I used to have a number of guys sit with me and my regular guy when we visited Sunny Boys. Because I was already with a guy, they knew they would not be offed by me, so I told them they were free to leave if a potential customer came into the bar. It worked fine, and strangely enough, I can't recall any of the guys actually getting up and leaving. They preferred to sit and chat and drink. I have them all a good tip when we left. "A bird in the hand,...." perhaps. And easy money for them.

Contacting the manager is a great idea, especially if he is not Thai. I once had a problem in a bar in Sunee and emailed the farang owner. Things were put right very quickly and I never had a problem there again.

A couple of years ago I forgot to change my watch before leaving for Thailand. Normally, I change an expensive one for a cheap Casio watch. A few seconds after leaving a massage place I realised I'd left my watch behind. When I went back to collect it, surprise, surprise. it had mysteriously disappeared. The manager and the boy both put on a display of "searching" for it - it was quite farcical. I want to the Tourist Police headquarters to make a report but they weren't in the least interested. I suggested a policeman accompany me back to the massage place but they basically laughed the suggestion off. What? You want us to get off our arses and actually do something about it? Needless to say, I never saw the watch again. The boy probably pawned it for a few hundred baht. Maybe the manager was in on it and got a cut of the profit. Wouldn't surprise me. So if you have something stolen, basically you are on your own. Don't expect help from anyone, least of all the "police."

LAguy, just make sure you don't choke on the "mook"!

You'll get drenched the moment you step onto Suriwong Road!

Anywhere along Silom road. And you'll get soaked no matter where you go. Don't even think about staying dry. These days I organise my trips to avoid Songkran. Been there, done that. This year I'm heading down to Pattaya on April 9 then going to Bangkok on the 15th. I won't be able to completely avoid it but I'll miss most of it. Songkran in Pattaya is spoilt by farang so want to get started days before the official celebrations begin. Having said that, last year I had a great time on April 19 in Pattaya. I went out celebrating with some guys from a bar, so it's not all bad news. If this is your first experience of Songkran, you'll have a fun time.

It's a great article, especially as it agrees with me....lol But I take issue with the comment about drinking water out of a bottle and avoiding the aircraft water. It's all filtered and so is perfectly safe. The food and water served on an aircraft is the safest you are ever going to get. The pilots have to eat the same food and drink the same water as the passengers. No airline is going to risk the health of its pilots.

I would have refused to pay. A deal is a deal. What would you have done if he had asked for, say, 5000 baht? Would you have paid? More importantly, what would his reaction have been if you only offered him 1000 baht?

"I put the problem down to the plane journey. Since smoking was abolished, the carriers have saved money but cutting down on the quality of their air-cleansing. Dirty air recirculates throughout the journey." Sorry, Londoner, but that's an urban myth. The air in the cabin is changed around every 5 minutes. During that short period of time around half the air is recirculated and the other half is fresh air. The same dirty air certainly does not recirculate throughout the journey. The air in an aircraft is a lot cleaner than the air in any building, including go go bars! How often is the entire air completely changed inside a building, including a hospital? Any disease caught on a plane is likely the result of touching dirty armrests, seats or trays. "One sick passenger can easily effect two hundred others." That is also untrue. If it were true, every flight would have a large number of passengers disembarking ill, as every flight will have a number of sick passengers on board, especially in winter. If that were the case, nobody would fly. Either that, or some enterprising individual would be selling face makes at the airport.

Great reports, numazu - I'm really enjoying the description of your exploits. "He cums first, my face again. I eat up some of it (I didn’t care, it tasted great)." Are you not worried about contacting something nasty? HIV, chlamydia, hepatitis, etc?

The boyfriend was willing to abandon his partner in his hour of need. Was he also willing to abandon his inheritance from his partner? No-one is suggesting the boyfriend give 24 hour care - they've got nurses for that. But to totally abandon him is unforgivable. I hope he received nothing from Allen.

I've also had a couple of massages there. I didn't just wander in, as I always saw it as a place where the guys gather to enjoy each other's company. On both occasions I was sitting opposite having a beer and made eye contact with the guy sitting outside. If I recall, everything went ok. Both guys were very friendly. The room I was taken to had a large bed - not a mattress on the floor - and a shower. I got the impression all the guys were available.

When I was looking at massage places in KL, some sites made a point of explaining that Urut Batin was definitely not a hand -job. It was a legitimate form of massage and if the customer treated it as a wank session with a happy ending, then they would call the police!
-
Stewart, I'm wondering why you offed an "unfriendly" guy. What was he like in the bar when you were sitting with him? Was he friendly towards you in the bar but had a change of attitude back in the room?
-
Yes, I know what you mean. But that open attitude to sex only applies in the areas we all visit, not throughout Thailand. Thailand is a conservative Buddhist country. Most Thais have never visited the sex hotspots of their own country. I think 99% would be absolutely horrified if they saw what we see.

