wonder how Tawan is doing those days, hope my spy will visit any day now. As for Sol, when I saw couple leaving after 5 minutes complaining about sound level in almost empty bar , I knew it's fate is sealed since nobody tried to do something about it, they just shrugged.
  2. not to mention -11 and strong northern wind as a bonus
  3. Poor Putin having such unruly subjects
  4. sadly correct, Democratic Kampuchea comes to mind immediately followed by Peoples Democratic Republic of Korea. On the merit of OP I doubt most countries listed will produce much of additional tourist arrivals as they are neither that affluent nor populous ( Nigeria , Ghana and Cameroun excepted to a degree) but I guess Thais know better.
  5. weren't supposed damage to ruins by jets reason to move Siem Reap airport to it's current location ?
  6. one joy after another, sigh
  7. I'm quite sure you mean Jan 6-8
  8. if that's true, hope that have room for him in Banhgkok Hilton with 15 years warranty exchangeable for gallows if boy dies
  9. Right , it was out of Fort Lauderdale, I was even in talks with member living there about meeting but there was not much time between flights and ship.
  10. not only you
  11. That's novelty - going to Pattaya and expect calm and civilisation. We have that at home. I agree that boys we engaged previously are trying to monopolize our custom, no prisoners taken , but look at bright side -they skillfully create an impression that we are such prized possession, which in turn should boost our ego.
  12. why worry ?, everybody passing by Jomtien Complex , or for that matter any area with boys on display looks bit weird
  13. you both can use glass of cold water I suppose
  14. genius !
  15. +1+1+1 Hope menaughty takes your advice seriously My advice for first timers will be go to Arena for start. Has all advantages - close to Silom ghetto, discreet, well staffed, modestly priced and whatever one is looking for, almost guaranteed to deliver. And they likely saw and heard it all . After the experience there one becomes immediately old hands, ready to brave other shops like a pro and even dispense advice here. Menaughty- just go ! There's no visit like first visit, years later you will remember every day clearly
  16. you should not have a problem of spending your small denominations then
  17. I agree with your reasoning but what makes you thinking majority of passengers will be from far away places like Europe or North America ? For millions Singapore is not 'all the way ' it's just Singapore, 2 to 7 hours away. Proletarian ones, Princess out of Miami and Norwegian out of St Juan PR
  18. if only ass, what about chip imbedded instead of old fashioned mook ?
  19. this could be owing to unfamiliarity with currency, masseur could suspect that customer is tricking him with some funny money even if Southern won can be easily and reasonably exchanged in Pattaya. Once boy I offed was complaining that earlier in the bar customer gave him tip in some funny money and had eyes wide opened when I told him that 50 Brunei ringgit is the same like 50 Singapore dollars and instructed him to go to XOne and exchange it into baht easily . Do not assume it's fate of only obscure currencies. For me fall of USD started back in Jun 2006 in small Ukrainian village Khotyn famouse for massive ancient castle. I wanted to buy beautiful, artistic photo of that castle and being short of hryvnya, Ukrainian currency I offered 20 USD note which was even well over what seller wanted. Guy on the market refused to take it and I knew that end of USD is near
  20. my guess will be what is highlighted from your post plus chances are that cruises during poor weather periods may be cheapest. My experience with cruises is very limited , just two , but on both I noticed that people are taking those to be on the ship and bask in it's luxuries ratjher than being interested in any type of land activities be it sightseeing or lazying on the beach. Even in places like Cartagena or Panama only less than half passengers actually left the ship, they were giving us numbers.
  21. perfect for sightseeing and additional incentive to keep one's bed warmed
  22. +1 agree, I had a case when I told guy I can give him 100 $ now or 3500 baht in the morning after I exchange money and he opted for second option. Interestingly another boy from the same bar on the same trip asked me if I can tip him in USD , otherwise in the morning he must go and exchange some baht into it If some member is in Bangkok and is planning trip to Cambodia soon I suggest to contact you and buy those small USD's from you as in Cambodia they are very handy.
  23. I'm glad you said that as I'm of long held opinion that more luxurious, comfortable and providing great view room is , it harder to leave it and go about the city ..................................... not bad idea of stay in in Sapahan Kwai but some people think it's very far from Silom while in fact if all works well all it takes is 20 -25 minutes from Sala Daeng staion to be at Saphan Kwai ....................................... Tawan used to be friendliest bar of them all and it looks so is Atlas
  24. stop that nonsense man!
