If for some reason you try to change subject it's fine but I fail to see what Minneapolis has to do with treatment of gays in your country. Either Russian state is indifferent to gays or is trying to supress attempts to politicize LGBT which means cares and dies it deeply. If you indifferent to your daughter choices you won't care to prevent her marrying somebody you don't like or buying car she can't afford. I'm pretty sure if gays in Russia turned nationalistic and shauvinistic government would be very happy to let them to politicize their movement. If Americans like to let their children to get shoot in the school , it's their nation abomination and problem to solve. Perhaps it how they like to tackle problem of world's overpopulation. At least they are not trying to hide it which may not be case with some more obsessed with image and secretive countries like your own.
