Often the problem is not spending time wading through immigration - it's waiting an inordinate amount of time for your bag to arrive. There have been lots of times when I've gotten off the plane first and rushed to Immigration and gotten through in record time, only to have to wait 20 minutes or so for the first bag to appear on the carousel.

Yes, for me there would have to first be a sign he was interested. I wrote in my last trip report about a waiter in the Tonkotsu Ramen restaurant, just past the Patpong market on the way to Soi Twilight who came on to me in a big way. I didn't make a move as I wasn't sure he was my type. But had he been, I certainly would have invited him to get to know my wallet better. I've also written in the past about the gorgeous waiters I met in the restaurants on the river in Phnom Pehn. I was desperately looking for a sign - any sign at all - that they may be interested in catching up after work. Unfortunately, they weren't, so I left it at that. I was bitterly disappointed, but at least I got to eat my meal with a raging hard-on whilst surreptitiously ogling them. . And food tastes so much better with a hard-on!

Close it? Why? We are having a rather civil exchange of opinions. We can do that on this site.

You're confusing meeting a future partner with propositioning a stranger for sex. They are not the same.

Firecat, what prices are the guys chasing in Krakow and Madrid? I'm heading off to Europe next month and will try out the apps.

Yes ryanasia, there's one right here. And proud of the fact that I can enjoy a fantastic sex life, especially in Asia. However, I draw the line at propositioning guys outside of the known gay areas and venues. And this is where I think some of you have misunderstood Nirish's post and have wrongly criticised him. I'm sure he won't mind me telling you all that he is a total slut. But like me, he sees the distinction between guys on the game and thus freely approachable for sex in the gay venues in which they work, as opposed to a guy working in a restaurant, shop, etc who might be offended if a farang approached him and suggested he prostitute himself. Don't get me wrong. I've salivated numerous times over gorgeous guys who don't work in the gay service industry but wouldn't dream of approaching them...... unless they show some interest first. Then all bets are off-I'd go in for the kill! At the end of the day, to each his own.

O.k. I'll go first. How do money boys manage to get it up and perform when their customer is really, really unattractive?

People sometimes mention the connection between drugs and criminal organisations, suggesting that somehow the link will go away if they are taken out of the supply chain. Well, it will, but the problems associated with the criminals will still be there . They won't go away. The bikies will soon find something else to get their teeth into. I wasn't commenting on whether or not drugs should be legalised. The argument for legalising drugs on the basis that they are still available despite all government efforts to crack down on users and their suppliers seems a little thin. Law enforcement agencies have not been able to prevent burglaries either. Does that mean they should also be legalised?? Where do you draw the line? Drug use is sometimes referred to as a victimless crime. But in reality, it isn't. Taxpayers' money is used to care for them when they overdose, are unable to work, get ill, etc. They are also forced to pay for their rehabilitation, the costs of keeping them in prison, etc. Having said that, as an ex-smoker I cannot complain about the use of my own taxpayer money to look after them.
-
One thing's for sure - if they legalise drugs the criminals will just move on to something else. They still need their steady income. A different problem will just be created.

Reminds me of the time I went into a certain shop in Siam Paragon dressed very casually - the shop assistants looked the other way and didn't want anything to do with me. I had my Visa card in my hot little hand, ready to spend (but not $100,000!) Of well, their loss, not mine.

Yes, that's right. Tops are a dime a dozen in Pattaya. It's the hunky, masculine bottoms that are hard to come by. I've no interest at all in fem boys, and they make up the vast majority of bottoms.

I guess it's like any other profession- there is always a minority who do particularly well due to the exceptional talents they possess. The others can only look on in envy.

"some ridiculous article in a publication that has little real knowledge of the country. " Firecat, the author of the article appears to be Thai. How can you be so sure that he doesn't know his own country? As for the guys earning 6000 baht per week, I can only speak from personal experience. There wouldn't be many making that kind of money, and even fewer bringing in that amount for every week of the year. However, the guy who I spent many holidays with in Pattaya was certainly earning more than 6000 baht per week. I mentioned in a post on another gay forum how he spent 19,000 baht per month on living expenses. On top of that he sent money home every month and was also able to save money every month. When I was in town he was earning much more than 6000 baht per week. I spent 9-10 weeks a year with him. If you average out how much he received from me in total over the year, it would work out at more than 3000 baht per week over 52 weeks. When I wasn't in town he was offed 4-5 times a week, sometimes for long time. Also, he had 4 farang who were sending him money every month ( one American guy was sending him 15,000 baht per month), plus regular customers like myself who would spend their holiday with him. Many farang visit Thailand multiple times during the year and have their favourite guy each visit. And if that guy is especially hot, chances are he'll have lots of regulars at various times during the year, plus a monthly gift of money from farang if he is lucky. I'm also reminded of a number of boys working in Soi Twilight who were offed every single night I went to the bar. One guy in particular was a very small guy with an absolutely enormous cock and he was always pre-booked. He would often be offed more than once every night. So these guys do exist. They are the bar stars. They may not make 6000 baht every week of the year, but it would average our at that amount over an entire year.
-
Not from me. I actually agree with you.
-
I think part of the problem with the boys and their poor money management is the fact that they have no adults there to advise them - Dad and the rest of the family are all back home so the boys only have each other to rely on for advice. Not an ideal situation.
-
Michael, you say you bought over 40 motorbikes over the years but stopped once you realised they were selling them off to raise money. Did it really only sink in what they were doing after buying so many motorbikes??
-
Which one is the bar star??
-
Looks great. And that "balcony" is awesome!

Re: boys and their motorcycles /motorbikes/ cars Firecat, I also have quite a lot of experience with moneyboys in Thailand. I'm struggling to think of guys I've offed over the years who DIDN'T own a motorbike. And the guys I know at All of Me all own motorbikes, as do the guys at Goodboys - they park them all in a row next to the bar. My regular from Golden Cock has just bought a new Honda, and many other guys I've offed from Natureboy also own motorbikes. My ex-regular from Natureboy in Bangkok owns a car, as does my regular guy in Pattaya, They are the only boys I know who own cars. As other posters have pointed out, we all have different experiences.
-
Can anyone put names to the guys?
-
Lol All the boys want an iPhone but they don't need one. They can pick up a cheap smart phone which can do everything they want for a few thousand baht at Tukom -at least that's what they tell me.

Bangkok/Pattaya June-July 2016 Trip Report: To Butterfly or not to Butterfly

Soda seems to be nothing more than a manipulative, money hungry shit. I don't care how good the sex is, I could not enjoy spending any time at all with somehow like that. -
