  1. no, Vassa was in next short alley, one that connects soi where ABomb is with one where XBoys and Dreamboys are. Vassa may be gone for half generation but their faded sign was still there when I passed by last year
  2. correction , it was Monday evening when bar was discovered to be closed. My spy offered to do second check , just in case , next evening. but glory of Kiwi306 and me being their first customers will shine eternally
  3. Amen from Jupiter ? Glad to hear , as usual , you did not waste any time while there. It's how vacation should be
  4. We like North Korea and Phonyang scene better ?
  5. Da Nang, Vietnam, 5 nights and some boy business I had afternoon flight there from Singapore and having window seat I could see city from above on approach. It pretty unique, while most cites are happy to have mountains in the background, or beach or great river, Da Nang has all three. And as a bonus, it’s airport is right I the city. I doubt it’s more than 1 hr walk from terminal to the beach, if that much. That did not prevent taxi driver from offering me ā€œpromotionalā€ fare to my hotel of 20 $. Short’ no, I will walk thereā€ resulted in reduction to 10$. I just kept walking and easily found guy or rather guy found me offering ride for 7 $,. Still too much but I accepted it and at hotel got 25000 dong change from my 200 000 dong bill. 1$ = 26000 at time of my stay so we are dealing with lots of zeros and it needs a bit of mental adjusting as at first sight everything seems to be soooo expensive until one realizes that 30000 for sizable portion of ice cream is only 1.15 $. In short, Vietnam is very budget friendly with bonus on one feeling like Bezos or Musk dealing with those millions. My hotel was close to a beach, perhaps 200 m walk the most but during my stay sea was very choppy and I did not see many people wading into water. Visited night market by the Dragon Bridge to eat something and exchange money , 100USD produced 2 601 000 dong, now we are talking thought I. Never inclined to waste time I took circular way back to hotel and in process located Hero spa offering man to man massage, place recommended by BKKMFJ who spent few moths in the city. Steps from there was restaurant where I had a meal and while checking their trip offers it turned out that owner has a car and can be hired for trips to Ba Na hills , Hoi An and Champa ruins in My Son, to name few places I was intended to visit. We exchanged WhatApp as I was not sure about my itinerary, primarily because I want to go to Hue but by train only.. Next morning horror – I couldn’t find my glasses. After several minutes finally found them – inside pillow. How they landed there it’s mystery , all I know that I was checking forum or Grindr on my phone while in the bed already and took glasses off. Trip to railway station crossed Hue idea out – no seats on the train in next 3 days. On my way back visited Champa Sculpture Museum , very interesting but not overwhelming. In late afternoon walk to Hero for that man to man massage. Owner recommended Royal Treatment , 1.5 hr course for 1 500 000, not exactly cheap (60$). I had high expectancies for that price, partially realized i.e massage itself was super good. When comes to afters, not much , promised body to body did not materialize. Although guy was naked throughout the session and easily accessible what was missing was spark and chemistry between us. Fault could be mine – I did not get a choice of boy and one assigned was not my type . Oh well, chalked off to experience and well energized- remember massage was great I walked to find another spa recommended by bkkmfj, Nam spa. Localized it with help of Google Maps but did not go in. Through open door I could see hunky guy in the lobby so there’ some hope thought I . To be continued…..
  6. my spies are telling me that on Sunday night bar door were shut down at 11.10 p.m. If that confirmed today , it looks that it was very short lived undertaking.
  7. Hope you returned home safely, Too bad we missed each other by few days, It would be nice to catch up after all those years ................... I know people who take as much pleasure in trip planning than in trip itself so I'm not surprised ............ as for abandoning your old ways, nice try but I doubt it worked . There's something in Bangkok air which makes us less composed than we wish, to say it mildly.
  8. don't read too much into it. He may be sincere but also he may be just saying it for lack of better words. "like", 'love" , for non-native speaker may actually mean the same.
  9. also Dreamboys (opposite XBoys ) and yes , indeed Classic Boys
  10. yes, right beside Panorama bar, opposite BBB.
  11. i should be more specific and say ' discover freedom of not reading posts, threads and reports you find not interesting "
  12. Being fresh from Bangkok debaucheries I was not really interested in bars there, next time I will try to be better member of community
  13. welcome to the forum and welcome back in Bangkok stay in Silom area as it has all you need, both bars and massage venues in close proximity. Lots of cute guys on display in front of massage shops along Silom , Suriwong and soi 6 connecting those two. Tips for massage boys 1200-2000 depending on venue and a boy plus massage fee , if you offing from bar count 2000-3000 for short time plus drink for you and possibly for a boy. In bar under no circumstances admit it's your first time and don't yield to a pressure from mamasan (captain ) to buy him a drink or tip unless they were of any help for you. They are very skilled in such extraction, I'm of religion that only boys deserve tip for presenting themselves half naked but waiting staff should be content with 20 baht for bringing you a drink if that much. One thing is sure- you will have fun
  14. reading about all those procedures my thinking is that one need to be very healthy to be sick.
