I've stayed at the Lotus a number of times, simply because it is right opposite Adams Apple. But as I mentioned earlier, it can be difficult and expensive finding transport into town and back. It's quite far from downtown.

Yes, a very long way and difficult to get to and from them if you stay downtown. Getting a tuk-tuk from Adams Apple may be difficult, although the bar could probably call a tuk-tuk for you. Expensive transport, too, especially late at night.

Why not? Not all of us meet our partners in bars or saunas. And not all gay guys participate in the gay scene. And certainly not in the areas we farang frequent. If you want to find a guy on the scene, I think you'd have better luck in the Thai-for-Thai bars.

The worse thing is to let the boys (and mamasans) think you are a newbie. I always tell them I'm a veteran sex tourist - although not in those words!
