in Jun at mouth of soi 4 taxi guy stopped me offering taxi , I asked him ' how much to Nishitetsu hotel ?" and we had good laugh. For uninitiated , Nishitetsu is whole 50 meters from soi 4. Few years ago waiting for green light on South Pattaya and Second Road intersection I was witness of two Japanese looking girls asking taxi ' how much it will be to Wat Chai ", he said 200 without blinking an eye and they accepted ride which lasted probably 25 seconds at most. I once for fun accepted 20 baht lift by motorsai from Baan Silom to Silom, 2 minutes walk but at least I knew what I was doing . so bottom line is I agree with you ( as always )

ditto if you go before bars open as boys often shop there or eat on the stairs. On last trip I met that way Lao guy who was sitting with me in Freshboys night before and I could easily off him if I did not have boy booked already.

Are you indifferent to rain when planning holidays?
vinapu replied to unicorn's topic in The Beer Bar
as I said I know almost nothing about cruises with only 2 undertaken but remember my surprise on Panama Canal cruise segment. Beautiful day and ship told us that slightly over half ( they gave us exact figure but I forgot what it was) passengers went to the shore, hence my comment -

from my very limited experience (just 2 cruises) most people don't leave the ship anyways so weather at port is afterthought. To answer original question , it depends of destination and whether trip is city stop or trekking in the woods. I was in Thailand few times during rainy season and rain did not bother me much if at all. Trekking in Nepal during monsoon would be different case -
last thing both countries need is the war

at least he did when I visited him last time there

I hope I did not offend anybody but yes, I feel strongly that dwelling too much on the past breeds senility

If I was that client I'd say sternly ' leave that phone NOW ! " -
and I would trust his feed more than those of serial complainers. No doubt Pattaya has changed but so did Buenos Aires, Nairobi, Moscow and Suva as well. ( If one doesn't know Suva , ask Oldddaddy)

check on Agoda and book right away

fuck nostalgia and memories and think about your next trip there. Better for your well being I guess

I generally avoid all big corpo and chain like businesses preferring to shop , dine and sleep in local , mom and pop type of establishments. 7/11 and Foodland in Thailand seem to be noble exceptions but just there

I don't like soi 4 for some reason but still visit it regularly for three great venues - G's, Banana Club and Jupiter. Other places there I just walk past and sometimes I wonder if I'm missing something.

and so do we, slowly but surely , sigh

Using excuse that jet lags are hitting me badly ( which is true by the way in most cases ) and I may have urge to sleep at day time , niece and me agreed to no calling , no knocking door at all. Each time parting ways we fixed hour when we meet next and it worked very well. We still messaged on Whatsapp whenever need arose but that is easy not to respond until suitable time . -
I , for one have fun trying to cross Surawong across Raya and treat it as cheap sport

like calling war ' special military operation " , thanks for good laugh thanks God for that, it looks 1984 was not a bad year after all
 -
I wonder if you believe in what you just said. Honestly
 -
I doubt as vacation there seem to be expensive , fitting for crowd usually staying in Capella hotel in Bangkok , not Nantra Silom and the like
 -
Perhaps they like it like that ?