  15. You have any doubts ? I'm shocked Jomtien Complex is not my usual hunting ground but let's say it politely , in no time I'd go to such extreme as calling boys there or their customers dinosaurs While I agree with you , I use my judgement as what would be preference for members in question.
  16. discover freedom of not reading
  17. few pics from Singapore to enliven the thread 20260119_183517.mp4
  18. full moon is out every month. No, sorry I can't help you but take my advice , don't dilute gin or whisky with anything , particularly not with water or coke zero
  19. Singapore , no boy business but active forum participation. Just tourist stuff When I was in Thailand last time , in Sept 2025 I sternly ordered myself that next time in the region I must go to Singapore since I never been there and clock is ticking. No only wanted to get new country to visit but also was curious to see if opinions I was getting about the place from various trusted sources will confirm ( boring , super clean , modern and efficient, expensive etc.) So at 4 am alarm sounded, I sent L home with his well deserved tip ,spruced myself up, left most of my goodies with hotel till my return in about 3 weeks and set to regional tour with 1st step being ordering taxi from Grab to take me to Don Muang. I did not wait longer than 3 minutes, fee came to 359 +50 baht toll , not sure it was much cheaper than just stopping taxi on the street at that time. This was first time ever I used that app at all (locally where I live I’m using something else if need arises, rarely though ). Managed to have some meal in coupon restaurant before checking in. Window seat allowed me to see on approach famous Marina Bay sands building so I knew I’m arriving in Singapore indeed. I had hotel in central location , close to subway station so I took subway to get there from the airport and on advice from lady on the airport station I used my credit card to pay for feres instead of buying tourist card . It was sound advice as at end of my two day stay it turned out I saved few dollars that way. I did not bother with exchanging money since I purchased Singapore dollars in Bangkok. But I bought SIM card and it was not good investment at 35 S$ for just 2 days so I got instant confirmation that city state is not a cheap place Since room was not available – way too early , I dropped bag in hotel and set to see the city. It was short walk to Museum Of Asian Civilisations, admission for senior whopping 20 S$ but I found it very interesting but not overwhelming. At 3 pm went to hotel to claim my room, more like prison cell without window but it had all conveniences including private bathroom. Lack of window was compensated by the light from corridor seeping from under the door so it was not completely dark at night inside. Soon after Jason , who volunteered to show me his homeland after work on both days, showed up and off we went to twin attraction of Flower Dome and Cloud forest. Admission 46 S$ but it was worth it as place is vast and it gave me chance to see up close live dinosaurs. We spent few hours there and when we were leaving it was about time for short walk to Gardens by the Bay to see light and sound show there, nightly free attraction attended by zillions of people. We treated ourselves with durian ice cream , my first. Fascinating fruit although in my opinion not as smelly and not as heavenly tasting as legends have it. Walked to hotel through city center and my first Singapore day was over. Next day morning I walked from hotel to acclaimed Arab Street, visited mosque there and checked 2 churches on my way. From there to Little India , bought mandarins and paid less than in Bangkok so obviously not everything is expensive there returned to hotel where soon Jason showed up and we set to Chinatown, short walk from hotel, with 1st step hawker centre where we had a meal and it was tasty as well as inexpensive – my duck with rice was 5.50 S$. Then Chinatown, Buddha Tooth temple and bus to mains hopping district , Orchard street. There I got fascinated with gold bar selling machine, not that I bought anything there. From there we crossed half country by bus to the airport to see internal waterfall and sound and light show there. Additional attraction was supermarket there where I bought Malaysian tea BOH which I like a lot and can’t see anywhere else. Next morning I went to Sentosa island just to have a look. Admission was expensive and I had only half day at my disposal so I did not partake in entertainment there. My last thing to see , short walk from hotel was Merlion, symbol of city state . I took obligatory photo , return to hotel, took my luggage and went to the airport from where I had afternoon flight to my next destination – Da Nang in Vietnam. To summarise , I liked Singapore, I should allow myself day or two more. As for stereotypes , yes , very modern. Very clean although not as shiny as legends have it but if there’s piece of garbage somewhere , it’s certainly visible from far and stands out. Hotels and admissions are at western levels – I paid more for 2 nights in windowless room than for 5 nights in room with sea view in Da Nang . On another hand public transport and food in hawker centres was very affordable and as I said , mandarins were cheaper than in Bangkok.
  20. answer is : no. I changed my mind in Jan 2025, decided not to wait that long and I'm glad I did.
  21. It's not that bad , in last few years I flew American to Buenos Aires and United to Tokyo and can't say a bad word. Not that I'm very demanding though but still I was happy with them.