Firecat wrote: "You certainly could be right overall since BT has 5x as many boys overall then Sunee. It stands to reason that BT would have many more of every type. Just Boyz probably has more boys then all of Sunee." Correct. I was just surprised at seeing screaming fem boys in a bar like Toyboys. It came as quite a shock to the system.. In the past, Sunee was for fems and BT was for men. As I prefer the latter, I used to spend far more time in BT. But then something happened - many of the fems mysteriously disappeared from Sunee and were replaced with more masculine, straight guys. And BT bars started hiring more fem types. So I moved back to Sunee. I was so happy to see so many new masculine guys in Eros. If only they could rise to the occasion! Now I move between the two areas. I think Sunnyboys was the last bastion of the fems in Sunee. There's someone to suit all tastes, thank God.

Firecat wrote: " I find it hard to believe that Eros has gone from Fem Boys to manly guys and based on their current website , it appears to be the same as always." Well, it has, much to my delight! But the problem is, a lot of the young straight guys can't get it up! And how old is that Eros website? Last time I looked, only a couple of the guys were still working there. When I was in Pattaya last month I spent most of my time in Boyztown and was shocked at the number of fem guys I saw in the gogo bars. By "fem" I mean the prancing, posing, pouting types. They are in Toy boys and Dreamboys, just to name two. And you mentioned A-Bomb but neglected to mention Vassa, which would be heaven for guys who like fem boys. And you neglected to mention Good boys in Sunee. While not a gogo bar per se, there is not a fem boy in sight. Whilst not having any statistics to back it up, I got the definite impression that there were more fem guys in Boyztown than over in Sunee.
-
"Funny you spend all your time in Bars in Sunee where 90% of the boys fit into that category." 90% fem? In Sunee Plaza?? I don't think so! Not anymore. Judging from what I saw on my trip last month, it would seem all the fems have moved over to Boyztown.

Of all the guys I've been with over the years in Thailand, I've only found a few who rimmed. It's not something I'd ever ask a guy to do, but they did it of their own accord. One guy told me it was one of his favourite activities. Fine by me! No guy has ever asked me to rim him and it's not something I would do. But I'm sure they'd be more than happy to be rimmed - well, the gay guys, at least. I'm not too sure about the straight guys. Some of them don't like you getting anywhere near their arse so would probably not want to be rimmed.

Then I guess that makes you a "moron," too. Lol Firecat, "fairies" is disparaging. But, as newalaan pointed out, so is "moron,"

If you pay the off fee in advance, you may indeed return later to find he has gone with another customer. In that case, you'd get your money back. The real danger in paying in advance is that the boy will use that time to go off with another customer (or more than one ) and then return to the bar to wait for you. If he's already had sex earlier in the evening, he may not be very good in bed.

Wanting to trash a hotel room is extreme behaviour. This makes me think drugs were involved. I read a story on one of the boatds where a seemingly normal bar guy went feral in the hotel room - a complete personality change. In that case, drugs were involved.

A very interesting report. Thanks!

I find at BBB, when the show starts many just go straight out to the tables and chairs in the soi and enjoy each other's company. If they had any business nous, they'd hang around on the terrace for a bit, hoping a farang (me!) would offer to buy them a drink.

Alexx, you're right. I saw quite a few in Soi Twilight tonight- Freshboys, to be exact. But nowhere near as many as on previous visits. And I've yet to see many in Siam Paragon. Normally they are lined up outside Louis Vuitton, but not this time. Firecat, my feeling unsafe is based on : A) the reports of 10 Syrians who slipped into Thailand and whose whereabouts are, as yet, unknown. B) the previous bomb that exploded outside Siam Paragon C) the general increase in terror attacks this year D) the bombing of Erawan Shrine It's not a general fear of being a victim of terrorism. Bangkok has been specifically targeted before. I would not have that same fear if I was, say, in Germany or Italy. And I certainly do not trust the authorities here to keep Bangkok safe. Have you not seen all those policemen sitting outside the Erawan Shrine engrossed in their mobile phones? Have you not seen the security guards In the shopping malls just letting people enter without any checks? Have you not seen the lack of security at the BTS stations, where the security desk is unmanned? It's a joke. Merely windows-dressing. As for the safety of aircraft, I feel safer there than anywhere else. And as far as getting involved in a traffic accident on the way to Pattaya, you're missing the point. It would be an "accident," not the result of someone purposely crashing into my car. "You"re constantly on airplanes and you don't feel safe in malls????" The security measures taken at airports is way and above any such measures in any shopping mall.
